Many companies have implemented lean concepts and got the benefits such as reduced cycle time, reduced operational costs, improved product quality, and other benefits. Although it provides many benefits, there are some weaknesses in implementing lean, one of which is due to the lack of monitoring. After the initial implementation, the process has never been reviewed and is rarely checked to ensure its implementation. Monitoring lean implementation requires tools that can help monitor work more efficiently. There are no specific tools that can be used to control and oversee lean implementation in the company. For this reason, this research will develop a tool for monitoring lean implementation. The tools to be developed adopting the logic of several methods, namely Quality Function Deployment (QFD), the framework of three matrix houses in lean implementation, and the House of Risk (HOR). This Lean monitoring tool is used to ensure that the corrective actions recommended for lean implementation are implemented. The Lean monitoring tool consists of three matrices that offer the ability to identify potential failures, the root causes of failures, and solutions to deal with lean implementation failuress.","PeriodicalId":14533,"journal":{"name":"IPTEK Journal of Proceedings Series","volume":"7 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"79477738","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The city of Surabaya as the capital of East Java with high public space development needs, often the development of public space is more concentrated in the city center. The Public Space of Menanggal Tourism Road located on the border of Surabaya City and Sidoarjo Regency is experiencing a phenomenon that causes a decrease in the image of the region and abuse of the function of public facilities. Behavior of users of public space at the time of the phenomenon is the key to the occurrence of the problem. Therefore an appropriate theoretical approach is needed to understand the phenomenon as a whole. Behavior setting is an approach that connects activity patterns and behavior patterns in a physical environment that is used to understand the phenomenon. This research uses naturalistic paradigms and qualitative strategies with data collection techniques using observation and in-depth interviews. To identify the aspects that most influence on the formation and continuity of the phenomenon of the Tourism Road Region to date these data, data analysis using the Miles and Huberman model is used. The results showed that the affective meaning and activity system were the most influential aspects in the continuity of the phenomenon. These aspects can be used as a basis for developing concepts to overcome the problems that arise during the phenomenon.","PeriodicalId":14533,"journal":{"name":"IPTEK Journal of Proceedings Series","volume":"36 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81308810","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Solution to the ETP problem involves computational search methods to get results. In the process, if done manually it will require lot of time to achieve the optimal solution. ETP is basically allocating a schedule into room at particular time. Several previous researchers developed a hyper-heuristic method to obtain solutions that are expected to provide result that are close to optimal. In this study, ITC 2007 dataset will be used to find generic solutions that are near optimal. Simple Random (SR) was chosen as strategy to choose Low Level Heuristic (LLH) and Step Counting Hill Climbing (SCHC) was chosen as move-acceptance strategy for ETP. The results obtained show that one pair of algorithms proposed in this study is better than the literature while other algorithms also provide significant results.","PeriodicalId":14533,"journal":{"name":"IPTEK Journal of Proceedings Series","volume":"2 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76311578","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In general, contemporary architecture accentuates the visual experience, among other sensory modalities. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research about the exploration of multisensory perception in architectural design. This study aims to explore how sensory activities or blind and visual impaired experience the spatial and the elements of architecture. This study is started by examining a brief literature review and then conducts qualitative research (in-depth interview and participant observation) to explore sensory experience and perception of blind people. The result finds from the five elements, walls and windows are the most influential elements for blind people. The existence of a wall has the potential to be a wayfinding of haptic system and has an echo effect. While the aperture opening element influences the illumination of light as well as indicators of outside space limits. The research outcome shows that people with visual impairment also acknowledge and they recognize these principles of design. They recognize contrast of temperature through the opening element, rhythm of texture through the wall, surface balance through the furniture, and hierarchy of noise through the window.","PeriodicalId":14533,"journal":{"name":"IPTEK Journal of Proceedings Series","volume":"3 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"75980609","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The increasing consumption of meat had led some traders to falsify the identity of meat for gaining profit. The meat adulteration case that often occurs is substituting the beef with pork. This adulteration case is very detrimental to consumers, therefore a method to identify the type of meat sold is very necessary. The vibration spectroscopy method, Fourier Transform Infra Red (FTIR), had been developed to analyze the type of beef and pork. The FTIR measurement was carried out with cut raw meat samples without further preparation. The Data obtained from the measurement are infra-red spectrum from beef and pork from 4000-500 cm -1 wavenumber and then the data was analyzed with Principle Component Analysis (PCA) statiscticall method. Projection result with PCA obtained data reduction that can represent all data generated from measurements shown through the Principle Component 1 and Principle Component 2 regions. Based on those projection, beef and pork profile area can be classified properly.","PeriodicalId":14533,"journal":{"name":"IPTEK Journal of Proceedings Series","volume":"25 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"88018111","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Differences in the characteristics and scope of each business unit makes the company encouraged to be more observant in seeing the position rate of development of each business unit. A strategy is needed to ensure the treatment of each of these business units in order to achieve company goals. Identification, clustering and analysis of influencing factors affecting the company business performance are carried out through the stages of collecting secondary and primary data to obtain a follow-up plan for each business unit of the company. We use the real case in one of Indonesian Inspection Company. The method used in this paper is the analysis of strategy formulation in determining business strategies by three stages. First stage IFE (Internal Factors Evaluation) matrix and EFE (External Factor Evaluation) matrix are prepared then follow by IE (Internal External Matrix). Second stage, by assesment the following matrixes, we matched up with SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, and Threat) matrix. Finally the final stage is taken by using QSPM (Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix) to determine reliable strategy for inspection company in the upstream oil and gas business activities.","PeriodicalId":14533,"journal":{"name":"IPTEK Journal of Proceedings Series","volume":"27 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86007209","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
