Micro grids have empowered the users with flexibility in generating & controling electricity as per their requirements and have reduced their dependence on utility grid. Also they can now transfer surplus electrical energy to utility grid and can earn monetary gains. Photovoltaic systems have emerged as indispensable alternative over other distributed energy resources that can be inetrated in microgrids due to their simple design, easy to install and easy to maintain features. However the deep penetration of microgrid systems is posing threat to reliable & optimal operation of main utility grids.","PeriodicalId":14343,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Research in Engineering and Applied Sciences","volume":"47 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"78369451","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Waste has become the biggest problem in today's world. Until now there is no proper management of waste. For managing the waste there are various segregation methods and products available but only at industrial levels. To properly pull off the waste it has to be handled, separate, transported and disposed of so as to reduce the risks to the public lives and sustainable environment. The economic value of waste is best comprehended when it is sequestered. This paper aims towards an automatic waste segregation system at the household level and small society peoples. This system is easy and has a simple solution to segregating the waste into three categories of metal waste, solid waste, and wet waste. Here we are using Arduino Uno for segregation operation. For each waste we use an electronic sensor for detection and for separation small mechanical arms are used. This paper will help society with waste management and aims to recycle the waste accordingly. Due to the high conductivity of nanoparticles, with the distribution in the base fluid, they increase the thermal conductivity of the fluid, which is one of the basic parameters of heat transfer. In this paper, properties using experimental data and artificial neural networks, to maximize thermal conductivity, temperature changes, and nanofluid volume fraction of NSGA-II optimization algorithm and also to obtain thermal conductivity values from 154 experimental data, artificial neural network modeling is used. Various indices including R-squared and Mean Square Error (MSE) have been used to evaluate the modeling accuracy in prediction, Reynolds number, and nanofluid thermal conductivity. The coefficient of determination of the relation (R-squared) is equal to 0.9988, which indicates the acceptable agreement of the proposed relationship with the experimental data. To optimize, the results are presented as a target function, the Parto-front, and its optimal points. Optimal results showed that the maximum thermal conductivity coefficient and the optimal Reynolds number occur in a volume fraction of 2%.","PeriodicalId":14343,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Research in Engineering and Applied Sciences","volume":"189 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76995319","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

More attention is paid to the consumption of manufactured goods and everyday items. Much less attention is paid to the service sector, in particular medical, recreational and physical. There is also a lack of application of mathematically grounded, computer methods and models for such modeling. We propose modeling the behavior of consumers of aesthetic cosmetology services as tasks of multi-criteria decision making on a variety of alternatives. The approach to the estimation of cosmetology service by clients based on fuzzy modeling is described. Specific features of cosmetology services, marketing, communication components are determined. The main consumer criteria for assessing cosmetology services are used. A computer model in the Fuzzy Tech, specialized software product for computer fuzzy modeling, was constructed. Integrated assessments for cosmetic institutions in Kharkiv have been calculated. The results are analyzed and recommendations for improving the quality of cosmetology service, websites of cosmetology institutions, are suggested. Technically the control mechanism is sole work of AT Mega 328P Arduino microcontroller with auxiliary drivers which help in precise step control of stepper motors whose rotational movement appears as a controlled linear motion of x, y& z-axis each deployed with this motor. The input signal in form of design, picture is interpreted in form of G-codes through dedicated firmware which are installed in the Arduino Programming IDE to help generate the actuating signals proportional to the interpolating situations. Other methods of charging UC, like constant voltage and constant charging method, pose certain limitations and increase the charging time. Conventional concrete has traditionally been designed on the basis of 28 day compressive strength and may not meet the functional requirements of concrete structures like resistance to environmental & chemical attack, impermeability, shrinkage cracks, etc. This generally impacts the maintenance free service life of the structure. Normally in developing countries, concrete is specified in a prescriptive manner e.g. M-50. No other parameters for durability and performance are specified including the service life of the structure. As a result of this many times concrete meets the standard basic parameters but fails in meeting durability parameters or requirements. To counter the above requirements a shift to High Performance Concrete (HPC) is desirable. HPC should not be confused with High strength concrete. HPC is an engineered concrete meeting special combinations of performance and uniformity requirements that cannot always be achieved routinely using conventional constituents and normal mixing, placing and curing practices. It includes concrete that provides high strength, high early strength, ease in pumping and placement with or without vibration, resistance to segregation and bleeding, volume stability and resistance to shrinkage. It also enhances resistance to sulphate attack, alkali silica reaction, carbonation, chloride & corrosion induced disruption, low permeability and diffusion, high modulus of elasticity and lower creep coefficient, improved toughness, impact and abrasion resistance, enhanced resistance to freeze and thaw attack, higher durability and lower service life of structures. This article deals with the various durability aspects of High Performance Concrete in terms of mix design approach, testing & performance evaluation. As a case study this article emphasises on M80 free flow high performance concrete for shear columns & core walls and M40 temperature controlled concrete for raft foundations of high rise structures, which highlights the durability aspects holistically. The following criteria will be discussed in the article pertaining to ease of placement by using free flow or self-compacting concrete, Temperature controlled concrete for reducing core temperature and reducing the effect of thermal stresses on concrete and long term mechanical properties, which include Modulus of elasticity, drying shrinkage & creep in concrete.","PeriodicalId":14343,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Research in Engineering and Applied Sciences","volume":"77 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"74974592","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
