The proposed formulation allows analyzing some large-scale models using a local refinement of the differential mesh based on the h-adaptation of the rectangular elements. The final form of the algorithm is implemented to estimate field phenomena connected with the propagation of high frequency electromagnetic waves in building constructions. The electrical losses in materials caused by conducting and displacement currents are taken into account. The presented algorithm is applied to analyze electromagnetic field around a pillar of a building, in the band of some local wireless communication systems. The results obtained from the proposed FDFD scheme are confronted with the field distribution computed using FDTD and FEM methods.","PeriodicalId":154091,"journal":{"name":"2016 17th International Conference Computational Problems of Electrical Engineering (CPEE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130449633","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The objective function takes into account the required expansion of the bore of the clamping head. The current heating study was to determine the constant temperature increments of individual elements of the test high current electric contact. At the same time, in the case of the test electric contact, also in determining whether the measured temperature increments during the flow of rated current do not exceed the limit values laid down by the relevant standards. The research started with a field analysis. The tests were carried out using the ANSYS environment. It is a tool developed for over 40 years that enables modelling and analysing objects using the finite element method. It consists of many software solutions tailored to the needs of the selected simulation. The ANSYS Mechanical Simulation Software was applied to carry out the thermal-electrical analysis. It has all the necessary features to represent the actual physical values in the research. The aim of this study was to raise the problem of the optimal parameter selection of the high current flat formation at which the energy transfer would take place with the greatest efficiency. The physical quantity that has been taken into special consideration in the analysis of different shapes was the temperature - and the distribution of its value in the area of the contact system. The research included in this study may contribute to a better understanding of the phenomena of electricity in conductors, for transmitting high power. An integral part of the flow of electric current is generation of heat. The paper therefore focused in particular on the temperature distribution and the knowledge of the phenomena on which it depends.","PeriodicalId":154091,"journal":{"name":"2016 17th International Conference Computational Problems of Electrical Engineering (CPEE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131119972","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The most common application in medicine relates to medical imaging for diagnostics' purpose. This paper presents another field of pattern recognition application - mining medical records. Analysis of treatment pathways (in which diagnostic and therapeutic procedures are sequenced on a timeline) as a mean of providing and standardized patient care of high quality, is one of the issues gaining in importance in the last decade in the field of medical informatics. As there is a need for scalable computational tools for pattern exploration, we propose a conceptual framework, adapted to Poland's context, for expressing data mining tasks to discover knowledge about patients and providers similarities involving multiple time and procedure granularities.","PeriodicalId":154091,"journal":{"name":"2016 17th International Conference Computational Problems of Electrical Engineering (CPEE)","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133145072","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
