Therefore, this research sought to create a statistical model framework to enhance domestic road contractors’ competitiveness when bidding for the International Competitive Bid in Ethiopia. This has been addressed by studying the challenges faced by domestic contractors in International competitive bids. The study considered structured questionnaires, interviews, and case studies for data. To measure the level of competitiveness a statistical model was generated based on factor analysis and multiple regression with the aid of software. It’s been found that challenges mainly on core competency, owner's tough requirement, public construction policies, and etc. as critical factors which construction stakeholders need to give emphasis on.","PeriodicalId":14104,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Management and Humanities","volume":"84 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"79989270","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Food safety is the shared responsibility. It is important to work all along the food production chain from farmers, manufactures to vendors and consumers. Unsafe food creates a vicious cycle of disease and malnutrition, particularly affecting infants, young children, elderly and the sick. Unsafe food is linked to the deaths of an estimated 2 million people annually including many children. There is an urgent need for strengthening the existing food policies to incorporate the importance of food safety, which is ignored most of the times, improving the food governance. This study is based on exploratory research by reviewing available literature on consumer perception and awareness on food safety in developing countries. The food we eat must be nutritious and safe, but we often ignore or overlook the issue of food safety. There is need to Improve the nutrition center in the country, actively spread information and raise consumer awareness about food safety issues. There are other issues related to the costs of implementation of food safety measures and the compliance with the standards which the Government should take care. There is an urgent need for strengthening the existing food policies to incorporate the importance of food safety. The policy makers must include “safe food” as a top priority and integrating “food safety” in the nutrition and food security policies and programs. Good collaboration between governments, producers and consumers helps ensure food safety.","PeriodicalId":14104,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Management and Humanities","volume":"25 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81746622","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

More and more companies are focusing on being diverse by incorporating D&I policies at all workforce levels. However, making a company diverse and inclusive is much more than a matter of ethics.It is also a driving force of growth,revenue, and profit. This article explores the current trends of the subject matter along with the contemporary statistical analysis and how the organizations are faring in this regard. One of the contemporary trends is inclusion of women and people of color in the leadership positions in business organisations- the same has been statistically proven to result in economic gains. This article enlists several instances and examples which further the cause and the subject matter of the point of workplace diversity. Furthermore, this article exposes the flaws in the current diversity rhetoric and outlines what a 21st-century inclusivity paradigm could look like as well as how leaders can foster it. The reader will be able to acknowledge the dynamic paradigm of this issue and will be able to understand a gist of the concept of workplace diversity and how it is still a work in progress.","PeriodicalId":14104,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Management and Humanities","volume":"17 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81721971","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Least Developed Countries (LDCs). Research Design and Methods: Research of peer reviewed studies on effectiveness of U.S. foreign aid support to U.N. LDCs were conducted using ProQuest and Google Scholar databases. A select literature review of keywords is offered to elucidate understanding of current perspectives. The study approach is based on empirical evidence. This study employs a set of multivariate linear regression models to examine the effects of U.S. foreign aid on health, education, and social services on the Human Development Index (HDI) in LDCs from 2000 to 2020. Findings: The findings show that U.S. foreign aid for health sectors significantly impacted HDI in LDCs for the time period under review. Evidence Limitation/Implications: An important limitation is highlighted by the need for increased research on other variables identified per the HDI. Discussion: The results of this study suggest that U.S. foreign aid has had a positive effect on the achievement of human development goals in the health sectors of LDCs. Past research has linked improved human development outcomes with increased economic development which contributes to the sustainable development of a society. The significance of these findings warrants further research regarding the contribution of U.S. foreign aid to positive human development outcomes and economic growth. Private firms, federal agencies, and scholars allocate tremendous amounts of time, effort, and resources to produce efficient methods and strategies to combat the proliferation of compliance infractions, that often result in sanctions. The purpose of this research is to assess the performance of companies with C&E programs and those without C&E programs. A literature review of historical and current unclassified government data was collected from several public U. S. Government systems to determine the statistical relationship between Compliance and Ethic programs and non-Compliance and Ethic program penalties. The population under study consisted of 49 DoD contractors totaling an aggregate value of $212.4 billion obligated contracting dollars. A total of 364 fraud cases and $6.2 billion in fines were identified in this study. The study concluded that companies with Compliance and Ethics had a statistically significantly higher penalties and a penalty ratio than those without Compliance and Ethics. However, there were no differences in dollars obligated based on Compliance and Ethics programs. The implication of Compliance and Ethics programs decreasing fraud penalties in DoD contracting supports the need for effective regulatory oversight within organizations and future research on the compliance and ethics programs of firms contracting with the DoD.","PeriodicalId":14104,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Management and Humanities","volume":"33 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"78933733","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
