Using a case study approach, this qualitative research involved two single parents and two children aged 5 years as research subjects. Based on interviews and observations, single parents foster children's self-awareness through several steps: recognizing one's own emotions and the emotions of others, managing one's emotions, motivating oneself, being a role model, and building social relationships. As a result, children's self-awareness manifests in self-confidence, independence in choosing activities, emotional control, understanding of rules, discipline, persistence, and pride in their work. The development of self-awareness in 5-year-old children is closely related to the steps implemented by single parents, with being a role model being the most effective method in fostering children's self-awareness.","PeriodicalId":135708,"journal":{"name":"Aṭfālunā Journal of Islamic Early Childhood Education","volume":"26 2","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141711654","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This qualitative research will be analyzed descriptively, and semi-structured interviews with open-ended questions will be conducted with four early childhood education (ECE) teachers in Banda Aceh. The findings show that ECE teachers' perceptions of STEAM-based learning techniques have a high potential to be implemented in Banda Aceh City ECEs, as the respondents have used aspects of STEAM in their learning. Teachers' lack of knowledge of STEAM-based learning approaches and procurement of materials and funds to fulfil STEAM learning needs are barriers to integrating STEAM in ECE institutions in Banda Aceh. More STEAM socialization and STEAM learning implementation training is needed for ECE teachers in Aceh in general.","PeriodicalId":135708,"journal":{"name":"Aṭfālunā Journal of Islamic Early Childhood Education","volume":"44 s9","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141688700","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In addition, it also describes the implementation of child-friendly schools in learning activities, facilities and infrastructure The study applied descriptive qualitative approach. The informants were the principal, teacher, and students aged 4-5 at Pembina Srengat State Kindergarten. The researcher gathered data through interviews, documentation, and observation. The result of this study suggest that CFS adoption has a considerable impact on boosting self-confidence. Children can express their emotions during play and learning activities, share their thoughts, and carry out the many duties assigned by the teacher. Although the teacher occasionally gives the students additional direction due to the children's frequently clashing personalities in early childhood, the character of self-confidence has been accomplished. It follows that creative and engaging teachers can influence students' feelings of enjoyment while studying, thereby continually developing a self-assured character.","PeriodicalId":135708,"journal":{"name":"Aṭfālunā Journal of Islamic Early Childhood Education","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127796881","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach involving various sources such as journals, books and classic literatures. The result of this study indicated that the causes of siblings encountered in the story of Prophet Yusuf as. were jealousy that builds an assumption of the existence of favoritism between siblings by parents, kids being competitive to get their parent's attention, lack of empathy for the sibling, harmful anger and manipulative attitude. To deal with this behavior, Prophet Yaqub showed an example as a distinctive parent by being patient with the children's behavior, playing fair with all his children, building good communication, and educating the children to always have a good connection with God.","PeriodicalId":135708,"journal":{"name":"Aṭfālunā Journal of Islamic Early Childhood Education","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128909790","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
