We can use them in our phones, laptops, offices, and other devices. However, pupils' attendance is still taken manually, which takes a long time and is extremely inefficient. To preserve that valuable time, we needed an automated operating attendance system that eliminated all of the drawbacks of collecting attendance on paper. We're putting together a system that's both efficient and dependable. Using OpenCV, we created a face recognition-based attendance system. We can apply our attendance system anywhere, not just for students. For face detecting and recognizing, the Haar Cascade algorithm is utilized.","PeriodicalId":158124,"journal":{"name":"2023 5th Biennial International Conference on Nascent Technologies in Engineering (ICNTE)","volume":"158 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125231428","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper discusses the idea to upgrade the surveillance system of high-profile building complexes by providing a real time access of information of any visitor/guest, using face detection and recognition and also providing the real time information of visitors with the help of augmented reality. The proposed system works on the principle of identification and data retrieval from the database. At first, it registers every visitor and then captures visitor’s face data, followed by this wherever visitor comes in camera range inside campus , it recognizes the visitor’s face based on data retrieval from dataset , further it projects the visitor data at real time as an augmented reality. It has significant applications in the field of security and surveillance especially for high-profile buildings like government offices, confidential complexes and corporate offices etc.","PeriodicalId":158124,"journal":{"name":"2023 5th Biennial International Conference on Nascent Technologies in Engineering (ICNTE)","volume":"52 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129440233","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), which is particularly helpful for visualizing the brain, can be used to find these tumours. However, manual detection takes more time, which results in occasional inaccuracies. In this study, we suggested using an ensemble learning technique to classify brain tumours based on MRI scans. Some deep learning algorithms carry out the task of scouring a hypothesis space in search of an appropriate hypothesis that will produce accurate predictions for a specific tumour situation. To provide a more accurate hypothesis for the prediction of brain tumours, ensembles combine several competing ideas. By putting the combination of pretrained models to the test, a proposed model is developed on top of earlier research on ensemble approaches. In this paradigm, certain ML classification algorithms combine and segment features extracted using transfer learning to enhance performance. With the ensemble-based classifier, we were able to achieve 99% accuracy.","PeriodicalId":158124,"journal":{"name":"2023 5th Biennial International Conference on Nascent Technologies in Engineering (ICNTE)","volume":"115 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126034781","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Instead, banks continue to use the manual handling of bank checks which is the normal practice. This procedure can take several days for the money to transfer. In this project, we proposed a system that validates the cheque by retrieving details like the Payee name, Amount (in words as well as in digits), date, and bank details using optical character recognition (OCR) it also does verification of the signature on cheque and cross checks it with the image stored in the database. The proposed system uses OpenCV for image processing and segmentation of bank cheque. This system uses EasyOCR for extracting text from the image whereas a custom dataset is used to test this system and get the result. The performance and efficiency are measured on the self-generated dataset of bank cheque.","PeriodicalId":158124,"journal":{"name":"2023 5th Biennial International Conference on Nascent Technologies in Engineering (ICNTE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128960044","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

But this ever increasing growth in all aspects of society has had an unfavorable effect on environmental issues in hand. Technological advancements have led to an enormous rise in carbon emission levels since the last two decades, recording the highest amount in the year of 2021. Energy production, transportation, industries and manufacturing are the major sectors contributing heavily to the global carbon footprint. This ultimately boils down to the excessive use of nonrenewable energy resources and how in turn it is disturbing the ecological balance of our planet. If this goes on as things stand, our future generations will suffer to fulfill their basic needs. Environmental friendly sustainable development technologies should be adopted in order to limit our carbon emission levels. Authorities and policy makers should focus on bringing in these large scale development changes in the most effective and efficient manner. This is only possible if there is absolute clarity on which sectors contribute the most to global carbon footprint. Thus, in this paper we have studied various sectors contributing to carbon emission and have summarised on new technologies and ideas which could positively impact the current environmental issues.","PeriodicalId":158124,"journal":{"name":"2023 5th Biennial International Conference on Nascent Technologies in Engineering (ICNTE)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128431215","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Currently, diagnosing DR involves an in-depth arduous examination of digital colour fundus pictures of the retina by a qualified practitioner. By looking for lesions connected to the vascular anomalies brought on by the illness, ophthalmologist can recognise diabetic retinopathy. Although this strategy works, it has substantial resource requirements. It has long been understood that a thorough and automated approach of detecting diabetic retinopathy is necessary, and prior initiatives have achieved excellent strides utilising image classification, pattern recognition, and machine learning. This project seeks for automated detection, grading, and segmentation of Diabetic Retinopathy. In our project we aim to improve image segmentation using UNet and to automise the project using Convolutional Neural Networks and VGG16.","PeriodicalId":158124,"journal":{"name":"2023 5th Biennial International Conference on Nascent Technologies in Engineering (ICNTE)","volume":"15 6","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"113942628","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The recent trend in research focuses on developing novel materials to overcome these issues. All inorganic lead free perovskite materials can be very promising materials for photocatalytic devices not only from technical aspects but also from environmental aspects. In this work, cesium germanium iodide (CsGeI3) and cesium stannous bromide (CsSnBr3) have been prepared by co-precipitation method. Formation of crystalline phases of the materials are confirmed by X-ray diffraction studies, however, the presence of other phases indicates incomplete reaction or immediate decomposition of the perovskite materials. Moreover, band gap of the materials determined from absorption studies also confirm the decomposition of perovskite materials on exposure to air. There is a scope to prevent decomposition and improve the stability either by optimizing synthesis parameters or incorporating stable additives. This will lead to development of low cost but efficient photocatalysts for making our environment better.","PeriodicalId":158124,"journal":{"name":"2023 5th Biennial International Conference on Nascent Technologies in Engineering (ICNTE)","volume":"259 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133287349","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Lung cancer is a type of cancer where the infected cells in the lungs multiply rapidly at a high rate. This abnormal growth of cells, which eventually leads to cancer can be identified using modern data analysis. Detecting cancer symptoms at an early stage plays a crucial role for the patients who may suffer later, if not detected. One of the major problems is the increasing fad of smoking tobacco in youngsters. Air pollutants from industries which get inhaled by people are some of the main causes of increasing lung cancer in India. The main focus of this study is to predict lung cancer in different patients using Machine Learning (ML) algorithms such as a random forest classifier(RFC), k-nearest neighbour(KNN), K-means, Support vector machine(SVM), and decision tree classifier(DTC). The key objective of this research is the analysis of different machine learning algorithms based on their performance metrics.","PeriodicalId":158124,"journal":{"name":"2023 5th Biennial International Conference on Nascent Technologies in Engineering (ICNTE)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123899596","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
