However, multitask apps, especially those for video streaming applications, increase the data demand from mobile networks and require a lot of energy. Therefore, understanding energy consumption behavior becomes essential to extend the battery life. This paper presents some real current measurements of a recently launched smartphone in LTE scenarios, exploring CA with the most common MIMO setting in 4G mobile networks, 1x1, 2x2, and 4x4. Numerical results show that energy consumption during the communication increases as the number of antennas in MIMO is larger, especially in MIMO 4x4, where higher data transmission rates are obtained. However, after analyzing the energy efficiency along of a fixed time, it is observed that MIMO 2x2 is more energy-efficient than MIMO 4X4, and even than MIMO 1x1. Observing the whole consumption profile, it is evidenced that MIMO 2x2 increases the battery life by approximately 0.04% and 2.73% compared to MIMO 1x1 and 4x4, respectively.","PeriodicalId":137636,"journal":{"name":"2021 4th International Symposium on Advanced Electrical and Communication Technologies (ISAECT)","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125090230","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Firstly, an islanded microgrid composed of n distributed energy resources (DER) connected to each other through VSI and nonlinear load is modelled. Thereafter, a master slave based control strategy is proposed. One of the VSI is designated as a master and it is responsible for controlling the microgrid AC bus voltage and responsible, also, for setting the reference current to be supplied by the slave VSI. In the other hand, the slaves are responsible for controlling their output currents following the references received from the master VSI; in that way, the active and reactive power are shared among all the DER proportionally to their rated generated power. The control of the VSI voltage and current is ensured applying the backstepping technique. Using Lyapunov theory, the closed loop system is globally asymptotically stable. From the simulation case study, the proposed control strategy ensures the voltage control of the n parallel VSI as well as the power sharing between the n DER without being overloaded.","PeriodicalId":137636,"journal":{"name":"2021 4th International Symposium on Advanced Electrical and Communication Technologies (ISAECT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130611255","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Excessive or improper speed is a significant contributor to car accidents, it is responsible for one-third of all fatalities worldwide. The principal target of this paper is to track the driver's conduct and physical condition on the road based on the vehicle's speed in to reduce the likelihood of an accident. We use a surveillance device which can be put in every car fitted with the OBD-2 standard (On-Board Diagnosis) to monitor the vehicle's current speed in this paper. A PIC microcontroller-based monitoring system, as well as additional devices such as a shock sensor, digital multiplexer, SD card module, camera module, GPS location detector, and GSM global mobile communication system module, will be installed in the vehicle. The speed and position information of the car with an exact date and time will be saved on the SD memory card. In the situation of a crash, a photo will be taken and saved on a memory card specified for the camera, and an urgency message with the most recent position and speed data will be delivered to the closest medical institution and local police, and also the manager or landlord, through the GSM module (in a situation of the car lease).","PeriodicalId":137636,"journal":{"name":"2021 4th International Symposium on Advanced Electrical and Communication Technologies (ISAECT)","volume":"77 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115011498","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The common symptoms of Covid-19 are cough and fever, which are very similar to the normal Flu. Covid-19 spreads fast and is devastating for people of all ages especially elderly and people having weak immune system. The standard technique used for Covid-19 detection is real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test. However, RT-PCR is unreliable for Covid-19 detection as it takes long time to detect the disease and it produces considerable number of false positive cases. Therefore, we need to propose an automated and reliable method for Covid-19 detection. Radiographic images are widely used for the detection of various pulmonary diseases such as lung cancer, asthma, pneumonia, etc. We also used chest x-rays for the diagnosis of Covid-19. In this paper, we employed two deep learning models such as SqueezeNet and MobileNetv2 and fine-tuned to check the classification performance. Moreover, we performed data augmentation technique to increase the amount of data and avoid the overfitting of model. We evaluated the performance of the proposed system on standard dataset Covid-19 Radiography dataset that is publicly available. More specifically, we achieved remarkable accuracy of 97%, precision of 95.19%, recall of 100%, specificity of 95%, area under the curve of 98.93%, and F1-score of 97.06% on MobileNetv2. Experimental results and comparative analysis with other existing methods demonstrate that our method is reliable than PT-PCR and other existing state-of-the-art methods for Covid-19 detection.","PeriodicalId":137636,"journal":{"name":"2021 4th International Symposium on Advanced Electrical and Communication Technologies (ISAECT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130974114","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This decreases of the solar radiation energy absorption and subsequently reduces the energy