Despite decades of effort to address this issue, water sustainability remains elusive even today. Smart technologies have been widely adopted for water management, rendering smart water management a promising path to achieving water sustainability. Nevertheless, the efficacy of such smart water management in attaining sustainability remains unclear. This study aims to investigate the progress made in pursuing water sustainability with smart water management through a scientometric literature review. The Scopus database was employed to extract a pool of 460 candidate publications, which were then analyzed for content using bibliometric analysis and VOSviewer software. Nine clustered research themes were classified, corresponding to the nine targets of sustainable development goals (SDGs) for water. The findings show that engagement across these topics is highly unequal, providing substantial guidance on where emerging research efforts should be concentrated. The novelty of this study mainly lies in the SDG perspective that provides a significant but overlooked angle for observing progress in smart water management domain. The findings can enlighten the international water industry to create a more favorable environment for regions lagging in using smart technologies to facilitate overall water sustainability.","PeriodicalId":14424,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Strategic Property Management","volume":"65 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135387052","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Over the following 40 years, the land-use situation changed dramatically, and ironically, there is now a too-fragmented residential area and very insufficient commercial areas. We employed a balanced panel data analysis. The data for this study were 24,177 parcel tax assessments and land assembly, split, zoning change, and property development activities over nine years from 2011 to 2019. We found that de facto land assembly would affect the tax assessment by delaying it a year more than it is when the development is approved, while formal land assembly did not. Development activity itself increased the assessment for that year only. Finally, formal land assembly in the commercial zone increased the assessment only for the following year, while property development in the residential zone increased the assessment for that year only. We recommend that the government provide land-assemblyfriendly policy incentives to allow for much larger property developments in both residential and commercial zones. The research on land and property development activities’ impact on tax assessment can provide a reasonable basis for the government’s tax assessment institution building.","PeriodicalId":14424,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Strategic Property Management","volume":"51 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134960979","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The objectives were to find out whether headteachers' supervisory strategies influence teachers’ performance in the CBC and to establish how headteachers’ parental engagement strategies influence teachers’ performance in CBC implementation in primary schools in Kisumu Central Sub-County. The research was anchored on managerial role classification theory. A convergent, parallel, mixed-methods design was adopted. The target was public primary schools, headteachers, teachers, and the Quality Assurance and Standards Officer (QASO). Purposive sampling was adopted to include all 20 public primary schools, 20 headteachers, and one QASO in Kisumu Central Sub-County. Simple random sampling was used to select 304 out of the 440 teachers in the Sub-County. A questionnaire was adopted to get data from teachers. The collection of data from headteachers and the QASO was done through interview guides. The quantitative research instrument was validated by consulting the research experts, and the qualitative instrument was validated using the member checking technique. The reliability of the instruments was calculated through Cronbach's alpha, and a score of 0.789 was attained, which was considered reliable. Quantitative data was analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 25, which was presented in percentages, frequencies, tables, graphs, and charts. Qualitative data was analyzed into themes and reported in narratives and direct quotations. The study found that head teachers do not effectively supervise teachers in the implementation of the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) in Kisumu Central Sub-County. This lack of effective supervision has significantly contributed to teachers' ineffective performance. Therefore, it was concluded that the managerial strategies employed by the head teachers need improvement to enable teachers to perform better in implementing the CBC in Kisumu Central Sub-County. The study recommends that the government develop school policies to ensure that head teachers regularly supervise teachers during the curriculum implementation process. In China, innovation-related policies are intended to create a shared business environment where new entrepreneurs can contribute to achieving sustainable economic growth. This study analyzes the spatiotemporal dynamics of LFD and UI from 2005 to 2019 using the spatial autocorrelation model and dynamic spatial Durbin model. It finds a positive spatial association between LFD and UI throughout the studied regions during the study period. It also reveals a significant inhibitory effect of UI on LFD and a negative impact on the LFD of neighbouring cities. Moreover, the inhibitory effects will increase over time. Lastly, this study shows varied impacts of UI on LFD in different regions, especially in eastern China. Important policy recommendations for high-quality development in China are provided.","PeriodicalId":14424,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Strategic Property Management","volume":"54 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136060144","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study utilized social learning theory. A convergent parallel mixed-methods design was adopted. The study targeted public secondary schools and involved principals, teachers and students. The data collection tools were questionnaires for students and teachers and an interview guide for principals. Systematic sampling was used to select 24 out of the 243 schools. Simple random sampling was used to select 240 