Previous comparative analyses of different color space models did not sufficiently address the performance of color space models against the cases where training samples for skin color and test samples are taken under different environments. In this paper, we present a comparative study on different color space models for skin color segmentation. To show the significance of choosing the proper color space model, we investigated thirteen different color space models using two different skin color samples on two databases. In this paper, we present an analytical and experimental investigation on transmission of terrestrial digital TV broadcasting signals over free-space optical (FSO) link. We introduce an analytical model for transmission of the Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) based signals over RoFSO link and a closed-form symbol error probability expression taking into account the laser diode nonlinear distortion as well as the weak to strong atmospheric turbulence effect of the FSO channel. We then present an experimental evaluation of transmitting terrestrial digital broadcasting signals over 1-km FSO link. In this paper, we have proposed the use of quad PTZ cameras to track the face and eye; further, we use image compensation with the frequency image processing method, which can compute the central position of the eye and face detection improvements under low illumination levels. In all the tasks, the frequency image processing method was able to separate the pupil and the white of the eye, and further, feature detection under various light environments was also improved. The user’s gaze points are calculated on the basis of the position of the eyes and face and calibrated by cognitive calibration methods. Our system provides better usability for the user who can now operate the system without any restrictions. Through the statistic analysis of all zero block for more than 30 typical sequences, We set cubic modules for threshold decision of QCIF, CIF and 720p which can almost reach 100% accuracy and averagely save 5%~40% (according to different sequences and QP values) of the 8x8 DCT and quantization calculation.
