Inspired by the piecewise linearity and concavity of the cost functions in CCPLNFP, we propose an Objective Variation Network Simplex Algorithm (OVNSA) based on a network simplex method (NSM), which derives a locally optimal solution. For large-scale problems, OVNSA fails to obtain a local minimum within acceptable computation time. Hence, we propose a Modified Objective Variation Network Simplex Algorithm (MOVNSA), which provides a sub-optimal solution within reasonable computation time. Numerical experiments show high efficiency of the proposed algorithms compared with two relevant algorithms on random test problems.","PeriodicalId":128533,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2018 10th International Conference on Computer and Automation Engineering","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-02-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114323149","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, from the high utility itemsets, we cannot know what products should be recommended to the customer such that the profit can be increased when he/she bought some products. Therefore, we propose the definition of the utility association rules and proposes some approaches for mining utility association rules. According to the utility association rules, the company can clearly understand what products should be recommended to the customers when they purchased some items, such that the company can obtain greater benefits. Because there is no previous research on mining utility association rules, we only evaluate the performances of our proposed approaches for mining utility association rules.","PeriodicalId":128533,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2018 10th International Conference on Computer and Automation Engineering","volume":"285 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-02-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133989034","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the pertinence of traditional fuzzy test is not strong enough, the coverage is too low. The traditional fuzzy test can't meet the demand of the safety requirements of industrial control systems. This paper is aimed at the characteristics of industrial terminal equipment. The transportation system involves a huge investment in all over the country which is currently a hot topic. In highway projects, there are various phases as design, construction, maintenance, rehabilitation, and demolition. Integration of these activities is important for successful project delivery. In between these phases, there is a need to support all these activities through the integration of new technology such as Augmented Reality. Complex processes such as quality assurance issues, communications among project participants and management of highway infrastructure assets will be easier to complete and manipulate with implementation of Augmented Reality. Augmented Reality has a potential to reduce the construction cost, improve the delivery time, and assist with overall management of a construction project. In the present paper, implementation of Augmented Reality is given for bridge construction as a part of transportation systems. The research utilizes the Virtual and Augmented Reality laboratory at Eastern Michigan University. A representative bridge was modelled with Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality model was created for the representative model. The bridge model shows an effective implementation of Augmented Reality in highway construction project delivery.","PeriodicalId":128533,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2018 10th International Conference on Computer and Automation Engineering","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-02-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124260332","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, existing trackers are still too far away from solving the visual tracking problem because of their limited robustness, inadequate precision and low efficiency. The correlation filters are able to acquire high speed as well as moderate tracking performance. However, they fail to deal with fast motion. Recent advantages on dense structural learning based tracking algorithms suggest new solutions to the tracking problem. In this paper, we combine an online structural learner with correlation filters for robust and accurate tracking. The proposed method is composed of two components. First, we search the target translation parameter in a large range by a structural classifier. Second, we estimate the target scale with a discriminatively trained correlation filter. The proposed tracker is then exhaustively experimented on a latest UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) dataset with 123 low framerate and highly challenging videos. We show superior tracking performance against 13 other trackers on the dataset.","PeriodicalId":128533,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2018 10th International Conference on Computer and Automation Engineering","volume":"208 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-02-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132011027","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The existing CE-based stopping criteria fail to stop the iteration and cause the maximum iteration at low SNRs. Intuitively, this work enhances the CE stopping criterion by combining with the Average-Entropy (AE) stopping criteria. The work also proposes a set of a stopping rule to distinguish the SNR between low and high region. These approaches are then thoroughly analyses in terms of the required average iteration number (AIN), as well as its bit-error-rate (BER) performance. The simulation results show that the enhanced CE able to reduce the AIN compared to existing CE-based stopping criteria while the BER is maintained. Hence, the enhanced CE-based stopping criterion make the decoder more efficient, in terms of reduction in the time delay while increasing turbo codes performance.","PeriodicalId":128533,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2018 10th International Conference on Computer and Automation Engineering","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-02-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122259297","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed method protects the primary user (PU) bands from out of bound (OOB) interference of subcarriers allocated to SUs in the reverse link. The method can be used to prevent the continuous degradation of communication performance by notifying need for reconfiguration to the receiver. One of the well-known spectrum sensing techniques is a periodogram-based energy detection method. Unlike the conventional detection scheme which draws one detection result in the observed samples in one time window, the periodogram-based energy detector compares the value of the periodogram to the pre-determined threshold on each FFT (fast Fourier transform) bin. Another spectrum sensing technique considered in the cognitive radio area is a cyclostationary detector. The cyclostationary detector is generally known for outperforming the energy based detector. However, the cyclostationary detector has not been applied to the periodogram-based detection scheme. In this paper, we analyze the performance of the cyclic-periodogram detector which derives the detection results on each FFT bin. Simulation results show that the detection performance of the multi-cycle detector using the multiple cyclic frequencies outperforms the single-cycle detector and the periodogram-based energy detector.","PeriodicalId":128533,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2018 10th International Conference on Computer and Automation Engineering","volume":"209 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-02-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122878204","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
