Material and Methods: The research is in cross-sectional type. The sample of the study consisted of 400 parents living in different cities in Türkiye (n=400). Online data collection forms that participants could apply themselves were created in the web and delivered to parents by using social media accounts, internet and social media sharing platforms about breastfeeding. Percentage, average, standard deviation, student t, one-way ANOVA (post hoc: Bonferroni), Pearson correlation tests were used for data analysis. Results: It was determined that 35.4% of mothers and 36.9% of fathers participated in the study. In the study, the mean breastfeeding self-efficacy score of the mothers was 55.30±9.28, the mean breastfeeding support score of the fathers was 131.42±28.69, and the mean father-baby attachment score was 75.11±9.41. It is observed that there is a highly positive, weak linear relationship between mothers’ breastfeeding self-efficacy scores and fa- thers’ understanding of breastfeeding, helping, valuing, readiness, sensitivity sub-dimensions, total score and median attachment scores (p<0.001). In this study, it was determined that fathers’ support to breastfeeding effects mothers’ breastfeeding self-efficacy and father in- fant attachment positively (p<0.001). Conclusion: I n this study, it was determined that fathers’ support for breastfeeding positively affected mothers’ breastfeeding self-efficacy and father-infant attachment. Health professionals should support fathers to provide them supporting their wifes for breastfeeding.","PeriodicalId":159295,"journal":{"name":"Turkiye Klinikleri Journal of Nursing Sciences","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131563055","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Material and Methods: The sample of this descriptive and retrospective study consisted of the electronic nursing care plans of 429 patients who received treatment due to the diagnosis of COVID-19 in the intensive care units of a hospital between 15 March, 2020 and 15 March, 2022. Data were collected between June and July 2022 using a descriptive characteristics form, a patient care plan evaluation form, and the quality measurement tool for nursing diagnosis, interventions, and outcomes. Results: The nurses were found to use 27 different nursing diagnoses in their care plans and they mostly preferred the nursing diagnoses of risk for infection (n=608), risk for ineffective breathing pattern (n=282), and risk for ı mpaired oral mucous membrane integrity (n=233). The nurses labeled 87.66% of the nursing diagnosis correctly and identified 72.78% of the related factors and descriptive characteristics and 58.04% of the goals at an adequate level, 74.77% of the nursing interventions feasibly, and 47.26% of the evaluation at an adequate level. The mean score of the nurses for the quality measurement tool for nursing diagnosis, interventions, and outcomes was 51.82±6.89. Conclusion: It was seen that the nurses were sufficient in the electronic nursing process they prepared for the patients treated with the diagnosis of COVID-19, except for the evaluation, and the quality of the nursing process was above the average. It is recommended to provide training to nurses, especially for the evaluation stage of the nursing process.","PeriodicalId":159295,"journal":{"name":"Turkiye Klinikleri Journal of Nursing Sciences","volume":"153 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114524961","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
