For the vary applications of mobile-commerce, a mobile device cooperating with a user calibration interface is used to capture the dynamic face images of the sliding view of the human face to improve the security level of the whole system. The dynamic face recognition automatically chooses proper face image from the sliding view according to the normal vector of the human face. It can provide high face recognition rate from different viewing angle and reduce computation time to fit the requirement of the platform on smart phones. The adaptive model for detection deals with the variant lighting conditions. Then, the weighted eigenface integrates features from different viewing angles between the viewing direction and the normal vector. The experimental results showed that the proposed method can be successfully applied to the smart phone for authentication of users under variant environments.","PeriodicalId":127413,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Trustworthy Systems and their Applications","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-06-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134552878","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, evolution of existing software safety standards diverges under various circumstances and environments. To understand the purpose of these standards on their domains and the effect of changing the environment on evolution of these standards, we conducted a survey on the history of the families of DO-178 (Commercial avionics), MIL-STD-882 (US Department of Defense), and DEF-STAN 00-56 (UK Ministry of Defense). Additionally, we learned that even in different environments, there are certain features in common that are preferred by industry and would likely be added to newer versions of the standard. In other words, these features are very likely to be must-haves when constructing new standards in the future.","PeriodicalId":127413,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Trustworthy Systems and their Applications","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-06-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120967452","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Video chatting is gradually become more and more popular. There are many mature and free video chatting tools to use on the internet. However, for senior citizens, learning news is much more difficult, none of them are design for senior citizens, so that it is too hard for elder to use it, it is result in the elder have no wish to learn new things. Therefore, in this thesis, we focus on the needs of elder adults, this study use HTML5 and WebRTC to propose a video chatting system designed for senior citizens, the elder can video chatting without complex operation. In addition, we also combine it into the television, the elder can use remoter controller to watch television and chat to people at the same time. After chatting, the system will upload the chatting video to server and elder can share it to friends. In the experiment, the result shows that the senior citizens is interesting in this system, also, the elder thinks that the system is very useful, feel comfortable to use it. They can learn this system quickly.","PeriodicalId":127413,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Trustworthy Systems and their Applications","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-06-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127531399","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
