In the iteration of solving procedure of PJPWSPC algorithm, computation of each reach can be performed in slave process, and water level prediction and correction of joint point is executed in the master process with the MPI API employed in the communication between master process and slave process. This parallel framework for river network hydrodynamic simulation can be harnessed in the loop network as well as the tributary network. The relation between speed-up ratio and average segment count of river network calculated in single process is Preliminary analyzed and the grouping method of branches for task scheduling is constructed by analyzing the computing process of each reach and communication between master process and slave process. Two hydrodynamic scheme simulation of natural river network is carried out. The estimation method can be employed in the grouping of branched in the hydrodynamic simulation of river network and the multiobjective computing resources allocation in the massive river network hydrodynamic simulation in the cloud computing based framework (HydroMP).","PeriodicalId":152234,"journal":{"name":"2013 Fourth International Conference on Networking and Distributed Computing","volume":"84 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-12-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130337572","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In addition, the proposed system transmits the feature information and related video data of events instead of the complete video data, which greatly reduces the usage rate of network bandwidth on video streaming. A demo system with overall architecture and simplified components was implemented. The algorithms, which were used to detect, identify and track vehicles, employed in the demo system include video foreground subtraction, moving vehicle extraction, color features extraction, etc. The real-time constraint of embedded device used in the experiment renders most complex algorithms simplified. In average case, the system achieves about 17 frames per second in embedded smart camera.","PeriodicalId":152234,"journal":{"name":"2013 Fourth International Conference on Networking and Distributed Computing","volume":"91 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-12-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131952165","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In many years, presenting specifications by diagrams or tables is considered a significant help. In this paper, we focus on the tabular specification method for the multifunctional systems. We introduce a pragmatic tabular specification framework for interactive systems, i.e., formal specification method using tabular method on FOCUS framework. The proposed framework can not only supply a method to specify the systems in an effective way, but can also analyze the properties of the specified system, and eliminate ambiguity in the initial requirement documents.","PeriodicalId":152234,"journal":{"name":"2013 Fourth International Conference on Networking and Distributed Computing","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-12-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133531436","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is formed by a number of fixed info stations, hosting service providers, and some mobile devices, hosting service clients, organized in an ad hoc network facing frequent connectivity disruptions. This paper focuses on two novel protocols that form the basis of a service provisioning platform specifically designed for ICHN. It details a service discovery protocol and a service invocation protocol that implement in particular an opportunistic routing based on a time-aware heuristic. Performance evaluation shows that the specialization of TAO is able to guarantee good performance with limited overhead.","PeriodicalId":152234,"journal":{"name":"2013 Fourth International Conference on Networking and Distributed Computing","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-12-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132160721","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

SDN enables innovations of networking technologies for Internet and data centers today in order to ease the management of the highly dynamic and complex infrastructure, to support the fine-grained traffic engineering, and to better address the mobility of virtual machines, services, and end-points. However, SDN itself opens many unanswered questions regarding reliability, performance, and security. Controller placement is a critical problem in SDN that may affect many aspects of SDN. This work introduces the use of interdependence network analysis to study the controller placement for network resilience, designs a new resilience metric, and proposes a solution to improve resilience.","PeriodicalId":152234,"journal":{"name":"2013 Fourth International Conference on Networking and Distributed Computing","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-12-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124372694","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we propose a statistic based collaborative filtering algorithm (SOFA). The contributions are three-fold: 1) a threshold is used to filter those inaccurate similarities between users who have less intersection, 2) users' statistics, such as mean, and variance, are used for similarity measurements, 3) two similarities are aggregated for more accurate prediction. The experiments are conducted on MovieLens data set, and the results show that the proposed method performs better than traditional ones in several popular metrics, i.e. MAE, Coverage, Precision, Recall, and F-measure etc.","PeriodicalId":152234,"journal":{"name":"2013 Fourth International Conference on Networking and Distributed Computing","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-12-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121547701","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The problem of energy hole which caused by uneven clustering multi-hop routing is eased via adopting optimized cluster radii, and the idea of fixed partition is introduced to ensure the stable distribution and constant number of cluster-heads. In addition, residual energy and geographic locations of sensor nodes are fully taken into account in choosing cluster-heads. Furthermore, the framework of node chain consists of the innermost cluster-heads is proposed to alleviate the energy load of cluster-heads near sink node. The experiments show that MRAUC have outstanding performance in terms of network lifetime, the balance of node load and network energy consumption.","PeriodicalId":152234,"journal":{"name":"2013 Fourth International Conference on Networking and Distributed Computing","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-12-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126041548","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

They are also treated as key tools for mobile users both for leisure and business applications. Recommendation techniques can increase the usability of mobile systems by providing more personalized and interested content. In this paper, a novel personalized recommender system is proposed, focusing on Mobile Terminal (MT) similarities, such as brands, versions and types of Operating Systems. These similarities play a key role in filtering original recommendation data sets at the preprocessing stage. A novel approach of video stabilization was proposed based on multi-scale colored local invariant features. The proposed approach transformed the image from RGB color model to color invariant model, and built up multi-scale color invariant space based on Gaussian pyramids, then extracted FAST feature points in the multiscale space and matched the feature points by building Fast Retina Key-point (FREAK) descriptors, finally estimated interframe motions in the video by M-estimator Sample Consensus (MSAC) algorithm, and processed image compensation and smoothing.
