This paper aims to estimate the water requirements of PAJALE plants using the cropwatt model. The results of the analysis show that each plant has different water requirements in each growth phase which was analyzed using cropwatt application throughout the year with medium textured soil types. Rice, corn and soybeans are the main food commodities in Indonesia. Corn and soybeans are generally planted after rice in irrigated and rainfed rice fields, making them susceptible to drought. Therefore, information using cropwatt applications, especially rainfall, temperature, Air humidity and solar radiation are very important in determining the time of planting and the right water requirements for plants. The purpose of the study was to determine the planting time and water requirements of rice, corn and soybeans, based on the results of cropwatt 8.0 analysis, and to compile a time map of Indonesian food crops so that the risk of production failure due to drought can be avoided.","PeriodicalId":13778,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Applied Science and Engineering","volume":"108 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81673114","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the de sitinggil residential area, Patrang District, Jember Regency, there are flood problems caused by high rainfall and significant land use changes. Changes in land use from rice fields or empty land to settlements. The change in land use results in a larger runoff. Besides that, there is sediment deposition which reduces the wet cross-sectional area, as a result the dimensions of the existing drainage channels cannot accommodate the maximum flood discharge. To anticipate the problems that occur because, it is necessary to plan an absorption well. So based on the existing process, several conclusions can be drawn, namely the runoff discharge at the 10 year return period in the housing of 0.445 m3 / s by making 20 communal infiltration wells which will be able to reduce flooding that enters the river.","PeriodicalId":13778,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Applied Science and Engineering","volume":"8 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"74989335","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Stage-1 uses a backpropagation neural network to classify faults in the system, thereby determining whether or not to shed the load in that particular case. Stage-2 uses an artificial neural network combined with an ant colony algorithm (ANN-ACO) to determine a load shedding strategy. The AHP algorithm is applied to propose load shedding strategies based on ranking the importance of loads in the system. The proposed method in the article helps to solve the integrated problem of load shedding, classifying the fault to determine whether or not to shedding the load and proposing a correct strategy for shedding the load. The IEEE 25-bus 8-generator power system is used to simulate and test the effectiveness of the proposed method, the results show that the frequency of recovery is good in the allowable range.","PeriodicalId":13778,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Applied Science and Engineering","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87738466","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Incorporating with wearable sensors, biofeedback techniques have been applied in many fields to acquire various physiological responses and convey audio/visual signals for operators to lighten workloads, regulate stress, improve health, and better performances. This study evaluates the efficacy of integrating audio biofeedback device with real-time personal physiological strains monitoring system on reducing physiological strains for simulated treadmill walking tasks with medium and heavy loads. Ten male subjects voluntarily participated in this study. The results indicated that biofeedback with associated measure showed significant effect on skin temperature and heart rate. Task load showed significant effect on all physiological responses including heart rate, tympanic temperature, and skin temperature, and subjective score of perceived exertion. Providing audio biofeedback signal to cue the subjects to take precaution measure could decrease skin temperature and heart rate of the subjects by 0.18°C and 6.1 bpm, respectively.
