The digital environment is spreading out around the whole society. Well settled and comfortable life of all of us is possible only if we will be digitally literate to survive in this digital era. Most of the job opportunities are only for those who are digitally literate. In the modern system of education teacher must have digital skills. A teacher who is digitally literate can survive in the digital era. Technology will not replace the teachers, but teachers who use technology will replace those who do not. So to keep the issue in the mind researcher made an attempt to through light on digital literacy as a life skill in the present era of growing and global educational society. Some of the important issues that a teacher should learn and use the digital devices and create a digital environment in the classroom as well as in the school also are discussed here. Students definitely will be benefitted if teachers use digital devices and ICTs at their best. It is the time to enhance those skills which are the foundation for the present global and growing educational society. Una, Himachal Pradesh with respect to dimensions of professional commitment and demographical variables such as Gender, locale, type of school, teaching experience, age, teaching subject and level of teaching. Teachers are possessing average and above average commitment. The results indicate that Gender-wise differences, locale and type of schools produce no difference in commitment among teachers. Among the five dimensions of teachers‟ professional commitment, “commitment to the learner‟ is high and least level is “Commitment to Basic Human Values”. Demographic variables like teaching subject and level of teaching are found to be significant While other demographical variables like qualification, age group and teaching experience of teachers are not found significant. Among teaching subjects the mathematics and social sciences teachers, mathematics and languages teachers, social sciences and other subject‟s teachers differing significantly on their overall professional commitment. That is the reason why this novel is a ground breaking novel in India. This novel is written totally from the outlook of a servant. In order to explain the current Indian conditions in which poor people attempt to meet both ends, the narrator uses the word „the darkness‟. In the novel, the narrator expressed the lives of poor people of India in a realistic and understanding manner. Adiga‟s The White Tiger is the best fictional writing which actually went outside the organized onset of the natives and endeavored to exemplify the diverse and most violent impact of the majestic rule in modern India. In this paper, it is attempted to analyse the view of Adiga‟s point about the present scenario of the poor people of India.