output of the panels. The present effort aims at reducing the dust accumulation on PV panels by flying the drone above these panels at certain heights and time intervals. This paper demonstrates the effectiveness of a drone flying over photovoltaic (PV) panels to remove accumulated dust and improve their efficiency. The downward thrust of the drone due to its cruise at a certain height above the PV panels is able to remove most of the accumulated dust if performed regularly. The tests were conducted at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) beach, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia by loading each panel uniformly with 20, 50, and 100 CC of dust.","PeriodicalId":137636,"journal":{"name":"2021 4th International Symposium on Advanced Electrical and Communication Technologies (ISAECT)","volume":"144 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132124976","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The remarkable growth of rural electrification is based on the Solar Home System (SHS). In 2003, Rural Electrification and Renewable Energy Development Project (REREDP) was introduced in Bangladesh. The achievement of the primary goal of 50,000 SHS implementation had been completed in off-grid locations by 2.5 years; the estimated time was three years. 4.5 million SHS has been installed, and 13 million people are taking advantage of SHS systems. But maximum drawbacks and complaints regarding the installed SHS such as lifetime and battery-related difficulty, technological-advancement deficiency, bulb-related difficulties, high cost and implement associated challenges, social and other barriers have created a perplexing condition. The main goal of this research work is to find out the challenges of SHS deployment and compare it with the new model (CP model). In addition, the requirement of the customer is rising remarkably with the advancement of technology. A possible technique is needed to generate enough power utilizing green energy sources at consumers' locations. Here “Consumer is Producer” showed a unique method for providing stable power to the customer, where also the energy will be produced and utilized by the customer.","PeriodicalId":137636,"journal":{"name":"2021 4th International Symposium on Advanced Electrical and Communication Technologies (ISAECT)","volume":"616 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133017563","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The scarce availability and high costs of satellite capacity imply to utilize the available resources in a very efficient way, with the possibility of jeopardizing the quality of associated services. In particular, voice-based applications (i.e., telephony) represent a critical class of real-time services, which can underperform due to the peculiar harsh channel and severe constraints, including possible traffic throttling. Across times the assessment of QoL had taken several shapes and sizes but with only one single purpose, which is, to assess the state of well-being of an individual, a group of people or the welfare of a region or a nation. With the introduction of data science tools and machine learning algorithms, peoples are able to observe the evolution of a country, governments can evaluate the effectiveness of country-level programs and analyze main factors contributing to this evolution and its impacts and thereby make better decisions. We especially focus on world happiness index, which is an international QoL index developed by the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network. In this work, we are interested in well-being prediction systems based on machine-learning algorithms. For this purpose, we made a comparative study to explore the potential of the most used machine-learning algorithms on data of The World Happiness Report (WHR). The experiment results showed that regression algorithms achieved an R squared of 0.8954 and RMSE = 0.0656, Lasso Regression, Multiple Linear Regression and LSTM were the best performing algorithms for predicting the QoL indicator for the year 2021.","PeriodicalId":137636,"journal":{"name":"2021 4th International Symposium on Advanced Electrical and Communication Technologies (ISAECT)","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127897957","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Different forecasting techniques have been implemented for forecasting the inflow rate in the past with Support Vector Machine (SVM) being very popular and accurate among them. Similarly, the outflow forecasting is essential to estimate the usage and also encompasses different models for forecasting. Muskingum model is found to be prevalent in forecasting outflow but it has the limitation of inefficiency in taking care nonlinearity. In this paper, both inflow and outflow rate prediction is done by Auto-Regressive Integral Moving Average (ARIMA) model as prediction of stream flow was never modelled as ARIMA in the literature earlier. The performance evaluation parameter considered is the root mean square error (RMSE) for comparison with the existing SVM models. It is found that in case of inflow rate, RMSE obtained by ARIMA model shows a decrease of 36% in the best case and increase of 4.3% in the worst case when compared with the SVM models. Likewise, the outflow rate RMSE when compared with Muskingum model gives better results taking non-linearity into consideration. The results of this study will help in not only planning efficient water resource management but also prediction of flood frequency in future.","PeriodicalId":137636,"journal":{"name":"2021 4th International Symposium on Advanced Electrical and Communication Technologies (ISAECT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121673195","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
