The average yield was 348.45 quintals, per hectare gross return was Rs. 3,14,608.18 with a benefit cost ratio of 1.35. From the study area, three marketing channels were identified i.e. Channel I, II and III. Price spread was Rs. 153.88 per quintal, Rs. 446.21 per quintal and Rs. 844.02 per quintal at channel I,II and III, respectively. The producer’s share in consumer’s rupee was 85.44 per cent, 64.71 per cent in and 43.98 per cent in channel I, II and III, respectively. In terms of constraints faced in production and marketing “non-availability and high labour rate” and “lack of regulated market and price fluctuation” were the major problem faced by the farmers.It can be concluded from the study that pineapple cultivation is a profitable venture for the farmers.","PeriodicalId":13858,"journal":{"name":"INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES","volume":"100 3","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140507965","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It has been estimated that world as a whole more than 30-50 per cent vegetables, fruits etc. are lost before it reaches to the consumers. To overcoming spoiling problems of vegetables and fruit; various preserving methods are used and renewable sources are best for this purpose by which we can save energy for preservation and keeping the product in their natural flavor by drying it.Drying is one of the oldest methods of preserving food. The solar drying system utilizes solar energy to heat air and to dry any food substance. It brings about a substantial reduction in weight, volume, minimizing packing, storage, and transportation costs, and enables storability of the product under ambient temperatures. This paper present the Construction of Continuous solar dryer which can be used for drying various fruits and vegetables products in rural areas under hygienic conditions. The Continues solar dryer was constructed consisting of a solar collector cum drying chamber. The overall dimension of the continues solar dryer is 1830×300×620mm and the drying chamber was painted black to absorb maximum solar radiations. The glass was covered it permits the solar radiation into the system but resists flow of heat energy out of system and product were moving continually from inlet to outlet through chain conveyors. This chain conveyors was connected to the rollers and the roller was connected to belt pully to reduction motor and VFD to control the chain conveyor from inlet to outlet to dry the product at required moisture content.","PeriodicalId":13858,"journal":{"name":"INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES","volume":"22 2","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140507708","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Evaporated milk widely finds its application in infant food formulas, as well as used for drinking after dilution, for cooking or as a coffee whitener/creamer. Evaporated milk has a higher concentration of milk proteins which leads to one of the biggest challenges that is, heat-induced coagulation due to the denaturation of milk proteins, particularly the whey proteins, and their interactions during the intense sterilization operation that is typically used to ensure a longer shelf-life for these products. As this phenomenon highly influences the product quality and production equipment, it is of great importance to improve the heat stability of the milk-proteins. The present article reviews the recent advances in different techniques that improves the heat stability of evaporated milk.","PeriodicalId":13858,"journal":{"name":"INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES","volume":"11 9","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140508592","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Rabi sorghum seed is considereda”moderate storer” as its viability fluctuates drastically under warm and humid storage conditions. In the present research,we evaluated the stored Rabi sorghum seed material for its physiological quality particularly vigor and viability as germinative evaluation criteria. The seeds of Rabi sorghum variety, SPV-1411, SPV-1595, CSV-22R, CSV-29R and SPV2407 were stored in air-tight plastic containers and kept under ambient laboratory conditions were evaluated for germinative criteria. The storage of seeds resulted in the deterioration of seed vigor as evidenced by the decline in the various parameters investigated.","PeriodicalId":13858,"journal":{"name":"INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES","volume":"9 2","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140508250","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