out of 2,412 teachers and 393 out of approximately 24,000 students. All principals from the selected schools were included in the study. The study used SPSS to analyze quantitative data, which was presented in percentages. Data from the interviews were analyzed thematically and presented in narratives and direct quotations. The findings revealed that when principals involve parents in the discipline management of students there is a significant impact on student academic achievement. However, the study concluded that this discipline management strategy is not currently well employed and needs improvement to enhance the performance of learners. The study recommended that the government, through the Ministry of Education, should offer training and workshops for principals, teachers, and other school staff, on the effectiveness of engaging parents in their children's education. This training should prioritize enhancing communication skills, fostering cultural sensitivity, and investigating methods to actively involve parents in decision-making processes. These measures will help in establishing an environment conducive to learning, ultimately enhancing students’ academic performance. According to the population trend of the world, a massive segment of the future population will be the elderly. Therefore, it is crucial to pay attention to the needs of this segment of society. In this regard, the concept of an age-friendly city that provides a favorable urban environment for the elderly has entered the world’s scientific literature. Because one of the essential land utilization that the elderly have a lot of connection with is health-therapeutic use, the current research has been carried out to evaluate the current health-treatment situation of Songhor city in terms of its usefulness for the elderly. In the second step, the most important drivers influencing the location of these uses have been identified from the perspective of related experts. This research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-analytical in terms of research method. The required data has been collected using library-documentary studies, field surveys, and the distribution of questionnaires from related experts. According to the study’s findings, more than 60% of treatment facilities in Songhor city are inaccessible to the elderly. This difficulty varies by therapeutic use; in some cases, it is less difficult than the average, while in others, it is more difficult. In addition, three factors–investment cost (V3), rivalry (V10), and population density (V8)–have been identified as the age-friendly city’s main drivers out of a total of 18 main variables. The study’s findings indicate that the global population is aging, and urban managers and officials should design urban environments following the requirements of the projected population by putting forth medium- and long-term plans.","PeriodicalId":14424,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Strategic Property Management","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135980071","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Regardless of this, mobile telecommunication firms in Kenya are yet to achieve required brand loyalty levels. This is evident given high levels of switching freedom and churn rate levels which rose from 21.20% to 31.45% in Safaricom, while in Airtel, this rose from 4.9% to 6.0% in 2021. The main purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of relationship marketing on brand loyalty in mobile telecommunication service providers in Kenya. The study was hinged relationship marketing theory and descriptive research design. Target population was 124,849 subscribers drawn from four telecoms; Safaricom, Airtel, Telecom and Equitel. Stratified sampling technique was used to select a representative sample of 443 respondents. The primary data for the study was collected using a closed ended survey instrument. The study adopted Cronbach’s metrics of alpha to determine the internal consistency of the instrument while its validity was assessed by supervisors. Quantitative data was analyzed using both descriptive statistics (frequencies, percentages, means, standard deviation) and inferential statistics (Correlation and Regression). The findings indicated that there is a positive and significant relationship between relationship marketing and brand loyalty, where relationship marketing explained 60.1% of the variance in mobile telecommunication service providers brand loyalty. The study was directed to assess the influence of leadership approaches on employees’ performance in microfinance banks in Rwanda. Research on leadership theories, including Douglas McGregor's X-Y, Fiedler's Contingency Theory, Trait Theories, Behavioral theories, and Charismatic Leadership, will benefit researchers, Copedu Plc, MKU University, Rwanda government, and public in general. The research design was descriptive. While the target population was 48 employees of Copedu Plc the sample, size was the same since the population was too small. The data was collected and analyzed using the Statistical Packages for Social Sciences (SPSS) Version 23, to show mean, standard deviation and percentages. The researcher used correlation coefficient to determine the relationship between variables while the regression analysis was to determine the influence of leadership approaches on employees’ performance in microfinance banks in Rwanda. The findings showed that majority of the respondents agreed that change leadership styles can adapt employees working environment leading to decision-making as team and minority disagree and implied that change leadership styles can adapt employees working environment. Majority of the respondents agreed that involve employees in decision making improves morale and employees flexibility decision making in microfinance and minority of respondents disagree with statement. This implied that involving employees in decision-making improves morale. Regression analysis on transformational leadership, p-value was .699 which was greater than the 0.05 set as standard significance levels. This means that null hypothesis stated that there is no significant influence of transformational leadership on employees’ performance of Copedu Plc, was accepted and goes by the null hypothesis, which states that the independent variable has doesn’t have influence employees’ performance in terms punctuality and good time management, creativity and innovation and ability to perform efficiently.
