These objects generate a wealth of data that can provide valuable insights into our daily needs. Context-aware systems have emerged as intelligent systems that assist users in making service consumption choices based on their contextual information and preferences. However, the development of a context-aware trust management framework in SIoT faces a significant challenge due to the limited availability of dynamic and reliable context information from the objects users interact within their environments. To overcome this challenge, it is proposed to use contextual information obtained from IoT objects and other sources to construct a framework that establishes connections between the core modules of a SIoT environment and facilitates trustworthy inferences. This framework incorporates trust management and context information to evaluate the trustworthiness of devices, aiming to build trust among users and enhance the trustworthiness of devices.","PeriodicalId":158016,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Conference on Intelligent Computing, Communication, Networking and Services (ICCNS)","volume":"54 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122988533","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Each of them has application programming interface (API) to access its data. People willingly store their private information, photos, thoughts and locations in numerous forums. We decided to determine how much information we could obtain about a person using automatic cloud serverless architectures, social network’s APIs and advanced Data Science models and algorithms. The paper shows how vulnerable privacy is and how easy it is to consolidate users’ information using modern cloud technologies. We were able to obtain geolocations, friends, similar profiles, predict influencers, and even predict missing friends using Machine Learning graph models. At the end of the day, people should always guard their private information and innovative social platform corporations should carefully think about what data could be given to third parties.","PeriodicalId":158016,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Conference on Intelligent Computing, Communication, Networking and Services (ICCNS)","volume":"263 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122109404","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This disease can be caused by various factors, and individuals often visit diagnostic centers and consult with doctors to identify the root cause. Fortunately, Machine Learning (ML) techniques have proven effective in predicting and detecting diabetes. However, developing robust ML models requires access to large datasets obtained from various healthcare systems. This poses significant privacy and confidentiality concerns, as sharing personal health data can be risky. The primary objective of this study is to design a robust diabetes mellitus prediction system using an ML-based binary classification approach along with federated learning strategies. The aim is to develop a system that can deliver performance comparable to centralized learning while ensuring data privacy and confidentiality. The results demonstrate that federated learning can provide comparable performance to centralized learning, thus making it a promising candidate for developing robust diabetes prediction models. Additionally, the use of federated learning strategies can help overcome the privacy and confidentiality concerns associated with large healthcare datasets from various healthcare systems. The findings of this study suggest that machine learning, particularly federated learning, can significantly contribute to the development of effective diabetes prediction models while addressing privacy and confidentiality concerns.","PeriodicalId":158016,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Conference on Intelligent Computing, Communication, Networking and Services (ICCNS)","volume":"89 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125462587","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the performance of most extended Optical Character Recognition (OCR) tools for this specific task is quite poor. In this work, we transform the very well known YOLO object detection algorithm to an OCR algorithm able to detect and recognize real numbers represented by 7-segment digits. A set of images labeled in YOLO format is first needed in order to retrain a specific YOLO model. Then, the re-trained YOLO inference output is used to translate the images representing digits of a real number. The results obtained show that the performed translations have a high degree of confidence but there is a possibility of confusing digits or detecting more than one decimal point that can be later corrected.","PeriodicalId":158016,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Conference on Intelligent Computing, Communication, Networking and Services (ICCNS)","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129435223","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A fit-for-purpose DSRM research framework has been designed to guide the research design and project-manage the iCanViz research project. The iCanViz project is an intelligent cancer data analytics visualizer aligned to multiple cancer sites, cancer incidences, risk correlations, survivals, and deaths in the Arab world within certain years of reported cancer incidences per cancer site. The DSRM approach has been deemed closely aligned with the iCanViz research project. This is primarily due to its ability to articulate and incorporate cancer care data strategy use-cases as agile software development increments within the iCanViz DSRM research framework. Also, the adaptation of the iCanViz DSRM research framework has contributed to enhancing the even distribution and concurrent execution of cancer care data analytics tasks across the software development and research team. Furthermore, the iCanViz DSRM research design has proven effective in designing research frameworks that bridge the gap between the world of cancer care and the creation of cancer care data analytics systems. With a small research team, the iCanViz project achieved this within a relatively short time frame of less than a year.","PeriodicalId":158016,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Conference on Intelligent Computing, Communication, Networking and Services (ICCNS)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128701925","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
