Pusat Teknologi Radioisotop dan Radiofarmaka (PTRR) BATAN Serpong telah berhasil membuat senyawa bertanda 131 I-MIBG untuk diagnosis dan terapi kanker neuroblastoma. Iodium-131 ( 131 I)-MIBG disiapkan  dengan mereaksikan 127 I-MIBG sulfat dan Na- 131 I melalui pertukaran isotop menggunakan katalisator CuSO 4, reduktor sodium bisulfit, pH=3-4 menggunakan CH 3 COOH. Larutan direaksikan pada suhu 160 0 C sehingga dihasilkan senyawa bertanda 131 I-MIBG. Kemurnian radiokimia produk diuji secara kromatografi, menggunakan fasa diam  kertas whatman nomor 1 dan fasa gerak  campuran n.butanol:asam asetat:air (5:2:1), dan kemurnian radionuklida diuji menggunakan spektrometer gamma.   Kemurnian radiokimia dan radionuklida 131 I-MIBG (diagnosis) diperoleh masing-masing 99,72%±0,32 dan 99,99%±0,00. Therefor it is necessary to separate or change them into other harmless materials before being discharged into the environment. One of the methods used is electrocoagulation. The electrocoagulation method is an environmentally friendly method of treating liquid waste by combining the principles of coagulation, flotation and electrochemistry. In this study, the electrocoagulation method was carried out by varying pH and electrolyte concentrations in the simulated surfactant waste treatment. Surfactant levels were determined by spectrophotometer in methylene blue. The optimization of the method is done by determining the maximum absorption length, optimum pH, and the effect of adding electrolytes with different concentrations. The results showed that the maximum absorption at a wavelength of 659 nm. Tujuan dari penelitian adalah mengkonversi sampah plastik jenis polipropilena (PP) menjadi bahan bakar cair, premium-like, melalui proses pirolisis. Sampah plastik jenis PP di pirolisis menggunakan reaktor batch yang dilengkapi dengan kondensor. Yield bahan bakar cair yang diperoleh dari 8 kg plastik yaitu 63,375% dengan suhu maksimum pirolisis yaitu 330°C. Hasil analisis GC-MS menunjukkan bahan bakar cair yang diperoleh masih memiliki rantai karbon panjang yaitu C7-C54 dengan fraksi utama adalah hidrokaron dengan C11-C20. Sebagai sumber radiasi digunakan radioisotop iridium-192 yang dikemas dalam mikro-kapsul dari bahan stainless steel 316L dengan ukuran diameter dalam 0,6 mm; diameter luar 1,2 mm dan panjang 4,5 mm yang dikenal dengan nama brakiterapi laju dosis tinggi. Iridium-192 merupakan radioisotop pemancar beta pada energi 530 - 670 keV dan juga memancarkan radiasi gamma (γ) pada energi rata-rata 370 keV dengan waktu paro (t ½ ) 73,83 hari. Iridium-192 diperoleh dari hasil iradiasi sasaran kawat iridium alam di dalam reaktor nuklir. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk menentukan waktu iradiasi maksimal sehingga diperoleh radioaktivitas Ir-192 yang memenuhi syarat brakiterapi laju dosis tinggi yaitu 10 Ci. Iradiasi 2 buah kawat iridium alam 99,9% telah dilakukan di reaktor G.A. Siwabessy selama ± 4 bulan dengan fluks neutron 1,2 x 10 14 n/cm 2 /detik. Hasil iradiasi tersebut diperoleh radioisotop 192 Ir dengan radioaktivitas (aktivitas jenis) rata-rata 4,85 Ci (308 Ci/g) dengan yield rata-rata 33,6 % yang ditentukan sabagai fraksi aktivitas hasil produksi dan aktivitas hasil perhitungan teoritis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa setelah melalui proses molecular docking menggunakan software PyRx 0.8 , senyawa turunan flavonoid yang berpotensi sebagai inhibitor dari enam kelompok flavonoid, yaitu hesperidin, rhoifolin, myricetin, genistin, peonidin, phlorizin yang mempunyai nilai root means square deviation (RMSD) senilai 0Å dengan nilai binding affinity berturut-turut -9,4; -8,5; -8,1; -7,9; -7,6; dan -6,9 kkal/mol. Fermentasi dengan kombucha diharapkan dapat meningkatkan aktivitas antimikroba. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi teh asam daun tin sebagai antimikroba terhadap beberapa mikroba, diantaranya Staphylococcus aureus , Escherichia coli , Lactobacillus casei dan Candida albicans. Teh asam dibuat melalui fermentasi seduhan daun tin dengan bantuan kombucha selama 12 hari. Uji antimikroba dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode difusi sumuran. Dari hasil pengujian diperoleh rerata zona hambat terhadap Escherichia coli 6,97 mm, Staphylococcus aureus 5,5 mm, Lactobacillus casei 5,29 mm, dan Candida albicans 0,37 mm. Salam ( Syzygium polyanthum ) merupakan tanaman yang banyak dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan penyedap dalam masakan atau sebagai obat herbal seperti antifungi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui aktivitas antifungi air perasan Syzygium polyanthum terhadap Candida albicans . Penelitian ini dilakukan di laboratorium farmakognosi dan mikrobiologi Akademi Farmasi Putra Indonesia Malang dengan metode penelitian eksperimental. Tahap penelitian ini meliputi pembuatan air perasan Syzygium polyanthum dengan konsentrasi 100% dan 50%, skrining fitokimia, dan dilakukan uji aktivitas antifungi terhadap Candida albicans dengan metode difusi sumuran. Hasil dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa air perasan dari Syzygium polyanthum tidak memiliki aktivitas antifungi dikarenakan tidak ada zona hambat yang ditandai dengan tidak adanya zona bening di sekitar lubang sumuran pada cawan petri.
