Suppression of ringing artifacts is achieved by using multiple image models that provide a better match to local edge orientation. Space-variant blur restoration is done by using multiple blur models, assuming that the space-variant blur can be represented by a finite set of blur models. A reduced update Kalman filtering procedure with image-model and blur model detection based on maximum a posteriori probability (MAP) decision is used to restore an image.","PeriodicalId":131568,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings. Optimal estimation of the state in such cases involves augmentation of the system, thus a higher order observer is required. In this paper the structure of a full-order observer is assumed and necessary conditions for the optimal observer are derived. The conditions are given for the general case where the intensity of the white noise component of the measurement noise may be singular. The solution consists of a modified Riccati equation and a Lyapunov equation coupled by two projection matrices in the singular case and one projection matrix in the nonsingular case. The problem under consideration is distinct from that of the optimal reduced-order estimator since, in general, the latter is not an observer.","PeriodicalId":131568,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings. For Stratonovitch stochastic differential equations with smooth vector fields, necessary and sufficient geometric conditions for local and global linearization by diffeomorphism and absolutely continuous change of probability law are obtained, using the interpretation of Girsanov transformations as state-feedback on brownian motions.
