Therefore, there is a need for reliable and accurate models of RF MEMS switches. Artificial neural networks (ANNs) have been appeared as very efficient alternative to time consuming full-wave and/or mechanical simulations of RF MEMS devices. However, to optimize the switch geometry it is usually necessary to perform certain optimization procedures. In this paper the development of ANN based procedures to be used as a feed-forward tool for determination of the switch geometrical parameters avoiding optimizations is proposed. The proposed procedure is developed for determination of the length of the bridge fingered part of a capacitive switch to achieve the desired electrical resonance frequency or the necessary actuation voltage.","PeriodicalId":144044,"journal":{"name":"2013 11th International Conference on Telecommunications in Modern Satellite, Cable and Broadcasting Services (TELSIKS)","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129352264","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is especially true if the aggregation of non-contiguous carriers from different frequency bands (i.e. InterBand CA) occurs. In this paper the interference suffered by a UE when receiving aggregated carrier signals is analysed in different CA scenarios. Mathematical models are derived that allow the interference and, consequently, the Carrier-to-Interference ratio to be globally characterized. Some numerical results using different propagation models are analysed using ICS-Telecom simulation tool. A comparison with the theoretical models is also presented.","PeriodicalId":144044,"journal":{"name":"2013 11th International Conference on Telecommunications in Modern Satellite, Cable and Broadcasting Services (TELSIKS)","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122478369","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The antenna radiating elements are two crossed double bent dipoles that are printed on the dielectric substrate and have complex conjugated impedances. In order to diminish environmental influences the antenna is placed in the metallic cylindrical cavity. By using double bent dipoles the overall antenna dimensions are significantly reduced. CBACP is simulated and realized for operation around 5.9 GHz. Simulated and measured results show good agreement. Furthermore, investigation of cavity parameters and their effect on antenna characteristics has been carried out in order to achieve (a) minimal axial ratio, (b) maximal gain and aperture efficiency and (c) broader axial ratio bandwidth (AR<;3 dB).","PeriodicalId":144044,"journal":{"name":"2013 11th International Conference on Telecommunications in Modern Satellite, Cable and Broadcasting Services (TELSIKS)","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124730250","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
