Markova","doi":"10.18698/2306-8477-2022-1-766","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.18698/2306-8477-2022-1-766","url":null,"abstract":"The paper presents a teaching model for introducing terminology to students via web-based multimedia tools. We provide the theory behind the model and describe the results of testing it in practice. We identify several grounds for determining the core and struc-ture of a specialist's terminological competence. We define terminological competence as a primary part of professional competence allowing College of Space Instrument Engineering students to participate in professional intercultural communication due to acqui-sition of general and specific professional vocabulary. We pinpoint the most common ways of presenting specialised vocabulary when teaching foreign languages for professional purposes.
