Promotional message is the communication about the product/service that a company wants to deliver to its target customers in order to generate awareness and subsequent sales. Promotional messages maybe in various forms, the most common forms being text messaging and email. Hence this study is focused on consumer perception towards Promotional messages in Coimbatore City. It was found that customers are overloaded with promotional messages. It acts as a good marketing strategy. It is also found that the buying behavior is significantly influenced by promotional messages. Mostly customers are receiving promotional messages through SMS only. Daily messages are sometimes irritating for customers that can be avoided. The Governments at Central and various state levels have tried there level best to bring minimize the negative impact of COVID-19 on livelihood of the citizens. The means adopted were primarily focusing upon the food security to underprivileged people across the nation, dedicated extra COVID healthcare funds, development of health related infrastructure, arrangement of medical equipment’s, medicines etc. with support of various ministries and defense forces, special incentives in health sector to boost their morale and recognize their committed efforts. However, in totality when looked upon a deficit was observed in terms of supply in comparison to the demand for several goods and services. The core reasons being unavailability/ lack of labor, raw material, lock-down rules, situation of uncertainty etc., all this resulting in slowing down the economic affairs in India, severally impacting the financial economy, employees and employment at large. The situation being so grim that either people were losing their lives due to Corona or due under tremendous pressure as a result of stress arising out of money and earnings, with many earning members no more alive or sitting idle with no employment. With a nation of size of India, which stood tall against the so called first wave in the year 2020 was carving out path out of the crisis situation, encountered the vital second wave in year 2021 (April onwards in volume). Huge crisis of immediate supply of Oxygen and few medicines created a situation of Havoc across nation. {"title":"Assessment of Performance of Functional and Partial Functional Water Supply Systems in Sunsari District of Nepal","authors":"Anjay Kumar Mishra","doi":"10.24321/2454.3268.201901","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.24321/2454.3268.201901","url":null,"abstract":"Only 25.4% of water supply projects are fully functional in Nepal though the target of government is to provide access to safe water supply and sanitation facilities for all. Therefore a study for comparing the performance of the functional (Itahari) and partial functional (Duhabi) water supply and sanitation project after management transfer is needed to assess the indicators to improve the status of water supply and sanitation projects. Both the projects are of Sunsari district. Purposive Sampling technic was applied based on sample size of central limit theorem. Scheduled Questionnaire Survey, Expert Consultation, Focus Group Discussion and Water Sample Test were done for primary source of data whereas reports. Journals, project reports, similar studies, books, websites and audit reports were reviewed for secondary source of data. Comparative performance of both the projects was analyzed based on technical, financial and institutional indicators. From the study it was found that pressure of flow, water demand of users, chlorine demand, and quick response of staffs, water quality and open defecation free were maintained at Itahari whereas such features were lacking in Duhabi Water Supply and Sanitation Project. It was found high tariff rate, timely payment and a business plan of Itahari WSSP was better resulting into better financial performance of the system in comparison to that of Duhabi. Based on policy in both water supply and sanitation projects 33% of women along with a vital post and marginalize group based on service area representation were found. In Itahari Water Supply Project, for per thousand of connection 3.66 staffs were appointed whereas in partial functional Duhabi Water Supply System 1.91 staffs were found for per thousand connections. The present study has been focused on the appraisal of the diverse factors which affects the attitude of the employees in positive as well as negative ways which further impacted on the performance and productivity of an organization. Based on employees’ perception, employee attitude may depend on different constraints like work environment, training, remuneration, job security, employee satisfaction, and fairness of treatment etc. which can cause the individuals to work at different rates, thus affecting the overall performance and productivity of an organization. It has been observed from the studies that it is essential for development of healthy employee retention strategy in the organizational ong with planning for producing more number of well-trained manpower.
