ECG is one of the best method to give clear information about cardiac arrhythmia. ECG signal is contaminated by various noises of various stages. To remove noise from the ECG signal, dwt based symlet wavelet function is used. In this work, the ECG signals are taken from the MIT-BIH arrhythmia database. The major sources of noise like color noise, real muscle artifact, electrode motion and baseline wander noises are taken from MIT-BIH noise stress test database. This methodology involves four steps. They are decomposition, thresholding, denoising and calculate SNR values for ECG signals. DWT based Symlet wavelet function is used to decompose and denoising the ECG signal. After decomposing, thresholding technique is applied to detailed coefficient, to obtain threshold signal. Denoised signal is obtained from threshold signal. Finally the SNR value is calculated for denoised signal. The simulation results show that the proposed work is able to reduce noise from the noisy ECG signals and it also reliable even the signal condition is poor.","PeriodicalId":159789,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Computing Technologies and Intelligent Data Engineering (ICCTIDE'16)","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134564374","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) are vulnerable to various types of attacks due to inherently in-secure wireless communication medium. In this work the behavior and impact of Jellyfish attack and Black hole attack over MANETs were analyzed. Jelly fish attacks exploit the behavior of closed loop protocols such as TCP, thus the detection process becomes to difficult. Consequently the traffic is disrupted leading to degradation in network throughput. TCP has well known vulnerabilities to delay, drop and disorder the packets. The system presents a new trust based detection algorithm that takes care of jellyfish attacks in a MANET. This proposed algorithm is based on trustworthiness of the nodes in network. Every node uses locally calculated trust values which are collected over a time period to identify whether its neighbor node is a attacker or not. The attacker nodes observe the packets during the packet transmission and drop the packets before forwarding it to the destination.","PeriodicalId":159789,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Computing Technologies and Intelligent Data Engineering (ICCTIDE'16)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130378460","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Breast cancer can be treated effectively only if it is detected at the early stages. Thermography is a substitute for mammography and its significance is increased due to its non-invasiveness in breast cancer detection. In this work, suitable image enhancement algorithm is identified for a better support to the subjective analysis of breast cancer. The normal and abnormal images are also distinguished by extracting the features from the enhanced images. This paper consists of three stages of processing; In the first stage, separation of the region of breast from the original image is performed. In the second stage, image enhancement using overall brightness local contrast adaptive equalization (OBLCAE) algorithm is applied which is better even for low illumination color image. This method handles local contrast of low illumination color image and color thermograms can be effectively enhanced. In the final stage, feature extraction matrix is generated by applying GLCM over the enhanced image. This paper provides better support to the diagnosis of disease in breast based on the objective and subjective measures, which are calculated from breast images. In Future work, it can be used to classify the thermograms to provide a breast diagnostic tool for the detection of breast abnormalities.","PeriodicalId":159789,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Computing Technologies and Intelligent Data Engineering (ICCTIDE'16)","volume":"69 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126175452","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The focus of our work is to make some simplifications in the Ray casting algorithm, a Direct Volume Rendering technique. The idea is to group the rays that are cast from similar voxels and the groups are verified for similarity on every successive sampling. This paper also compares the results with those results generated by the traditional ray casting in order ensure image quality. As the rays are cast in groups, the computational complexity of the rendering algorithm is reduced due to the decrease in the total number of samples being actually processed.","PeriodicalId":159789,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Computing Technologies and Intelligent Data Engineering (ICCTIDE'16)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128425726","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
