AA 6063-T6 aluminum alloy is commonly used in various industrial sectors such as civil construction, automobile industry, among others, due to its excellent mechanical properties and corrosion resistance. However, it has a low machinability index in drilling operations due to its ductility, it is characterized by long chips that can lead to drill breakage. The present work aims to analyze the quality of the holes, through the geometric deviations and surface roughness. The drilling process uses a 6.5 mm diameter uncoated polished carbide drill with a cylindrical shank and straight flutes for chip exit and the possibility of applying high pressure internal lubrication and cooling. We propose 2 independent variables with 3 factors, which are: cutting speed (200 and 240 m/min); advance (0.2 and 0.3 mm/rev) and application of cutting fluid at high pressure (35 and 60 Kgf/cm2). The holes were drilled continuously without chip breaking strategy for a length of 18 mm, all tests were replicated.
