Chronic hypoxia conditions were created during different periods of the pregnancy. Three-month-old white rats that had completed the period of puberty were used in the experiments. Clinical analyses of the main indicators of the coagulation system were performed to assess the state of the hemostasis system. The effect of intrauterine hypoxia on the \"mother-fetus\" relationship was manifested by prolonged pathological changes in the blood coagulation and expressed changes in the liver parenchyma at the later stages of development.","PeriodicalId":147256,"journal":{"name":"Azerbaijan Journal of Physiology","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129157349","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A formal-constructive model \"generalized portrait\" is created according to the stratified description of psychological and psychophysiological indicators. Each indicator included in the strats is realized by means of the corresponding software. Each component of the \"generalized portrait\" is assigned to different scale types (ratio, interval, ordinal, nominative). The theory of fuzzy sets and relations is used to unify different types of scales. The decision and advice functional block of the expert-advisory system makes a decision about the functional reliability based on the fuzzy knowledge based on the current state of the human-operator.","PeriodicalId":147256,"journal":{"name":"Azerbaijan Journal of Physiology","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133118360","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These substances get into the water environment through the groundwater during the spraying of crops under agricultural cultivation. The toxicity of fertilizers influences growth, physiology, and a hemato-biochemical profile and causes serious changes in some tissues of aquatic organisms, including fish, which has also proved to be true in our research. From the mentioned effects, hematological parameters serve as important biomarkers of the pollution of water by fertilizers. Cause serious changes in the blood of fishes as they bioaccumulate in various tissues of fishes and, by doing so, cause serious changes in the blood tissue of fishes and also in their behavioral reactions (Cyprinus Carpio). In the research, the impact of the phosphoric fertilizers Ammophos and Kristalon in lethal concentrations of 97.2 mg/l and 265.2 mg/l on the behavioral reactions of Cyprinus Carpio and blood indicators was studied. It is necessary to notice that these fertilizers are widely used in the cultivation of agricultural crops, but these preparations were not investigated on fish, and it is written in their passport data. It is necessary to notice that these fertilizers influence the behavioral reactions of Cyprinus Carpio and indicators of the blood of fish.","PeriodicalId":147256,"journal":{"name":"Azerbaijan Journal of Physiology","volume":"312 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122113476","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This work is devoted to the study of the mechanism of realization of the EMR effect in the eye lens at the level of redox state elements, based on the fact that this organ is the most suitable model: it functions semi-autonomously and has a well-organized system of antioxidant protection. The transparency of the lens is maintained by preserving the redox balance, in which the homeostasis of thiol compounds of protein and non-protein nature plays an important role. Our experiments were performed on rats using 460 MHz EMR for exposure at non-thermal intensities (power flux density between 10 and 30 µW/cm2). It has been shown that chronic exposure to EMR for up to two weeks caused changes in the redox state of the lens, which manifested in changes in the level of lipid peroxidation processes and the content of thiols of various natures. The substructures of the lens (cortical and nuclear regions) reacted to EMR exposure in different ways. Depending on the EMR intensity, pro- and antioxidant characters were revealed in their reactions. The dynamics of the oxidative reaction of lens substructures were also different under high- and low-intensity exposure. The character of the kinetics of changes in the products of oxidative reactions (malondialdehyde and lipid hydroperoxides) and reducing agents (non-protein and protein SH groups) in the lens of the irradiated organism suggested the role of the enzymatic thiolation-dethiolation system to preserve the redox balance in the substructures of the lens. In addition, the results on changes (kinetics) in the content of various protein SH-groups, i.e., hidden inside the protein molecule and exposed on its surface, during EMR exposure, as well as the data available in the literature, allow us to put forward suggestions about the supramolecular mechanism of homeostasis regulation, in particular, thiol homeostasis regulation in such high-protein structures as the lens, which can be realized by aggregation-disaggregation of protein molecules (crystallins in the case of the lens). Our results can serve as a basis for developing a new non-invasive approach to cataract prevention using low-intensity microwave radiation.","PeriodicalId":147256,"journal":{"name":"Azerbaijan Journal of Physiology","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126072747","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study explores the oscillations of brain waves in eyes-open and eyes-closed conditions at rest. The EEG was recorded using a wireless EEG Headset System with dry non-contact EEG sensor electrodes designed by NeuroSky, a ThinkGear module, and a MindCap XL headband. The results of the study demonstrated statistically significant differences between eyes-open vs. eyes-closed conditions in the alpha band in the prefrontal cortex (p≤0.006). While the correlation between the alpha band and the state of anxiety in the prefrontal cortex demonstrated