We use a big size of multiobjective programming for the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) quarterly disaggregation and we test different values of the NSGA-II parameters. We come to the conclusion that if the parameters are judiciously chosen, the NSGA-II algorithm converges to a single Pareto optimal solution in a regular and bounded set for the quadratic multiobjective optimization problem we used. It should be noted that elitism in the NSGA-II algorithm contributes to accelerating the rate of convergence and the overall performance of the genetic algorithm incorporated in it.","PeriodicalId":14286,"journal":{"name":"International journal of simulation: systems, science & technology","volume":"6 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89115162","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The initial problem was whether to outsource or not, but this led to reflections on decision making, systems thinking, cybernetics and many other ethical, political and professional issues. This process of self-reflection can serve as a roadmap for decision makers and stimulate similar processes in their actions. It is important that modern scientists begin to answer the question “WHY” as opposed to always solving the ‘HOW’ problem.","PeriodicalId":14286,"journal":{"name":"International journal of simulation: systems, science & technology","volume":"45 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89617857","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We explore the impact of ERP in a well-known university in Pakistan. A survey is carried out across the university’s relevant stakeholders to explore the impact that the customized Campus Management System has. We explore the shortcomings of existing ERP systems in the Higher Education sector and ways to mitigate them. The model proposed is influenced by IS Success Model of DeLone & McLean. The constructs of the research, after data collection, went through Confirmatory Analysis. The positive results were acquired through skewness and kurtosis. The Structural Equation Modelling, SEM, results also proved positive with significant correlation among the variables. Our findings showed that Instructor Quality, Course Quality, and Top Management Support have significant impact on ERP system quality and subsequently increase ERP user perceived usefulness and satisfaction. Our results are aimed at those who have been utilizing the conventional ERP system and have been struggling with their shortcoming, as well as those universities who have been in the process of selection of ERP system.","PeriodicalId":14286,"journal":{"name":"International journal of simulation: systems, science & technology","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"78509075","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

So that people can know and measure blood pressure independently without having to go to agencies that can take measurements, we need a tool that can measure blood pressure automatically and provide measurement statistics so that the public or patient can monitor the state of their blood pressure. In this paper, we will try to integrate digital blood pressure measuring devices with IoT (internet of things) using Arduino to process sensor values from MPX5050DP and NodeMCU to connect to the internet so that they can connect to firebase which acts as a database. The results of measurements using a blood pressure monitoring tool that we made using the MPX5050DP are not much different from those produced by a digital blood pressure measurement device from Omron. After the results are compared and processed with the relative error equation it produces 3.83% for systole and 2% for diastole and obtained an average of 13.94 s for the delay of each data transmission.","PeriodicalId":14286,"journal":{"name":"International journal of simulation: systems, science & technology","volume":"37 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"74951431","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, in the real production plant there are complexities of the system and constraints which make internal logistics management difficult. In this research, a computer simulation was used to analyze routing plans for a pickup truck factory, which currently uses Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) to transport materials and components. The efficiency of the current system is low and an increase of 16.97% in productivity has been planned, so there is a need to adjust the internal logistics to be more suitable. Therefore, two new designs of AGVs routing based on zone control are proposed: a two-loop path and a tandem three-loop path. The two-loop path is the best design, using the minimum number of AGVs for both the current and the future production levels,it has a short total distance and travel time, but has six crossover paths. Five AGVs are sufficient for the current level and six AGVs are adequate for the future production level. The design is more effective and economical than the existing AGVs routing plan. Although the tandem three-loop path has no crossover path, the distance is longer than the two-loop path for this case study. The tandem path is recommended in the existing research, but for the real-world problem, it is not always the best because it depends on layout configuration and zone design.","PeriodicalId":14286,"journal":{"name":"International journal of simulation: systems, science & technology","volume":"191 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"74186172","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Interference occurs with coexisting wireless systems when data is transmitted over the multipath channel. Hence, the emission power limitations must comply with the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) spectral mask regulation. The optimal pulse design is critical to meet the FCC requirements. This article presents a mathematical model to design Gaussian-like pulses for a UWB system using generalized Bessel polynomials (GBPs). Polynomials in communication circuit fields can form an appropriate transfer function for signal approximation. Our proposed mathematical model, which presents a characteristic of GBP compared to a simple Gaussian pulse, is closed-form. The simulation used MATLAB software to adjust GBP parameters and the derivative of the proposed pulse to obtain a suitable fit for the FCC spectral mask. The results show the proposed pulse that can meet the FCC spectral mask at the optimal points at 75.3 dB with frequency 1.61 GHz, 41.3 dB with 3.1 to 10.6 GHz, and 51.3 dB with 10.6 GHz. This verifies that a mathematical model can be applied to approximate the Gaussian-like pulse for a UWB application.","PeriodicalId":14286,"journal":{"name":"International journal of simulation: systems, science & technology","volume":"2 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"74358217","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In literature, ACS has been employed to solve DNA sequence design problem. The DNA sequence design problem was modelled based on a finite state machine in which the nodes represent the DNA bases {A, C, T, G}. Later in 2011, an extended computational model of finite state machine has been employed for DNA sequence design using ACS. The performance evaluation, however, was limited. In this study, the extended computational model of finite state machine is revisited and an extensive performance evaluation is conducted using 5, 7, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, and 40 agents/ants, each with 100 independent runs. The performance of the extended computational model is also benchmarked with the existing algorithm such as a Genetic Algorithm (GA), Multi-Objective Evolutionary Algorithm (MOEA), and Particle Swarm Optimisation (PSO). In this paper, we consider to use low-cost ultrasonic distance sensor for monitoring road surface condition. We design and implement a monitoring system using an off-the-shelf node with a low-cost ultrasonic distance sensor. In the system, ultrasonic signal is periodically emitted to measure the distance from the system to the road so that the road surface condition can be estimated. To limit the sensing region, the ultrasonic distance sensor is covered by a plastic shield plate. Through experimental evaluations, we show that the monitoring system can detect the 360 cm away obstacle on road in the front area of bicycle.
