{"title":"A Study on the Relationship Between Personality Traits and Unethical Pro-organizational Behaviors of Sales Staff: The Mediation of Performance Pressure","authors":"Jiahuan Zheng, Zeng Zhi, Xiaohan Jiang","doi":"10.11648/j.hss.20231102.14","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.11648/j.hss.20231102.14","url":null,"abstract":": Objective: To explore the causes of unethical pro-organizational behavior (UPB) of sales staff and the influence mechanism of personality traits on UPB. Methods: The questionnaire method was used to obtain the sample data. The personality traits scale, performance pressure scale and UPB scale were adapted and questionnaires were designed based on the previous mature scales. The questionnaires were distributed to the sales staff by random sampling and a total of 600 valid questionnaires were obtained in the end. And the data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, regression analysis and mediated effects analysis using SPSS 26.0. Results: The mean value of personality traits of the sales staff was 3.683 with a standard deviation of 0.503; the mean value of performance pressure was 3.367 with a standard deviation of 0.475; and the mean value of UPB was 3.658 with a standard deviation of 0.523. Personality traits of sales staff had significant positive effects on performance pressure and UPB (P<0.05). Performance pressure had a significant positive effect on UPB (P<0.05). Performance pressure partially mediated the relationship between personality traits and UPB. Conclusions: The adoption of UPB by sales staff is not only directly influenced by personality traits, but also indirectly influenced by performance pressure. The paper poses main questions: about the extent of the active presence of Palestinian women in the modern media, and if the Palestinian female in the field of media is a decision-maker, another question is how does the work of the Palestinian media affect basic and important women's issues such as education and work and respect for their rights, humanity and dignity, the last question is about the image of women in the Palestinian media. The research followed the descriptive and analytical approach, and reached a number of the most important results: the stereotype of women is still dominant in the Palestinian media, and the Palestinian woman is still far from the real decision-making positions that influence the development and empowerment of women in Palestinian society, and their ability to raise their important and fundamental issues Boldly and consciously. Such occurrences entail dysfunctional and socio-pathological phenomena; that is, phenomena that violate universally accepted norms, values, principles, and rules. Such instances must be intentional; that is, conscious and purposeful, not accidental or non-culpable. They must also be repetitive; that is, occurring more than once. The subject of this study is selected dysfunctional behaviors and occurrences of social pathology among individuals in the police environment; their essence involves individual “suffering” that exhibits specific phases and leads directly to the destruction of personality. The purpose of this article is to examine which parties are all involved in the learning process of students at Windesheim University of Applied Sciences, Social Work, Almere, the Netherlands. In particular, our interest is in the interventions that each of these parties deploy in this learning process of students. The motivation for this thought exercise is to examine how to increase the cognitive and social-emotional success of first-year students. Methods. The focus of this article is on research among students and teachers at the University of Applied Sciences, Social Work in Windesheim, on sense of belonging, pedagogical skills and other interventions for successful student learning through learning communities. This focus was achieved by combining internal empirical research with a literature review. Results. Teaching students knowledge and skills is a process that involves many parties. First and foremost are the teachers and the organization behind them. Second are the classmates with whom the student acquires the knowledge and skills. Finally, there are the student's educators from the extended family, who ideally are the student's supporters and advocates. Our own research shows that a significant number of students (most are first or second generation immigrants) with an immigrant background do not feel a sense of belonging to the Windesheim University of Applied Sciences, Social Work, and the learning community. In addition, a notable research finding is that teachers still need to learn to better apply the pedagogical skills needed for student learning communities to flourish. The literature review also shows that a number of well-known student success interventions are missing from the learning communities we have piloted. These include learning circles, 17th century learning methods such as those of Rembrandt van Rijn, living labs and hackathons, etc. Conclusions . The empirical research and literature review show that interventions should distinguish between the different parties involved in the learning process and the organizational level: a) the organization as a whole, b) the learning community, c) teachers and facilitators, c) fellow students, and d) extended families. In addition, a distinction must be made between Western and non-Western learning interventions. We implemented the following techniques: the SMART(-ER) method, brainstorming (BM), a Likert-scale survey, the Pareto rule, the WSM method, and the Naive Bayes Classifier. Customer expectations were obtained as part of the survey research. Based on these, we determined customers’ satisfaction with the current quality of the criteria and the weights of these criteria. We then applied the Pareto rule, the WSM method, and the Naive Bayes Classifier. In the proposed approach, it was predicted that current product quality is not very satisfactory to customers; that conditioned the need for improvement actions. The originality of the study is the ability to predict customer satisfaction while taking into account the weights of this criterion.
