The performance of an eight channels WDM system is tested in presence of Four Wave Mixing (FWM) to examine the Bit Error Ratio (BER) and Optical Signal to Noise Ratio (OSNR) for different chromatic dispersion values. Based on Optical Quadrature Phase Shift Keying (OQPSK) modulation, we proposed a WDM system to benefit from the multicarrier modulation properties. Through MATLAB and Optisystem software simulations we have shown, in one hand, the improvement of BER and OSNR when the chromatic dispersion coefficient is relatively high. In the other hand, we have outlined the effectiveness of the proposed system in terms of increasing the OSNR and decreasing the BER","PeriodicalId":147797,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Wireless Technologies, Embedded and Intelligent Systems (WITS)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132827845","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Despite the huge explosion and the availability of geospatial data, the entities that produce them have faced increasing difficulties at the level of harmonization of this information, and especially when it is dealing with structural heterogeneity (schematic). Indeed, structural heterogeneity means that different information systems or rather providers store their data in different structures in their databases. Such variations in the scheme or models of database may limit the interoperability of spatial data. To deal with the problem of schematic heterogeneity, this paper proposes the creation of a Moroccan Model, which is used to map private or native schema (Owner scheme) to MGeoSciML model (Public scheme). Indeed, the access to the information will be based on the international standards of Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC).","PeriodicalId":147797,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Wireless Technologies, Embedded and Intelligent Systems (WITS)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123028463","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the design of multilevel inverters, different topologies have been evolved. These topologies include diode clamped multilevel 1 inverter, flying capacitor multilevel inverter and cascaded H bridge multilevel inverter. The main limitations of the conventional topologies are large number of switches. This article treats the design and realization of a new five-level single-phase inverter structure controlled by a microcontroller-based digital strategy. The proposed topology needs less number of switches and carrier signals and THD of the proposed topology is less compared to conventional topologies. All circuits are modeled and simulated using Matlab-Simulink software and ISIS proteus.","PeriodicalId":147797,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Wireless Technologies, Embedded and Intelligent Systems (WITS)","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116055376","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The present paper studies the signal backscattered from the copper/polymer composite cylindrical shell submerged in a fluid medium using Fourier analysis and time-frequency method. The Fourier analysis is used to find the pulse response and the resonance frequencies of the composite cylindrical shell. From large ranges of time-frequency methods, the smoothed pseudo Wigner-Ville distribution (SPWV) is applied because of its most effective properties to study the surface waves generated by the acoustic scattering of a plane wave. The time-frequency image obtained by SPWV is used to estimate the cut-off dimensionless frequencies of the surface waves. In addition, the group delay property of the SPWV distribution is applied to study the dispersion phenomenon of the waves. At each frequency, the group delay may be estimated directly from the time-frequency plane of the wave investigated. The results achieved by time-frequency method show fair agreement with those achieved by the plane of modal identification.","PeriodicalId":147797,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Wireless Technologies, Embedded and Intelligent Systems (WITS)","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115499918","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this article, we propose to study Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) system, using an Automatic Selection Algorithm (ASA) to improve the efficiency of the PV system connected to a load via a DC-DC converter. The proposed ASA switch between two conventional MPPT: Incremental Conduction Algorithm (INC) [2] and Perturb and Observe (P&O) algorithm [3]). It selects automatically the algorithm which should work best according to the solar irradiance data.
