Silver nanoparticles were formed by treating aqueous solution of AgNO3 with plant leaf extracts as reducing agent of Ag to AgO. The synthesized silver nanoparticles were characterized with transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Dynamic Light Scatteringnano sizer (DLS) and Zeta potential. In vitro, Neem AgNPs at concentration 800 μL/L inhibited completely the mycelium growth and sporulation of Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. lycopersici (FOL). Silver Nanoparticle synthesized by neem extract was the most effective treatments in decreasing disease incidence and severity. Moreover, increased the fresh and dry weight of shoot and root of treated plants. Results revealed that plants treated with silver nanoparticles exhibited an increase in activities of defense enzymes such as peroxidase, polyphenol-oxidase, chitinase, phenylalanine ammonia and phenol contents over the control plants. In this respect, silver nanoparticles synthesized by neem extract also were the best treatment. The present results suggest that silver nanoparticles synthesized by plant extracts had fungicidal activity, and it could be an efficient, safe and affordable alternative to chemical fungicides.","PeriodicalId":137669,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Sustainable Development and Science","volume":"200 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124490089","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The objectives of this work aimed to study the responses of Origanum majorana, L. to different levels of compost and different adding ways of compost tea and their interaction between them on the productivity of vegetative growth, oil yield and oil chemical components . A spite plot design with three replicates was followed in this study, levels of compost treatments; 0, 15 and 30 m/fed. were the main plots, while compost tea; control, spraying, soil drench and spraying + soil drench were accepted the sub plots. Results showed that, the increase in levels of compost led to a direct increase in all growth characters. adding 30 m/fed compost log highest values in all characters of vegetative growth (plant height (cm), number of branches per plant, dry weight of leaves per plant (g) and per feddan (Kg). ) and oil yield (essential oil percentage, essential oil per plant (ml), per feddan (L) of marjoram plant. On the other hand, adding compost tea through spray + soil drench together for the best results in all characters of vegetative growth and oil yield together. The best treatment resulting from the interaction between the levels of compost and methods of adding compost tea 30 m/fed. compost with spraying + soil drench for compost tea together. Which recorded the best values in all characters under study. In another way, the interaction treatment affected active ingredients of marjoram oil, where the results were clarified that, terpinen-4-ol compound recorded the highest percentage in the active ingredients of marjoram oil, where the increase reached 65.061% compared to control 31.057 % and other treatments, during the application of 30 m/fed. compost + spraying with soil drench for compost tea together.","PeriodicalId":137669,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Sustainable Development and Science","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124319170","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

PGPR can be used as bio-control agents. The objective of this study was to assess four different bacterial strains i.e. Pseudomonas fluorescens, Azospirillum brasilense, Azotobacter chroococcum and Bacillus megaterium against Meloidogyne spp at three different incubation times i.e. 24, 48, 72 and 168 hrs under laboratory conditions. Furthermore, the strains were evaluated at different application times i.e. (one week before, at the same time and one week after nematode inoculation) as biocontrol agents against Meloidogyne spp. on tomato plants in pots experiments. In vitro results revealed that the highest inhibition percentage in egg hatching and larvae mortality recorded after 168 hrs with B. megaterium by 17.3% and 92%, respectively. Greenhouse, results cleared that all evaluated bacterial strains at all different application times had the potentiality in Meloidogyne spp. parameters reduction i.e. (number of galls, egg masses, females/root system and juveniles in soil) and the reproduction to a huge extent compared to treated plants with nematode alone. Plants inoculated with B. megaterium achieved also the highest increases in shoot and ISSN 2537_ 0715 IJSRSD (2021): Volume 4, Issue 2, August 2021 International Journal of Scientific Received: June 2021, Accepted: July 2021 Research and Sustainable Development Page 2 of 31 root lengths and weights when applied one week before nematode inoculation by 213.3, 175, 180 & 291.3%, respectively compared to the other application times. Also it the highest values of ch.a, chl.b, total chlorophyll and carotenoids by 1.0, 0.75, 1.75 and 0.78 mg/ g.f.w., respectively recorded with B.megaterium when applied one week before nematode inoculation after 30 days from transplanting. Plants inoculated with A. chroococcum recorded the lowest photosynthetic pigments. Peroxidase (POX) and polyphenol oxidase (PPO) were increased with all bacterial strains treatments. The significant increase of dehydrogenase activity and total count of bacteria of all different bacterial strains observed when applied at all three application times were compared to plants infected with nematode alone.","PeriodicalId":137669,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Sustainable Development and Science","volume":"80 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-08-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126997467","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
