The usage of FSO is limited by the weather, despite the fact that it has a wide range of uses in both indoor and outdoor settings. Dust is considered a significant weather limitation that might cause the link to drop. Using real-time data from the Egyptian Meteorological Authority, we first investigate the statistical behavior of the dusty channel in this work before presenting a probability distribution function (PDF) for dust attenuation. Then, a closed formula is employed to express the composite channel state brought on by the suggested dust model and gamma-gamma (G-G) atmospheric turbulence. Moreover, we analyzed the average bit error rate (BER) and normalized capacity theoretically in terms of closed forms to assess the system performance. The results show that the system's performance is significantly impacted by the dust storm.","PeriodicalId":129532,"journal":{"name":"2023 40th National Radio Science Conference (NRSC)","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128058212","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed method operates in S and C band applications. It covers the frequency range from 2 GHz to 8 GHz. The configuration of this method is based on distinguishing the reference (REF) and measured device under test (DUT) signals from each other by passing them through two different parallel paths. A reference phase shifter is inserted to achieve the difference between the two paths. The phase shift value of the phase shifter used for this system is designed to be 90° degrees. In each stage of this method, the magnitude of the power level is measured. Their values are used to calculate the phase shift between the REF and measured DUT signals. The system performance and accuracy results are investigated. It shows a maximum phase deviation of $pm 3.5^{circ}$.","PeriodicalId":129532,"journal":{"name":"2023 40th National Radio Science Conference (NRSC)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115821720","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The objective of this work is to obtain a better physical understanding of the behavior of the detector, specifically as a photoconductor $(mathrm{n}^{+}-mathrm{n}-mathrm{n}^{+})$ type, under different conditions such as flux density, biasing voltage, NW diameter, active region length and temperature. When the length is changed from 1.8 $mu mathrm{m}$ to 1.0 $mu mathrm{m}$, the output conductance is changed from 4 $mu text{ohm}^{-1}$ to 14 $mu text{ohm}^{-1}$. The simulation results predict the current produced by incident X-ray beams and the gain, while taking into account the relationship between the diameter and energy gap of InP nanowires. The simulation results show that the overall gain is in the range from 103 to 105 when the flux changes from $2times 10^{9}$ to $6.2times 10^{7}$ Ph/s. The study also models a single semiconductor nanowire and considers the effects of trapping charge and photodoping on the behavior of the nanowire. Additionally, PENELOPE is used to indicate the charge distribution in the InP nanowire material. The simulation results are validated against high-precision measurements, and decent agreement is obtained between the SILVACO TCAD simulation results and experimental results for various beam energies and conditions. This research study provides valuable insights into the functioning of nanowire X-ray detectors.","PeriodicalId":129532,"journal":{"name":"2023 40th National Radio Science Conference (NRSC)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121996974","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The 1.7 GHz to 2.7 GHz frequency spectrum is harvested using a wide antenna. A ground with a slit and a circular microstrip patch antenna makes up this antenna, which is designed to be smaller and to obtain more gain by reflecting back radiation. At cellular communications and Wi-Fi frequencies of 1.8, 2.1, and 2.4 GHz, respectively, it achieves radiation efficiencies of 96.9%, 98.9%, and 98.8%. The suggested antenna is built on a FR4 substrate with a dielectric constant of 4.4 and has an overall dimension of 40 mm x 50 mm x 1.6 mm. This study presents the design, simulation, and production with good agreement.","PeriodicalId":129532,"journal":{"name":"2023 40th National Radio Science Conference (NRSC)","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125806960","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper an intensive study for CAP and m-CAP modulations performance for VLC is presented. The study includes the effect of different modulation parameters on both Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR) and Bit Error Rate (BER). Also sparse activated sub-band m-CAP (SAS-$m$-CAP) modulation technique was proposed to improve the PAPR. Results indicate that PAPR of SAS-$m$-CAP is reduced by 2 dB and the BER of SAS-$m$-CAP is improved with 3 dB compared with classical m-CAP. A comparison of Spectral Efficiency (SE) and PAPR for SAS-m-CAP and sparse activated subcarriers OFDM Index Modulation (SAS-OFDM-IM) is performed. It is found that there is an improvement in SE about 100% and in PAPR about 