Patients in the dental clinic answered 2 questionnaires: Dental Patient Feedback on Consultation (DPFC) and another regarding their oral health perceptions using a visual analog scale (VAS) and sociodemographic backgrounds. The correlation between patient’s satisfaction and other numerical variables was determined using Spearman's test. The Kruskal-Wallis and Mann-Whitney tests were used to compare the patient’s satisfaction scores and the categories of the independent variables (p≤0.05). The median DPFC score was 2.9. All participants were very satisfied considering the active dentist listening (Q3) and the dental treatment advices (Q16). The lowest score was observed about family habits and medical history in oral health (Q9:2.0). With respect to their oral health perceptions, the majority of the participants demonstrated satisfaction with their chewing, smile and dental aesthetics. Being younger than 40 years influenced the satisfaction with oral health satisfaction when the VAS score was analyzed. The skin colour (p=0.001 and p=0.005) and the marital status (p=0.001 and p=0.006) of the participants also demonstrated a statistically positive signiticant correlation between DPFC and VAS scores, respectively. There was a high level of patient’s satisfaction with the ability of the dentist to communicate in the dental hospital analyzed. Age, color skin, and the marital status of patients interfered in the satisfaction about patient-dentist communication and their oral health perception. Keywords: Communication. Hospitais. To analyze sociodemographic, clinical, and pharmacological factors associated with death in patients with Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), from a Brazilian referral public hospital. This is a cross-sectional study, with data from the hospital records of patients (≥ 18 years old) diagnosed with COVID-19, from March 2020 to March 2021. The sample was classified according to the clinical outcome into two groups (death and discharge), among which statistical associations were performed with the variables of interest, with a 5% significance level. Factors such as need for intensive care, use of mechanical ventilation, and total length of hospital stay was related to higher hospital mortality, as well as the permanence of changes in clinical laboratory testing, including lactic acid, D-dimer, markers of hepatic and renal function, C-Reactive protein, anemia, leukocytosis, lymphopenia, thrombocytopenia, pH, and blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) (P < 0.05). Medications used most frequently in the studied hospital for the treatment of COVID-19, such as enoxaparin, dexamethasone, ivermectin, acetylcysteine, chloroquine, and clarithromycin were correlated with morbimortality (P < 0.05). Clinical outcome was influenced by patient-related factors, such as age and comorbidities, however, therapeutic interventions and the choice of medication also impacted morbimortality. The CBCT scans were applied to evaluate midpalatal suture maturation status and comprised stages previously classified as B (29), C (92) and D (37). Each axial image was subdivided into six parts in the anteroposterior direction, and each portion was classified according to MPS maturational evaluation methodology. New definitions of stages were proposed. The reliability of the method was tested by two examiners and the intra- and inter-examiner concordances were defined for each evaluation through weighted kappa coefficients and 95% confidence intervals. The chi-square test was used to compare the groups. In all statistical tests, a significance level of 5% was adopted. Two new maturational stages were defined: sub-stage C- and sub-stage C+, with prevalence of 12% and 8.9%, respectively, in 11 to 20-year-olds. The redefinition and validation of the maturational stages of MPS, considering the sub-stages C- and C+, may allow to elucidate the difference in the prognosis of Rapid Maxillary Expansion among individuals aged 11 to 20 years. The Apgar score can help diagnose scenarios of neonatal anoxia or hypoxia. This is a retrospective, descriptive, and analytical study that used secondary data from DATASUS (Department of Informatics of the Unified Health System), from 1994 to 2018. The studied population includes all live births in Brazil during this period. The inclusion criteria were pregnant women over 15 years old, and the exclusion criteria were multiple pregnancies, pregnancies lasting less than 37 weeks, and newborns with congenital anomalies. These criteria were established to reduce potential confounding factors in the analysis that could lead to errors in interpretation of the results. The variables studied were place of delivery, type of delivery, and number of prenatal consultations. As results, having 7 or more prenatal consultations is a protective factor for alterations in the Apgar score, as well as cesarean delivery and hospital delivery. It was observed that pregnancy care, regarding the studied variables, influences the Apgar score. However, future studies in different populations are necessary to confirm these results. The objective of this studt was to report the occurrence of fatigue and pain in patients with HNC. This was a series of prospective clinical cases describing the clinical history of four patients with HNC submitted to radio chemotherapeutic treatment, users of a public oncology service. To assess the degree of fatigue, the Brief Fatigue Inventory questionnaire was applied at five different moments during the antineoplastic treatment and pain analysis, an analog pain scale was used. The analysis of the questionnaires showed that fatigue was a frequent complaint and intensified with the advance of antineoplastic therapy. Its occurrence was also related to the difficulty performing daily activities. Painful symptomatology has been reported by patients to varying degrees. The occurrence of fatigue and pain in patients with HNC presents variability due to the individual's own experience, reflected by their socioeconomic and cultural context and their personal perception of the illness process.
