Through reviewing various hazards’ assessment factors, a classification system and methodology for evaluating risk scores in IRVS, applicable factors, limitation of systems to apply to a Korean future system and improvement to verify the assessment methodology are determined. There are several standards for colors and lights to be used in the interiors of buildings, but not so many principles can be found for the exteriors and facades of buildings. Moreover, in the lighting of buildings, mostly matters such as functionality, aesthetics, and security issues have been taken into account while issues such as optimum energy use and visual perception have been neglected. In the present study, the above mentioned matters as well as the sense of relief induced by the lighting and its colors have been investigated; the latter point brings about reduced energy use in different seasons. The respondents in this study did not regard the temperature of the colors and answered the questionnaire according to the feelings they got from the colors. The results show that individuals get a feeling of warmth from colors such as white, red, orange, and yellow; this finding can be used to change the lighting of buildings to warm colors throughout cold seasons. Furthermore, the respondents reported a feeling of cold from colors like cold white, blue, and purple; accordingly, this finding can be used in warm seasons, especially in areas with hot and dry weather. The application of cold colors in such areas can reduce the amount of used energy. In addition, in order to apply a lighting project and use the facilities of artificial lighting, one must acquire the required knowledge of its technicalities and facilities; then, these facilities are to be evaluated through technical factors so that a proper optimized pattern for providing aesthetics as well as visual relief along with reduced energy use can be proposed.","PeriodicalId":15092,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Architectural Engineering Technology","volume":"14 1","pages":"1-6"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-01-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87650203","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper deals exclusively about drawing adequate daylight to internal spaces from available day light outside. It is analysed and found that the appropriate proportions of sizes, proper location to achieve uniform spread of daylight and penetration levels. The spread of day light intensity related contours have been analysed on horizontal working plane at 0.75 m from the finished floor level in a room size of 6.0 m*4.0 m through a building code method and simulation and it was found that the size and location of windows are appropriate enough to illuminate the daylight with proper spread and distribution in Vijayawada region of Andhra Pradesh in India. It was also assessed that window of the same size can be split in to two windows and placing at side by side walls/vertical planes was more effective in spread/distribution of day light on working plane. The day lighting considerations in this region are essential for saving the energy and sustainability.","PeriodicalId":15092,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Architectural Engineering Technology","volume":"182 1","pages":"1-7"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"77527588","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