7dB for SAS-$m$-CAP.","PeriodicalId":129532,"journal":{"name":"2023 40th National Radio Science Conference (NRSC)","volume":"2002 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128308606","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Recently two image denoising techniques were presented that depends on bivariate analysis. These two techniques were called Double Density Discrete Wavelet Transform (DD DWT) and Double Density Dual Tree Complex Wavelet Transform (DD CWT). They relayed on the decomposition of noisy images with either DD CWT or DD DWT decompositions. This decomposition was after the bivariate based shrinkage technique was applied to exploit the wavelet parent and children correlation for better denoising performance. In this paper we present a novel filter design technique for a DD DWT structure for denoising applications. It composed of 3 dimensional cascaded orthogonal sections. This proposed 3-channel Double Density Wavelet decomposition structure is simple and is fast in terms of convergence. It overcomes most problems for other filter design techniques of being slowly iterative and relays on randomness in parameter optimization. The proposed filter design DD-DWT structure guarantees the Perfect Reconstruction PR and the Alias Cancellation AC conditions and is suitable for VLSI iterative designs. Illustrative examples for the usage of the proposed DD-DWT based design in different image denoising applications are shown in comparison with other denoising structures from recent literature.","PeriodicalId":129532,"journal":{"name":"2023 40th National Radio Science Conference (NRSC)","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114789774","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Specifically, we focus on light-weight network architectures. The volume of training data required to achieve a particular performance level, e.g., recognition accuracy, is what we refer to as data efficiency. Recently, wavelet pooling has been attracting an increasing research attention due to its capacity to overcome the spatial information loss that is inherent in traditional pooling, by capitalizing on localized spectral information in the wavelet domain. We proposed a new wavelet pooling approach recently which has shown significant promise specifically on MobileNets. This approach chooses which wavelet band(s) to include during training by matching the input images (to be recognized) to specific wavelet sub-bands, hence the name-Matched Wavelet Pooling (MWP). How does the performance of MobileNets differ when MWP is adopted compared to the performance of baseline MobileNets and MobileNets with non-matched wavelet pooling? The principal contribution of this research is addressing this research question. We hypothesize that MWP when used on MobileNets requires a smaller volume of training, than baseline MobileNets and non-matched wavelet pooling, to achieve the same recognition accuracy. On two popular benchmarks, namely, CINIC-10 and STL-10 datasets, we report consistent data savings (achieved by MWP) that approaches 30% compared to the baseline MobileNet model and the non-matched wavelet pooling while achieving higher recognition accuracy.","PeriodicalId":129532,"journal":{"name":"2023 40th National Radio Science Conference (NRSC)","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129435588","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These circuits leads to electromagnetic waves control. Huge growth of metasurface nano-fabricated structures helps in numerous optical applications. One of these applications is optical polarizers. Optical polarization has great impact on diffraction, refraction in addition to flat optics and different optical industries in our daily life. Controlling light intensity and phase helps in many applications in different fields. In this article simple 300*300 nm nano Malus-metasurface structure is presented and simulated to show a (45°) phase shift. Detailed Study for transmission and reflection coefficients are introduced for the nano-gold metastructure. Another study for phase dependence of wavelength is presented. This structure enables controlling light phase and intensity according to Malus law. The structure can provide different patterns as grey near field pattern and holographic far field pattern. This implies connection between Pancharatnam-Berry phase shift and continual intensity modification. This design allows to merge between nanooptics, phase manipulation and the classical malus-law. The presented structure is more compatible with many applications due to its dependence on gold rather than any used material. The proposed polarizer can be used in many applications specially in encryption, multiplexing, dual channel display virtual reality, communication, programming, optical fields, biomedical sensing, artificial intelligence and different applications..","PeriodicalId":129532,"journal":{"name":"2023 40th National Radio Science Conference (NRSC)","volume":"132 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128516567","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
