The oscillator is based on simple nonlinear circuit, gain stage and delay line. Chaotic systems are characterized by an extreme sensitivity to initial conditions. In this paper, instead of initial condition, the initial input wave (or voltage) is used. For chaotic system control also the gain of the amplifier is changed for different signal on output. Therefore for some values of gain, the output is periodic - non chaotic, but can be changed to chaotic when gain is increased. The behavior of chaotic oscillator was simulated as electronic circuit and results of simulations are presented. This oscillator can be used in different applications where chaotic - non chaotic behavior is important, e.g. generators, encryptions etc.","PeriodicalId":159747,"journal":{"name":"2016 26th International Conference Radioelektronika (RADIOELEKTRONIKA)","volume":"65 3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-04-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127407595","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There are several promising design approaches that jointly can reduce this gap significantly. Approximate computing is one of them and in recent years, has attracted the strongest attention of the scientific community. Approximate computing exploits inherent error-resilience of applications and features high-performance energy-efficient software and hardware implementations by trading-off computational quality (e.g., accuracy) for computational efforts (e.g., performance and energy). Over the decade, several research efforts have explored approximate computing throughout all the layers of computing stack, however, most of the work at hardware level of abstraction has been proposed on adders. In this paper, we first explain briefly - why approximate adders have attracted the strongest attention? We then provide a comparative survey of state-of-the-art approximate adders. We provide comparison based on both conventional design metrics as well as approximate computing design metrics.","PeriodicalId":159747,"journal":{"name":"2016 26th International Conference Radioelektronika (RADIOELEKTRONIKA)","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-04-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127725304","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Comparators, being an essential building block of most high speed devices like Analogue to Digital Converters, are one of the most important components used in signal processing and communication systems. Also it plays a challenging role in high speed mixed signal system designs. In this paper, we have presented an ultra-high speed simple dynamic comparator design using 65nm UMC technology. The circuit is operating at a clock frequency of 6.66GHz and input signal frequency of around 3.33GHz. The propagation delay is minimized to about 47.14ps with a low noise of about 0.531fV2/Hz which makes the proposed structure favourable for Flash or Pipelined data conversion applications. However, it uses only a total of 12 MOS transistors with minimum W/L ratios to make the circuit simple and area efficient, without affecting its performance. With the enhancement of speed and keeping other parameters like power & energy at its optimum value, this comparator circuit is a novel design that can be used in any high speed applications.","PeriodicalId":159747,"journal":{"name":"2016 26th International Conference Radioelektronika (RADIOELEKTRONIKA)","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-04-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129450834","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This fact is caused by losses of the amplification factor of active elements at high frequencies. Some solutions of this problem had been already published for circuits working in the voltage mode, but this problem was not satisfactorily solved for circuits working in the current mode. Therefore, this article presents one of the possible solutions of this problem for circuits working in the current mode.","PeriodicalId":159747,"journal":{"name":"2016 26th International Conference Radioelektronika (RADIOELEKTRONIKA)","volume":"18 2","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-04-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131845034","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The topology with the two monolithically realized receive channels allows on-line monitoring of the difference between the reference, i.e. well-known medium, and the medium under test (MUT). The main goal of this paper is analysis of transient effects during operation of traction vehicles in various modes which can arise during short-circuits in traction system. The protection settings have to be done for all possible states in traction system including identification of short-circuits in the case of recuperation vehicle and protections on the board of this vehicle, which have to be able to detect these short-circuits and also the large voltage drops at catenary. The time of detection are given by safe touch voltage. At the present this problem is studied only by simulations in the given range with partial verification of results by real measurements due to technical and financial costs. This leads to requirements of quality assessment, especially in video domain. Compression together with transmission link imperfection can be considered as two main factors that influence the quality. This paper deals with assessment of impact of HEVC/H.265 and VP9 compression standards on the video quality for high resolutions using objective metrics and defining theirs efficiency. The evaluation is done for four types of sequences with Full HD and Ultra HD resolutions depending on content. The results showed that there is no big difference between the tested codecs - both reach similar efficiency.
