The subject is a 1 200 m deep R3 shaft which is excavated from the surface. At the R3 shaft is carried out regular monitoring of mine water, specifically inflows to the deposit and their chemistry. Chemical monitoring is carried out by proper collection of mine water and their consequent chemical analysis in an accredited laboratory. \u0000The results of the chemical analysis were processed using standard text and spreadsheet editors and using geochemical modeling software. The paper defines several types of water with slightly different chemistry, but the majority is calcium sulphate type of mine water. Occasional fluctuations in mine water concentrations were not dependent on the concentration of extraction, because at the R3 shaft was extraction of uranium ore terminated in 1996. Fluctuations are attributed only to technological interventions of maintenance work on the shaft. The development of chemistry of mine water was described at the shaft during the years 1994 – 2019. The mine water from the R3 shaft were analyzed for the saturation index. For each Sn isotope, the contribution of the compound, direct and preequilibrium mechanisms were extracted. The cross-sections and isomer ratios were calculated. The results are compared with existing experimental data obtained by Bremsstrahlung source and activation methods. \u0000Theoretical evaluations of the photoactivation cross-sections obtained with Talys are in good agreement with existing experimental data. Taking into account the satisfactory description of experimental cross-section data, the isomer ratios for incident photons energy from the neutron threshold (8¸9 MeV) up to 36 MeV were calculated. \u0000If the isomer nuclei are obtained in final states then the isomer ratios were evaluated using the corresponding production cross-sections (sm, sg) in the exclusive (g, 1n) reactions. Corrosion is a present phenomenon that occurs inside and outside of buried pipes, causing the pipeline to be pierced, leading to gas and oil leaks and causes consequences of the major economic losses. In this context, our study focused on the corrosion monitoring of metals used in the transport of hydrocarbons by two approaches based on electrochemical techniques. Monitoring the evolution of the corrosion potential using an elaborated reference instead of a commercial reference electrode, and by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) coupled with the gravimetric method. One of the required services needed in this activity is the Primary Frequency Regulation (PFR). Many studies have studied various ways to provide PFR services, such as using the Conventional Generating Unit (CGU) and Lithium Battery Energy Storage (LiBESS). This paper presents several battery sizing methods used for comparison between the Levelized Cost of Electricity (LCOE) of a CGU and the Levelized Cost of Storage (LCOS) of a LiBESS, which used as PFR of a VRE penetrated grid system in a case study: the grid of southern Sulawesi, Indonesia. Recently, there has been a major milestone in effective teaching and learning methods (modern pedagogical approaches) that aim to shift students away from the traditional learning process towards collaborative, problem-oriented and independent learning. These changes required a new generation of learning spaces with different strategies and methods to adapt to these changes. This research problem lies in the huge gap between modern pedagogical methods and the spatial and geometric configuration of different learning spaces that do not meet the requirements of these methods. This article examines the impact of designing different learning spaces on learner-centred teaching and learning by understanding the interrelationships between research in architecture, learning sciences, and environmental psychology in order to achieve effective learning. Several agreed projects use the fission processes induced by neutrons on neptunium-based fuels. An investigation of the neutron fission process on the 237Np nucleus was conducted in the present research. Several parameters were analyzed during neutron-induced fission of 237Np including the neutron cross-section, mass distributions, prompt neutron emission, isotope production, and neutron spectra. Evaluations of the above observables were conducted using TALYS – 9.1 Software, with incident neutron energies ranging from 0.4 to 25 MeV. The exact value of cross-section was obtained as 5 – 5.5 MeV in the present work, whereas from literature, it was found up to 10 MeV. Neutron spectra were analyzed and separated contributions from different nuclear reaction mechanisms were obtained. A shear deformation function was developed from Soldatos’ (1992) trigonometric function and the Ritz energy approach was used to determine the total potential energy of the thick plate on elastic foundation. This method presents a simple and efficient method where only definite integration is required to obtain solutions. Results for non-dimensional in-plane and out-of-plane displacements for simply supported (SSSS) thick plates were presented and was observed to converge with that of other third-order shear deformation theories (TSDT) available in literature. From the study, it was observed that the in-plane and out-of-plane displacements reduced generally as the foundation modulus of the soil increased and decreases as the span-depth ratio increased for each aspect ratio. WRI is widely used in many industries, especially in the defense and space industry. In this study, the effect of rope material used in WRIs on vibration characteristics was experimentally investigated. WRIs were fabricated using nuflex, stainless steel and galvanized steel ropes as the main material component of the rope. Design and fabrication of 3 identical WRI models each with a rope diameter of 3 mm, namely Nufleks (NWRI), stainless (SWRI) and galvanized steel rope vibration isolator (GWRI), were performed. The produced WRI models were subjected to tensile-compression tests under different speed and pre-load conditions and then, force-displacement responses were obtained. In addition, dynamic vibration tests of WRI models were performed using the shaker system and accelerometers. As a result of the studies, it was observed that the rope material used in the WRIs significantly affected the vibration characteristics. When the quasi-static test results are examined, it is clearly understood that GWRI exhibits a more rigid characteristic compared to other models. At the same time, when the damping ratios obtained from hysteretic cycles are compared, it is clearly seen SWRI has the highest damping ratio. Then for evaluation of their properties, it could be better to combine a few neutron reactions in neutron transmission experiments (methods), depending on the value of the cross-sections of selected types of reactions. One S-resonance was considered from each element in the sample composed of only five medium and heavy elements and one trace light element. Results on 6Li and 10B nuclei are presented and they demonstrate that the missing of one type of measurement technique could lead to errors in the data processing. Both nuclei have a very low value of capture cross-section and a very high value of (n, a) cross-section. Palaoag","doi":"10.33422/ejest.v4i1.604","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.33422/ejest.v4i1.604","url":null,"abstract":"Sentiment Analysis has been an interesting and popular research area encouraging researchers and practitioners to adopt this tool in various fields such as the government, health care and education.  In education, instruction evaluation is one of the activities that sentiment analysis has served.  Though, it is a common practice that educational institutions periodically evaluate their teachers’ performance, students’ comments which are rich in insights are not easily taken into account because of lack of automated text analytics methods. In this study, supervised machine learning algorithms were used. Experiments were conducted to evaluate base models employing naïve bayes, support vector machines and logistic regression in comparison to ensemble combining the three. Random forest, an ensemble learning algorithm was also experimented. Machine learning techniques such as term-frequency – inverse document frequency (TF-IDF) and ngram were also explored to devise a model with the highest possible accuracy. Results show that in this case, tf-idf vectorization does not show significant improvement in sentiment classification. On the other hand, ngram vectorization improve performance of base models and has potential to improve ensemble models. Random forest showed higher performance measures than base models and ensemble of the three base models. However, it did not outperform ngram combined with support vector machines. In future work the model with highest accuracy found can be embedded in a sentiment analysis tool for students’ feedback on teaching performance.
