The crystal structure, morphology, particle size, functional groups, chemical composition, thermal stability, and magnetic properties of magnetic nanomaterials synthesized at different stages were characterized and analyzed, confirming the successful synthesis of two magnetic nano-Fe<sub>3</sub>O<sub>4</sub> demulsifiers with a particle size of around 10 nm and superparamagnetism. Through bottle tests, it was demonstrated that at 70 °C and within 90 min, the demulsification efficiencies of alkyl phenolic resin polyether and silicon-containing polyether demulsifiers for crude oil emulsions were 80.0% and 82.5%, respectively. In contrast, the demulsification efficiencies of Fe<sub>3</sub>O<sub>4</sub>@AP and Fe<sub>3</sub>O<sub>4</sub>@SP reached 95.0% each. Interfacial tension tests revealed that the superior demulsification performance of polyether-grafted nano-Fe<sub>3</sub>O<sub>4</sub> is attributed to the rapid diffusion in the continuous phase and the higher interfacial activity of the magnetic nanoparticles.","PeriodicalId":15574,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Dispersion Science and Technology","volume":"1 1","pages":"1-11"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2025-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"147886979","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"化学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The corrosion inhibition performance was evaluated using Tafel polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The mechanism was analyzed using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), and contact angle measurements. Furthermore, quantum chemical calculations were employed to investigate the action mechanism in more detail. The results showed that NA effectively inhibited the corrosion of 1050 A, 304SS, and Q235 simultaneously, exhibiting the highest inhibition efficiency (93%) for Q235. The adsorption mode of NA is mainly chemical adsorption (Δ<i>G</i><sub>ads</sub> &lt; −40 kJ·mol<sup>−1</sup>), following the Langmuir adsorption isotherm. NA significantly increased the apparent activation energy of the corrosion reaction from 40.2, 61.1, 56.2 kJ·mol<sup>−1</sup> to 61.9, 87.2, 104.5 kJ·mol<sup>−1</sup> for 1050 A, 304SS, and Q235, respectively, thereby reducing the tendency for corrosion to occur. Furthermore, a low energy gap value (5.54 eV) indicated that NA possesses a high adsorption capacity.","PeriodicalId":15574,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Dispersion Science and Technology","volume":"1 1","pages":"1-10"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2025-12-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"147920747","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"化学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Herein, we introduce the Gemini surfactant sodium dilauramidoglutamide lysine (DLGL) to overcome this limitation. Highly stable MEL-B-based unilamellar nanovesicles (&lt; 100 nm) are formulated with DLGL. At an optimal DLGL/MEL-B ratio of 0.2, the binary vesicles exhibit excellent stability, showing negligible size variation (&lt; 3 nm) across different storage temperatures and maintaining a zeta potential absolute value consistently above 30 mV. These vesicles significantly enhance the skin permeation of hydrophilic <i>Dendrobium officinale</i> oligosaccharides (DOOS), achieving twice the cumulative permeation compared to the pure DOOS solution at 8 h. Moreover, the formation of ternary vesicles by incorporating lecithin further enhance transdermal delivery.","PeriodicalId":15574,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Dispersion Science and Technology","volume":"1 1","pages":"1-11"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2025-11-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"147892289","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"化学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

After the incorporation of a curing agent and a silane coupling agent as additives, a superhydrophilic coating was successfully prepared. The resulting mixed solution was applied to substrates using a spraying technique, followed by thermal curing to achieve the desired superhydrophilic properties. The physical and chemical characteristics of the superhydrophilic coating were thoroughly characterized and evaluated. The results demonstrate effective modification of the coating. Water droplets spread completely across the coating surface within 1 s, achieving a contact angle of less than 10°. The coating exhibited outstanding physical and chemical performance in various tests, including impact resistance, hardness, high-temperature resistance, water resistance, and UV aging. Furthermore, the coating demonstrated good adaptability and stability on different substrates. It could be directly applied to surfaces such as iron sheets, PET film, glass, and glass slides. In this study, iron sheets were selected as the substrate for the superhydrophilic coating to ensure that the mechanical property testing requirements of the coating could be adequately met. The superhydrophilic coating prepared in this paper has superhydrophilicity (water contact 6.384°), high light transmittance, stability and self-cleaning function, and has great application potential in hydrophilic modification of PET films, coating of multifunctional medical equipment, etc.","PeriodicalId":15574,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Dispersion Science and Technology","volume":"1 1","pages":"1-14"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2025-09-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"147908053","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"化学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
