Insects belong to a group of animals called \"Arthropods.\" Many people ignore how to distinguish them, thus feeling afraid of these animals because of their appearance and usually hurting them. This study explores Immersive Virtual Reality (IVR) as an educational tool focused on allowing users to deduce a rule to distinguish between insects and other arthropods. In total, 21 under graduated students participated in this study. The results indicate that students feel confident when interacting with virtual insects and manage to complete the experience, even when they were afraid of these animals. It is also evident the teacher's importance to guide in interpreting the information that is being received.","PeriodicalId":144690,"journal":{"name":"Rev. Se entrenó un modelo para identificar y aislar las pistas singulares de una canción, por medio de TensorFlow y herramientas para realizar la separación de fuentes auditivas y producir partituras genuinas, basadas en un algoritmo de transcripción musical (para pianos, bajos, batería y voz, específicamente), que los principiantes puedan visualizar, editar y descargar (en formatos .PDF y .MIDI), ajustándose a su ritmo de práctica. Se consideraron tres métodos de separación de fuentes, bajo las siguientes restricciones: emplear una única canción como archivo de entrada, que ésta fuera moderadamente compleja (compuesta por un conjunto de entre tres y seis instrumentos) y que la cantidad de muestras –canciones compuestas por instrumentos relevantes y pistas de cada instrumento por separado– aptas para el entrenamiento del modelo, sean sumamente escasas.","PeriodicalId":144690,"journal":{"name":"Rev. La Realidad Virtual (RV) como tecnología generadora de ambientes inmersivos actualmente presenta una notable expansión, y se ha presenciado en múltiples investigaciones en diversos campos de estudio. Reconociendo las virtudes que aporta esta tecnología, como el aumento en motivación y en la efectividad del aprendizaje (por comprender un mayor nivel de inmersión y satisfacción en las actividades realizadas) en los ámbitos educativos y de entrenamiento, se propone evaluar cuál es la configuración de controles (hápticos o tradicionales) más pertinente para mejorar el desempeño y la percepción de usabilidad en los ámbitos mencionados. Así pues, este articulo presenta detalles correspondientes a la elaboración de un prototipo que permita la finalización de tareas básicas para fines educativos y de entrenamiento, en un ambiente de realidad virtual. Every day, there are significant advances and improvements to provide greater comfort to passengers. One of the vehicle technologies that are especially under development is designing specific user interfaces for infotainment systems and different types of interaction, for example, the implementation of 3D user interfaces to provide feedback to the user. These interfaces can be created from technologies available on the market, both free and private software for designing 3D models, and the development of Human Machine Interfaces used in the automotive industry. This article describes the process followed to develop a functional interface from technologies for 3D modeling and interface design. Si bien se ha demostrado la utilidad práctica de esta estrategia en diferentes niveles de formación, no se ha hecho mucho énfasis en una parte fundamental: el diseño de los procesos colaborativos inherentes. La Ingeniería de la Colaboración destaca para ello el uso de patrones de colaboración y de ThinkLets como unidades primarias de diseño, lo cual tiene como objetivo primordial la reutilización. Some studies have shown that collaborative knowledge generation through storage, access, dissemination, and application could help organizations collaborate with partner firms to share supply chain knowledge and improve their work. However, it is not clear how to structure activities that convey real collaboration. The ease with which students construct programs in multimedia environments carries the disadvantage of translating these concepts into “real” text-based languages, probably because not enough work has been done on the problem level. According to research in teaching programming, students tend to have greater difficulty at higher levels of abstraction (understanding the problem) than at lower levels (such as coding). Comparing problems through analogical reasoning is a strategy from cognitive psychology extended to various disciplines. We suggest that its application in programming teaching could contribute to solving the problem of the difficulty of abstraction at the problem level and facilitate the transfer.","PeriodicalId":144690,"journal":{"name":"Rev. Vehicles have become a world full of opportunities that allow drivers to immerse themselves in an environment of connectivity, communication, information, and entertainment. Thus, it is important to start giving the user a more contextualized study, where he/she is not treated as a general individual, but instead for what he/she is, a driver, with specific features and actions. This paper presents a subjective definition of Driver eXperience (DX) and the factors to take into account to enhance the vehicle-driver relationship and therefore bring the driver a more comprehensive approach when performing in-vehicle tasks. Considering that several authors agree that older people suffer from social and technological isolation (or even exclusion) due to their aging condition, this situation could worsen since the elderly population's growth trend presents significant levels. It is important to identify documented experiences on the social isolation of older people in the global context and practices that minimize the effects of this phenomenon.
