We proposed A Secured Alternative path Routing Protocol against Dos Attack (SARP) method which prevents and detects the DoS attack in sensor network. The source node collects the data while sending the data to the sink the SARP uses alternative path to send the data these data need to secured in the transmitting region. Thus the sending node will calculate the trust value using the neighbor nodes report and the observed value. The neighbor report is collected from 2-Hop distance sensor node. The neighbor report is secured by using a secured session key.","PeriodicalId":149158,"journal":{"name":"2014 Eleventh International Conference on Wireless and Optical Communications Networks (WOCN)","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124780387","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Bringing a new communication technology in marine is difficult because it should consider maritime regulations and should be interoperable with the existing systems. Even though GPS assisted navigation aids have attempted to bridge this gap, they are restricted to large marine vessels and support high data rate transmission which is not required for alert messaging. There is an imperative need for a low data rate digital communication network for fishing vessels. This work analyzes various PHY layer characteristics for optimizing the performance of VHF maritime networks. This involves the selection and study of a suitable transceiver IC and analysis of modulation schemes supported by the IC using NI PXIe. Modulation blocks are implemented in Lab VIEW and the frequency spectrums are analyzed by varying the frequency range, resolution, and data rate according to our requirements. An on demand hopping algorithm is also devised and the effect of digital transmission over analog channels is also analyzed using NI-PXIe.","PeriodicalId":149158,"journal":{"name":"2014 Eleventh International Conference on Wireless and Optical Communications Networks (WOCN)","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128510363","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An AFPT developed by Improved Efficient Charge Recovery Logic (IECRL), which gives logic function to the next succeeding stage. In the AFPT circuit, IECRL gates attains power from hand shake controller and become active only when executing required calculations. In active mode the leakage currents are reduced by providing high resistance path through the NMOS transistor in pull-up network. In inactive mode IECRL gates are not taken any amount of power, this gives insignificant leakage power dissipation. Its maximum power saving against ECRL is up to 89.35%. In AFPT circuit handshake controller used to provide power to the IECRL gate and which handles the hand shaking with the neighboring stages. In the AFPT circuit PCR mechanism is used to transfer the charge of discharging phase of IECRL gate to evaluate phase of the another IECRL gate, to reduce the energy dissipation. Early discharging of IECRL gate can be achieved by using modified C-element called C*-element.","PeriodicalId":149158,"journal":{"name":"2014 Eleventh International Conference on Wireless and Optical Communications Networks (WOCN)","volume":"175 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116007419","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to overcome these issues, in this paper, we propose QoS based directionality routing in FSO MANETs. When the source wants to transmit the data packet to destination, directional routing technique is utilized for routes establishment. The routes are selected based on the QoS cost metric that includes the parameters such as delay and bandwidth. Thus, the routes with maximum bandwidth and minimum delay are chosen as best path for transmitting the data. The main advantage of this technique is that it minimizes the flooding caused during route discovery. By simulation results, we show that the proposed technique increases throughput, packet delivery ratio and decreases the delay and overhead.","PeriodicalId":149158,"journal":{"name":"2014 Eleventh International Conference on Wireless and Optical Communications Networks (WOCN)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128954173","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper presents the simulation analysis of small planar antennas using different antenna miniaturization techniques. They have brought to define miniaturization methods by which we can estimate the use of micro strip antennas. Various govt. and private sector organizations made use of these techniques to solve the problem of antenna fabrication in mobiles, satellites, missiles, radar navigational aids and military applications. These techniques are used to reduce the physical size but to increase the bandwidth and efficiency of antenna. Some approaches for antenna miniaturization are introduction of slots, slits, short meandering and novel geometries like fractals or by using higher dielectrics constant. The effect of miniaturization in various antenna parameters like, radiation efficiency, gain and bandwidth are discussed. Finally the paper reports a brief description of miniaturization of antenna by using suitable and efficient methods that includes use of double layered substrate structure in microstrip patch antenna.","PeriodicalId":149158,"journal":{"name":"2014 Eleventh International Conference on Wireless and Optical Communications Networks (WOCN)","volume":"51 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128301826","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To obtain the spatial diversity between the symbols, STBC block codes were used. Space time block coding (STBC) is the most efficient method due to its provision of full spatial diversity and simple linear decoder. The combination of space-time block coding (STBC) and Direct-Sequence CodeDivision Multiple Access (CDMA) has the potential to increase the performance of multiple users in a cellular network. The BER performance of MIMO-CDMA system depends on its spreading strategy. In this paper MIMO-CDMA in calibration with OFDM system is designed with STBC matrices for spreading. The proposed technique outperforms the T-design permutation spreading method and also the conventional method. Simulation results show the gain improvement with STBC approach as compared to other existing techniques.","PeriodicalId":149158,"journal":{"name":"2014 Eleventh International Conference on Wireless and Optical Communications Networks (WOCN)","volume":"91 2-3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116705343","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is essential to reduce the energy consumption of sensor nodes. To achieve this, it is desirable to have a model of performance of the 802.11 protocol to study the impact of various parameters on the throughput and energy consumption. Existing research has many models for 802.11. These models show the performance measurement of an 802.11 as a function of number of competing stations sharing access point, effect of size of the packet on throughput, infrastructure and adhoc mode, speed of the vehicle(for VANET), effect of environment, etc. In our work we perform experiments with devices to emulate a WSN, using 802.11 enabled laptops, and model the performance of 802.11. We vary MTU and distance to determine the impact on throughput, in presence or absence of a simple wooden barrier. We determine a simple generic model for throughput dependent on the distance and MTU. This model will help to determine an optimal MTU for varying conditions, to achieve maximum throughput. If the throughput is high, the energy savings are expected to be higher. This model could be applied to wireless sensor networks. Our results show that simple linear equations fit the throughput data. These are single variable models for MTU and throughput, for different distances. We have also developed a two variable model for throughput as a function of MTU and distance.","PeriodicalId":149158,"journal":{"name":"2014 Eleventh International Conference on Wireless and Optical Communications Networks (WOCN)","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117123449","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