a statistically significant linear relationship with the negative slope in the eyes-closed condition (p≤0.029). The data derived from single-channel wireless system equipment demonstrated results that are close to those recorded by conventional lab-based equipment. The different nature of the interrelation between the EEG alpha band oscillations in the prefrontal cortex, depending on the position of the eyes and the level of anxiety of youth athletes, can reflect its relationship to the \"inner\" world of the individual and is a plausible neurobiological index of anxiety. These findings encourage the application of the portable EEG system for the research of brain functions. Even more, that device may be used for alpha neurofeedback for anxiety in closed-eye conditions.","PeriodicalId":147256,"journal":{"name":"Azerbaijan Journal of Physiology","volume":"253 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116228240","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

During the acquisition of avoidance, a passage in the partition was open, adjacent to the rear wall of the shuttle chamber. On the 5th experimental day after the end of the training, this distal opening was closed and the proximal one was opened, after which avoidance performance under changed conditions was tested for 20 trials. Melipramine and amitriptyline accelerated the acquisition of avoidance responses. Changing the location of the opening disrupted the learned skill, especially in the control animals. Melipramine and fluoxetine statistically significantly (in contrast to amitriptyline) accelerated the recovery of the level of avoidance. The positive effect of melipramine and fluoxetine is explained by a psychostimulating component in their spectrum. The inability of amitriptyline to produce a significant effect in this model is due to its psychosedative properties. The data obtained allow us to conclude that the acquisition of the active conditioned avoidance responses and their spatial modification can be used to analyze the antidepressant activity of pharmacological agents.","PeriodicalId":147256,"journal":{"name":"Azerbaijan Journal of Physiology","volume":"58 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129766170","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Анализировались десятисекундные лишенные артефактов отрезки электроэнцефалограмм, правой и левой гемисфер с закрытыми глазами в расслабленном состоянии и при психическом напряжении – счет в уме. Предъявляя женщинам решение арифметической задачи, мы создавали психическое напряжение. Таким образом прослеживаемая при психическом напряжении как в геомагнитно спокойные, так и периоды геомагнитных бурь перестройка показателей ЭЭГ, на смещение находящихся в балансе в покое синхронизирующих и десинхронизирующих механизмов неспецифических систем мозга в направлении активационных механизмов. В спокойные дни процессы активации высокочастотного бета ритма характеризуются локальностью, затрагивая лобные и височные отведения, в периоды с гелиогеомагнитными флуктуациями активация диффузная, затрагивающая бета-1 и бета-2 диапазоны. Диффузное уменьшение индекса и урежение частоты тета-ритма в периоды геомагнитных бурь в отличии от повышения индекса тета-ритма в дни без бурь свидетельствуют о меньшей успешности решения задачи. Ключевые слова: электроэнцефалография, частотно-амплитудный анализ, индексный анализ, психическое напряжение, женский пол, спокойные дни, слабые магнитные бури.\u0000 In the present work personalized and total group analysis of the bioelectric activity of the brain (EEG) of 50-60-year-old women on geomagnetically quiet days and periods of heliogeomagnetic fluctuations. 10-second EEG segments of the right and left hemispheres with closed eyes in a relaxed state, and with mental stress created by counting in the mind were analyzed. Mental stress was created by presenting to women an arithmetic problem to solve in the mind. Thus, the rearrangement of EEG indicators, traced under mental stress both in geomagnetically calm and periods of geomagnetic storms, indicates a shift in the synchronizing and desynchronizing mechanisms of nonspecific brain systems that are in balance at rest in the direction of activation mechanisms. On calm days, the processes of activation of the high-frequency beta rhythm are characterized by locality, affecting the frontal and temporal leads; during periods with heliogeomagnetic fluctuations, the activation is diffuse, affecting the beta-1 and beta-2 ranges. Diffuse reduction of the index and a slowing in the frequency of the theta rhythm during periods of geomagnetic storms, in contrast to the increase of the theta rhythm index on days without storms, indicate less extent of successful solution of the task.","PeriodicalId":147256,"journal":{"name":"Azerbaijan Journal of Physiology","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128013408","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It was shown that in experimental atherosclerosis, after exposure to nickel nitrate, lipid metabolism and oxidative stress disorders were aggravated. A proportional relationship was found between the severity of disorders and the duration of intoxication with nickel nitrate, with a maximum of disorders on the 60th day after exposure. In the experimental group, after chronic intoxication with nickel nitrate, a complex plant antioxidant implementation led to a significant improvement in lipid metabolism and oxidative stress. The revealed corrective effect of the plant antitoxicant indicates its detoxifying effect and the possibility of its clinical approbation both for the prevention and treatment of chronic nickel nitrate poisoning in patients with existing atherosclerotic vascular lesions.","PeriodicalId":147256,"journal":{"name":"Azerbaijan Journal of Physiology","volume":"258 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114530722","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
