The test object was an industrial estate in the Stryków municipality. The photo block (581 photos, GSD was 4.6 cm) registration was performed using Trimble®UX5 UAS equipped with Sony NEX-5T 16 MP digital system camera. The automatic aerial triangulation with self-calibration using the bundle block adjustment was performed and dense point clouds, digital surface model (DSM) and finally an orthomosaic were generated in Agisoft Photoscan and in Pix4Dmapper Pro software. The results of photogrammetric 3D data collection with an existing base map, which was elaborated using direct geodetic detailed surveys, were compared in AutoCAD Civil 3D 2017 suite. The generated DSM's were additionally analyzed using CloudCompare application. The obtained accuracy of photogrammetric 2D vectorization fulfils the accuracy requirements of the 1 st survey group of terrain details, specified in Polish geodetic technical norm.","PeriodicalId":145350,"journal":{"name":"2018 Baltic Geodetic Congress (BGC Geomatics)","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-06-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121088817","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of the analyzed factors was the attendance of parcels' owners during the development of boundary recognition agreements. Research has shown that in this aspect the method of direct measurement in the field is more effective. At the same time, the advantage of the photogrammetric method should be emphasized in terms of shorter time needed to carry out the task of delimitation of the boundaries of registered parcels. The most important is the proper preparation of the contractor for modernizing the cadastre for the operation of delimitation of the boundaries of registered parcels, through data analysis and their preliminary elaboration, as demonstrated in this article.","PeriodicalId":145350,"journal":{"name":"2018 Baltic Geodetic Congress (BGC Geomatics)","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117133447","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Throughout the ages man driven by curiosity and imagination learned how to harvest and use many of nature's perfect solutions. Constructions of modern times not only astonish us by their form and functionality, but also nowadays buildings and constructions promote harmony between human habitation and the natural world. The reason for such actions is both searching for new solutions, as well as the improvement of novelty in engineering design. The search for efficient structural forms covered in the article is an attempt to discuss the optimization of structures in the field of bionic morphology and geometry - the objective function is the mass distribution and volume of construction material. The work also includes three simplified numerical analysis's of static models and their design possibilities of applying natures solutions.","PeriodicalId":145350,"journal":{"name":"2018 Baltic Geodetic Congress (BGC Geomatics)","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115174973","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Classical regression models do not always fulfil their role due to a hierarchical structure of market data. The paper proposes the application of mixed-effect models, including two levels of an analysis, with the function of the property in the local zoning plan as the grouping variable. The study was carried out in Olsztyn, a city located in the north-eastern part of Poland. Physical, legal and location features were used as explanatory variables. A model containing fixed and random effects made it possible to develop a theoretical distribution of the city land value depending on the function fulfilled by the property. This provided a basis to compile a land value map, which reflects both the distribution of prices and the spatial factors affecting them.","PeriodicalId":145350,"journal":{"name":"2018 Baltic Geodetic Congress (BGC Geomatics)","volume":"49 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128356275","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This process leads to the division of space due to the forms of its coverage and associated human activities. Very often changes in land cover are related to the intensification of the processes of anthropisation of the natural environment. The main purpose of this article is to present tools for measuring the direction of changes in land cover, taking into account the impact of these changes on the quality of the natural environment. The author identifies the coverage of the area with the type of human activity and the natural value of this area. Based on this assumption, by using the CORIN Land Cover data, the article presents an assessment of the directions and intensity of environmental changes in the area of the province of Warmia and Mazury.","PeriodicalId":145350,"journal":{"name":"2018 Baltic Geodetic Congress (BGC Geomatics)","volume":"52 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130321359","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is demonstrated how the knowledge about the elements of construction and operation phases and their relationships, combined with monitoring data can be used for more effective management of the risks associated with civil engineering projects. The methodology chosen for estimating the probabilities of risk events is known as Bayesian Belief Networks (BBNs). To better illustrate how the proposed approach works the authors use the example of multi-family residential building located in Gda?sk made in the wood-frame technology.","PeriodicalId":145350,"journal":{"name":"2018 Baltic Geodetic Congress (BGC Geomatics)","volume":"150 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123220470","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The scope of scanners use is now beyond land surveying. Data delivered by this kind of devices are used successfully in documenting antiques and creating virtual reality. The main goal of this project was to create 3D model and realistic visualization of FSO Syrena 101 car basing on data acquired by terrestrial laser scanning. Point cloud used in the project was registered by Leica P40 scanner in Museum of Municipal Engineering in Krakow. The measurement was made on the basis of 5 instrument positions and 5 spheres evenly spaced around the car. These spheres have a high albedo coefficient, which allows to identify them very easily in the point cloud, with the horizontal and vertical resolution of 2 mm for a distance of 2 m. Maximum merging error of point clouds was 0.002 m.","PeriodicalId":145350,"journal":{"name":"2018 Baltic Geodetic Congress (BGC Geomatics)","volume":"58 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125718220","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Ten historical maps containing the coastline of the southern part of the Baltic Sea from years 1593-1943, were used for the analysis. These were both general geographical maps, as well as marine or hydrological maps. The coastline of the Polish coast has been precisely digitized, and then the results were compared to the previously defined reference model. The reference model (model coastline) is a credibly depicted coastline of Poland, created with the use of precise measurement techniques. Digital conversion of historical maps allowed for a thorough examination of the similarities, and a chronological comparison presents the development of the art of cartography over five centuries.","PeriodicalId":145350,"journal":{"name":"2018 Baltic Geodetic Congress (BGC Geomatics)","volume":"507 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132284212","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
