Despite its ephemeral passage on the national scene, since Rio de Janeiro was practically the stage for major political, economic, cultural and, above all, literary transformations, the aforementioned periodical played a relevant role in a society in formation, by the scenes of a city which intended to become a cultural pole in the tropics. This is a survey conducted in the collection of periodicals of the National Library Foundation/Brazil, together with a bibliographic research. We conducted a study of the chronicles published in the newspaper Foyer, highlighting the importance of theater in the new sociability that was formed in Rio de Janeiro in the 19th century. This work was part of the project “Urban cartographies: centers and margins”, financed through the CNPq Research Productivity Scholarship - National Council for Scientific and Technological Development. Rio de Janeiro, under the strong influence of French culture, still breathed the air of a transition in which literature, theater and the growing interest in reading set the tone and decided the cultural direction of an emerging nation. In addition, serials, periodicals, newspapers, in general, and, in this case, Foyer, recorded, with singularity, the scenes of a population, of plural habits, that seemed to stage in life what happened on stages, mixing therefore, the daily life with theatrical art.","PeriodicalId":14110,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Literature and Arts","volume":"31 1","pages":"1"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85485713","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

And tea culture as one important component is treated as the research focus. Through the translation, and interpretation of two Enshi folk songs: “A Young Maiden Sends Tea” and “Ode to The Four Seasons of Tea Mountain”, two great themes: tea culture and nature harmony are analyzed in connection with the ethnic custom and the ecological environment of the people in Enshi. And the nationality and regionality characteristics of the two folk songs are also stressed. Furthermore, as tea culture and nature harmony are closely related, this paper has explained aspects such as the division of labour between men and women, love relationship between young men and women, the characteristics of the growth of tea trees, the industry of growing tea, and the life of the girls picking tea. After all, the generation of the tea industry in Enshi has everything to do with the ecological environment there, and the way people live both shapes and is shaped by the way people make a living. The folk song in Enshi is the vivid representation of the local residents’ life, and the people there gradually formed their current way of life. As a whole, it is with the help of medio medio-translatology that facilitate the communication and circulation of folk songs, and the precious tea culture as well as culture harmony are better presented to the public.","PeriodicalId":14110,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Literature and Arts","volume":"117 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"75349317","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It reflects the cultural psychology and humanistic spirit of Tujia people who are hardworking, sincere, resolute, united, tolerant, pioneering and innovative. Enshi Tujia folk song is the Tujia people’s tribute to life, the praise of life, and the singing of love. Its unique artistic charm not only belongs to the Tujia people, but also belongs to China, and should belong to all mankind. Therefore, through the translation and interpretation of two Enshi Tujia folk songs, this article hopes to find out the rules of the linguistic artistry of Tujia folk songs and the socio-cultural characteristics they reflect, so that Tujia culture can be widely inherited and carried forward in this translation and interpretation. It is found that dialect, proverbs and colloquial words are often used in the lyrics of Enshi Tujia folk songs. In terms of rhythm, it often uses lining words and ending rhyme to set off the atmosphere. In terms of structure, its sentence pattern is neat, and the structural style of \"five sentences\" folk song has a unique form. In terms of rhetoric, folk songs like to use analogy and metaphor, which makes folk songs sound vivid and joyful. In addition, these two Enshi folk songs are integrated with Tujia folk cultures and daily life. They not only express the optimistic life attitude and passionate character of Tujia people, but also vividly describe the results of Tujia people's harmonious coexistence with nature, and show their sincere concept of love and traditional folk customs.","PeriodicalId":14110,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Literature and Arts","volume":"27 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"74096944","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
