The research was conducted on all vegetable farmers who use Facebook social media in cultivating vegetable crops in Lalosingi Village, Lalolae District, East Kolaka Regency as many as 32 people, sampling using census techniques with data collection methods carried out by means of surveys, interviews, and documentation. Data were collected using a research questionnaire using a Likert scale. The selection of the research location was carried out purposively with the consideration that the research location is one of the villages where most of the people work as farmers and utilize Facebook social media to get information related to vegetable cultivation. This study used class interval analysis and correlation (Rank Spearman) with the help of SPSS version 22. The results showed that the use of Facebook social media (Context, Communication, Collaboration) and the competence of vegetable farmers in Lalosingi Village were in the high category seen from the knowledge, attitudes and skills possessed by farmers in vegetable cultivation. The research location was chosen based on several considerations, such as: being an area with a lower level of change in people's behaviour in communicating with each other, being an area where the majority of people use information technology so that face-to-face communication between people is decreasing. The number of samples in this study was 58 agricultural extension workers because the total population in the study did not reach 100 people, so the number of pieces was taken using a census technique. The method used in this study is a quantitative method using data analysis, namely descriptive analysis and correlation analysis (rank spearman), with the help of SPSS software. The results of this study indicate that communication behaviour, both in terms of knowledge, skills, and intensity, is in the high category, with an average value of 4.27. The capacity of extension agents, which includes the ability to facilitate, access information, technology, and resources, and improve the organization, is also in the high category with an average value of 4.07. The relationship between communication behaviour and extension capacity in Kendari City's agricultural activities is very close, with a correlation coefficient of 0.81 (positive). The determination of the research location was carried out purposively with the consideration that the research location was a center for ornamental plants in Kendari City. The sample in this study was 22 farmers who were taken by the census method. Data collection by way of interviews, surveys, and documentation and using a questionnaire as a data collection instrument. Data analysis used the class interval formula and Spearman rank correlation with the help of SPSS 26. The results of this study indicate that the capacity of ornamental plant farmers in Bende Sub-district which consists of social capacity is dominantly determined by the ability to build partnership networks with a percentage of 45.45%, managerial capacity, dominance is determined by the ability to communicate in problem-solving with a percentage of 54.55% and technical capacity, dominant is determined by the ability to carry out plant nurseries with a percentage of 45.45%. Business continuity in Bende Village consists of social sustainability, dominantly determined by education level with a percentage of 63.63%, economic sustainability, dominantly determined by marketing ability with a percentage of 45.45% and environmental sustainability, dominantly determined by the ability to keep the business environment clean with a percentage of 54 .55%. The research period will be from March to April 2023. Site selection is carried out purposively (deliberately) with the consideration that Waulai Village has a variety of businesses both from on farm and non-farm. The population in this study is all farmers in Waulai Village who carry out on-farm (corn and cassava) and non-farm (weaving and blacksmithing) business activities totaling 25 people. Instruments or media used to collect data in the form of questionnaires. The research methods used, namely interviews, observations, documentation, and literature studies. Data analysis is used to calculate business diversity using the Entropy Index and to calculate revenue using quantitative descriptive analysis. The results show that Waulai Village has a variety of house hold businesses. The diversity of businesses in Waulai Village in clued corn farming and cassava farming (on farm), weaving business and blacksmith business (non-farm sector). This research was conducted in the Nambo Village, Nambo District, Kendari City which was determined purposively. The population of this research is women farmers who cultivate medicinal plants in the family, amounting to 20 people. The type of data is primary data obtained using a list of questions (questionnaire) and secondary data obtained from related agencies. The data processing method uses the effectiveness formula. The variables observed were (1) Respondent's identity including age, education level, number of family dependents, farming experience, land area, frequency of attending counseling, and cosmopolitan relations; (2) The effectiveness of the group method through the group discussion approach in agricultural extension activities with material on family medicinal plants; (3) Changes in the knowledge of women farmers about cultivation techniques, uses and benefits of family medicinal plants. The results of this study revealed that the effectiveness of using the group method on changes in the knowledge of women farmers about family medicinal plants, namely for turmeric plants (70.63%), ginger plants (72.41%), lemongrass plants (69.47%).
