Nevertheless we need to achieve the ease of use and the ease of configuration for the WBAN to be tapped. In this paper we propose a service-oriented (SOA) middleware design for WBAN, as a way to simplify application development by providing abstraction of complex low-level concepts. In the proposed architecture, sensors are coordinated by a gateway node, which in turn retransmits data to a remote central unit and receives WBAN control information and queries from this central unit. Based on predefined thresholds and rules, alarms will be sent from the gateway node to predefined medical staff. We propose employing extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol (XMPP) protocol to ensure real-time event notification and scalable design. The design allows storing sensors data, sensor reconfiguration and resource management. The target user is a patient who needs regular monitoring. WBAN in this case shall increase patient comfort and reduces periodical checkups allowing remote monitoring. We believe that the use of Web Services and standardizing the messages exchanged is a potential solution for interoperability and ease of use and configuration challenges. This will attract more application developers to this field, leading to more innovative applications. We also believe that the use of XMPP protocol will satisfy real-time event notification and scalability design requirements for the middleware.","PeriodicalId":137864,"journal":{"name":"2012 International Conference on Information Technology and e-Services","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-03-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125136025","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As the modern human is getting more and more mobile, carrying an ever increasing amount of computational power around and having access to online services, the need for personalized and adaptive information services is rapidly increasing. Thus, the field of context-aware services has been, during recent years, a field of intense research and has given rise to several approaches. However, in most of the approaches there is a lack of generic methodology for formalizing the development activity for this type of services and, consequently, this activity is very cumbersome and time consuming. Recently, some research works have advocated Model-Driven Development (MDD) as an approach for context-aware services development. In this paper we aim to review these works and their main features.","PeriodicalId":137864,"journal":{"name":"2012 International Conference on Information Technology and e-Services","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-03-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134317351","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, the techniques used in traditional information retrieval systems do not meet the requirements of users who want to take into account their social preferences. The idea reported in this paper is about including not only the social context of the user but also the one for the resource. In the social network that we consider, the user social context brings its interests, which are captured from a collaborative tagging system, while the resource social context is related to clusters of tags, obtained by classification method, and users' opinions according to their expertise level on the resource. The results of our experiment evaluation on real-world datasets (crawled from delicious folksonomy) demonstrate significant improvements over traditional retrieval approaches.","PeriodicalId":137864,"journal":{"name":"2012 International Conference on Information Technology and e-Services","volume":"102 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-03-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116674171","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The data are modelled in the setting of the possibility theory which provides interesting tools of representing imprecision and uncertainty. Moreover, the constraints that govern this theory allow a wide choice for the combination of heterogeneous data. We are particularly interested by the adaptive combination rule proposed by Dubois and Prade. Thus, a fusion of acoustic and anatomical data in the form of possibility distributions is proposed. The resulting vector of this fusion is the vector representing the speaker who is the input of the second phase of the identification system that is the modeling phase.","PeriodicalId":137864,"journal":{"name":"2012 International Conference on Information Technology and e-Services","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-03-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115014103","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The system of information research must organize, store information and then provide the documents which correspond to user information needs. These systems are based on models of information retrieval and use similarity measures taking into account the structural and textual information. This paper presents a new similarity measure, inspired by that of CASIT model (in French: CAlcul de SImilarité Textuelle). It is adapted to semi-structured documents, specifically XML documents. This measure is used to calculate a rate of resemblance between a required XML document and each document of an XML database, by generating of interference wave presenting the existence and importance of the vocabulary of the required document in each document of database. Two important notions are used: the neighborhood that allows the valuation of terms and the path of tags followed to reach lexical units. This similarity measure has been exploited by a system of semi-structured information retrieval which we realized. We have used an experimental XML database and defined the time as criterion of evaluation. Consequently the running time is linear, which makes use of a huge database possible. Then tested in term of quality and answers relevance by the measure: recall / precision.","PeriodicalId":137864,"journal":{"name":"2012 International Conference on Information Technology and e-Services","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-03-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122664989","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The last objective is to explore the future by which the economic plan is adopted, and the strategic policy is development. The success or failure of these plans and strategies depends on the credibility of the prediction. In spite of the Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) is characterized by being simple and flexible and have the ability to reach a perfect estimate in most cases, but the potentials in the access a good predictions are questionable. In this paper, the comparison of the (ANFIS) as an intelligence method and the Nonlinear regression (NL) as a classic method applied to define the ability of estimation and prediction. For this purpose, we choose ten nonlinear types of data, which is different in length and shape. The Anderson-Darling test is used. We conclude that six of them distributed as normal distribution while the remaining are not. By the analysis, it seems clearly that the NL is best for prediction, while the ANFIS is perfect for the estimation.","PeriodicalId":137864,"journal":{"name":"2012 International Conference on Information Technology and e-Services","volume":"82 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-03-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124879673","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
