In MANET, nodes have to announce their presence periodically and listen for their neighbors announcements broadcast to discover and learn how to reach each other. A new node is not familiar with its network topology at the beginning. Mobility and scalability are the main challenges in MANETs, with mobility implying a non predictable topology and stale routes, while scalability means more traffic and overhead control packets. Hence, efficient routing algorithms are needed to make the communication between the mobile nodes possible, easy and reliable over multi-hop paths, consisting of several links, dynamic and non predictable topology in a way that saves the network resources as much as necessary. We have previously developed and presented a multipath zones routing protocol (MDVZRP). It is based on a technique that provides multiple alternative paths between each source and destination in a network; the benefit of this bandwidth, and security improvements. In this paper, the MDVZRP algorithm is changed from zones based technique to threshold technique. This channel estimation is used to handle rapid variations of channel within a transmission block. With the estimate of the channel matrix for the Alamouti symbol interval, a zero-forcing (ZF) receiver can be applied to detect this symbol. Linear and Minimum Mean Square Error (MMSE) decoding algorithms are also introduced in this paper. These receivers take into consideration the variation of channel over two consecutive OFDM symbols, i.e., over Alamouti symbol. The performance of this estimator is compared with Least Square (LS) channel estimator via simulation. Data generated by sensors is very often correlated. Data/decision fusion has been proposed to avoid redundant data occupying network bandwidth and consuming energy. In military setting, this suppression is required also to defeat cryptanalysis efforts by adversaries. However, in most existing routing algorithms, fusion is incidental. We argue that a coupling between the two can result in early fusion thereby suppression of redundant transmission and better energy conservation. This study proposes a CDMA-based cross-layer design framework that enables early fusion in an energy-efficient, deterministic and scalable manner with upper bound on delivery time. Due to the nature of realtime and high mobility in VANET message, the traditional PKI security schemes are not suitable for VANET. Aiding of roadside unit (RSU) make message authentication in VANET easily, but it is still embedded some problems: how to authenticate the message transmitted from different RSU range, and to process the vehicle’s message hand-off among different RSU communication range. This paper proposes a comprehensive message authentication scheme which enables the message authentication in intra and inter RSU range, and the hand-off within the different RSUs. The proposed scheme makes the balance in the overhead of computation and communication, and the security against the attacking. In the intermittent receiver-driven data transmission (IRDT) protocol, which aims to save energy and get high reliability, communication between nodes commences when multiple receiver nodes transmit their own IDs intermittently and a sender node receives them. In this paper, we focused on the analogy between this periodic ID-transmission and a periodic message in the soft-state management. Soft state is often considered to have robustness against failures, therefore, we introduce it to IRDT for constructing a robust network. We propose a soft-state management of routing tables in IRDT, where each node uses the periodic ID-transmission not only for communication but also for update of a routing table. By computer simulation, we show that IRDT can achieve a 43.5% improvement in robustness against a sink node failure. The synchronizer of mixed loop is based on a tuned filter followed of a PLL (Phase Lock Loop). We consider four PLL types, namely, the analog (ana), hybrid (hib), combinational (cmb), and sequential (seq).
