The production of cast emulsion-mineral mixtures «Slarri Sil» using sand sifting from crushing local gravel materials was carried out on regional category III highways (according to traffic intensity) of the Amur Federal Highway passing through the Amur Region.\u0000\u0000In accordance with the requirements for mineral materials for the production of cast emulsion-mineral mixtures «Slarri Sil», it was ruled to use the sandy fraction of the stone crushing sifting products of igneous rocks in accordance with National State Standard 8736 with the following properties quality indicators: strength grade greater than or equal to 1200, abrasion grade greater than or equal to I-1, frost resistance grade greater than or equal to F50. Due to the limited number of deposits with siftings for crushing dense rocks and the length of regional highways in the Amur Region, deposits use for the production of cast emulsion-mineral mixtures throughout the entire route make the construction of wear layers unprofitable.\u0000\u0000The research objective is the local sand and gravel mix of the Zeya and Bureya rivers for the production of Slurry Seal type cast emulsion-mineral mixtures. The results of determining the adhesion of the binder with the mineral part of cast emulsion-mineral mixtures «Slarri Sil» on various sands of crushing siftings are presented. The initial data for the analysis were obtained through numerical analysis using mathematical models and the finite element method in the Midas GTS NX program.\u0000\u0000Within the framework of the study, the design parameters of the metropolitan railway station that had the greatest impact on the stress-strain state of the station structure and the surrounding soil mass were identified. Ovchinnikov
The issue of training bridge engineers in universities in the Russian Federation is being addressed. It has been noted that there has been a decline in the education of bridge building in Russian universities, particularly in the northwestern, southern, and Trans-Baikal regions bordering the Pacific Ocean. Attention is drawn to the fact that the proposed draft concept for road education development until 2035 has not yet been approved by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, which leads to questions about how universities with different affiliations will interact and a lack of supporting legal documents. The draft also lacks information about undergraduate and graduate programs. The quality of the staff in the graduation departments of universities is also low, with the salaries of teaching staff nearly two times lower than the median salary of road workers. Acquiring the titles of associate professor and professor requires a significant amount of time and effort. The number of teaching staff is determined based on the number of students, not the workload, which leads to universities retaining weaker students. Graduate school scholarships are also very low, and most graduate students work, which results in delays in defending dissertations and an unwillingness to stay in the department. The high workload and lack of incentives also discourage writing books and manuals, especially given the current advancements in bridge building. For regional universities to be effectively operated and developed, three conditions must be met: availability of funding, competent leadership, and talented personnel, which are currently lacking. This is why scientific research is not being conducted in universities, especially since Rosavtodor cannot fund fundamental or exploratory research. The article concludes by discussing the experience of training highly qualified specialists at Tyumen Industrial University in collaboration with Mostostroy-11 Joint-Stock Company. The organization of the educational process and the approximate topics of final qualification works are described. All undergraduates conduct patent searches and use patents in developing their master’s theses. The results of their research are published in journals listed by the Higher Attestation Commission.

Methods for determining soil moisture conductivity are considered. The study’s purpose is stated, which consists in establishing the influence of variables on the change in the coefficient of clay soil moisture conductivity used for the construction of the earth roadbed in Western Siberia.\u0000\u0000The article considers the key issues of preparing and conducting the experimental part of the study. To set up the experiment, a full factorial experiment model of second-order rotatable planning was chosen. For the experiment, the soil was selected, the selection of which was made from the working layer of the Tobolsk — Tara — Tomsk highway earth roadbed at the Tara — Sedelnikovo section in the Omsk region.\u0000\u0000The authors conducted obtained research results processing by mathematical statistics methods. It has been established that the moisture conductivity values and the moisture flow intensity are slightly affected by the variable «initial humidity», the variables «mass of water, soil density, water level, total moisture capacity, moistening time» have the greatest influence.\u0000\u0000The factor analysis of the obtained results showed that the test procedure for determining the coefficient of moisture conductivity according to Sectoral Highway Regulations 218.046-01 in the PKFG-F device evaluates the moisture transfer in the soil of capillary moisture with the effect of water column pressure. The studies carried out in the work indicate a noticeable influence of the variable «mass of water» and a slight influence of the variable «initial moisture», which may indicate that the film mechanism of moisture migration is not taken into account when testing the soil under study in the PKVG-Futurum device.\u0000\u0000The article was written based on the author’s dissertation research on the topic “Justification of the regional calculated values of the clay soils characteristics for the pavement design in Western Siberia” (Siberian Transport University, Novosibirsk, 2017) in terms of using the experiment results to determine the moisture conductivity coefficient.

The results of cyclic loading parameters calculations of coatings under the influence of aircraft with multi-wheeled bearings (load cycle asymmetry coefficient, values of the maximum and minimum stresses of the loading cycle), performed using the SCAD software-computer complex, which implements the finite element method in the form of the displacement method, are presented. The necessity of carrying out tests to determine the endurance strength of reinforced concrete under various loading conditions for more complete consideration in determining the operating modes of airfield pavements is shown, and the loading parameters of reinforced concrete specimens during their endurance tests are determined. A general view and a layout diagram of an experimental setup for determining the static and endurance strength of large-sized cement concrete samples are presented. A technique for determining the static strength of reinforced concrete samples is presented, including the determination of the criterion for their destruction (appearance of fluidity in the reinforcement of the sample), the applied strain-measuring, ultrasonic and acoustic methods for determining the stresses magnitude and strains in cement concrete and structural reinforcement, the dynamics of changes in the measured parameters on one of the samples is shown. The results of the reinforced concrete samples fatigue tests with dimensions of 1500x400x200 mm under various loading conditions are presented, with reference to which regression equations were obtained to determine the number of loading cycles to failure, and endurance coefficients were obtained based on 106 loading cycles.
