Herrera","doi":"10.22201/IGEOF.00167169P.2020.59.1.2078","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.22201/IGEOF.00167169P.2020.59.1.2078","url":null,"abstract":"Este artículo surgió a partir de experimentos numéricos, en los cuales ciertos algoritmos, que en algunos textos científicos (DVS-BDDM) produjeron aceleración (o speedups) muchas veces mayores a la cantidad de procesadores utilizados (existen casos ya abordados de más de setenta, pero probablemente a menudo son mucho mayores). Con base en estos resultados sobresalientes, en este artículo se demuestra que creer en la aceleración ideal estándar, que se considera igual a la cantidad de procesadores, ha sido una limitante en el rendimiento buscado a través de distintas investigaciones sobre métodos de descomposición de dominio (MDD) y hasta el momento ha obstaculizado mucho su desarrollo. No intraslab earthquake has been reliably located below Nevado de Toluca and Popocatepetl volcanos. Here we report on an Mw3.3 event at a depth of 98 km, 38 km to the west of Nevado de Toluca. The event provides evidence, for the first time from an earthquake, of subducted slab at a depth of ~ 100 km below the volcano. Recordings of the event also provide evidence of high attenuation of shear waves as they propagate through the mantle-wedge asthenosphere. Los resultados del análisis químico y el estudio geológico regional han permitido documentar los posibles mecanismos de interacción del agua con la roca. Los resultados indican que la composición del agua subterránea en cada una de estas cuencas refleja la disolución por el agua de lluvia de los minerales de carbonato y magnesio de las rocas carbonatadas de la formación del Cretácico (Formación El Abra del Cretácico) y del flujo subterráneo a través de un medio granular con fuerte influencia del material de origen volcánico. Las aguas del tipo Ca-HCO?, Ca-Mg-HCO? se modifican durante el flujo subterráneo mediante la incorporación de iones Na+ y SO?²?. En el caso de la subcuenca III de San Nicolás, se ha documentado que su relleno incluye depósitos fluviales que pueden depositarse en condiciones climáticas de regiones semiáridas. El análisis hidrogeoquímico de las concentraciones de iones mayores, litio y bromo, permitieron identificar que el agua que se extrae de la región es producto de un proceso de mezcla en la que intervienen tres miembros extremos (mezcla ternaria): El primero, Santa Catarina (C?), tiene las concentraciones más bajas de bromo y litio en la recarga ocurre en las partes de mayor altitud en la región, hacia la Sierra de Álvarez. El segundo miembro (C?), tiene valores altos del bromo, bajo en litio y se origina hacia el valle de Ocampo Paraíso. El tercer miembro (C?), tiene bajas concentraciones de bromo, alto en litio y proviene de área de San Nicolás Tolentino. En este trabajo, se combinaron los métodos de las Funciones de Transferencia Empíricas y el Método Estocástico de Boore (1983, 2003), que es útil para simular los movimientos del terreno de alta frecuencia (f>0.1 Hz), lo cual es de mucho interés en el campo de la ingeniería (Boore, 2003). Para comprobar el grado de ajuste entre los acelerogramas obtenidos con el método utilizado en este artículo, se utilizaron las métricas propuestas por Anderson (2004). Para ello, se realizaron pruebas con acelerogramas conocidos registrados en una red temporal (instalada durante el periodo del 15 de junio al 29 de julio de 2011, en la Ciudad de Tapachula), y se compararon con los resultados sintéticos obtenidos tras aplicar el método mencionado. Para la simulación de un sismo de M=4.7, ambas componentes horizontales muestran buenos ajustes en la mayoría de las estaciones donde fue registrando. Es decir, el método aquí propuesto logra aproximarse mucho a los datos reales grabados en cada una de las estaciones. El procedimiento se basa en un generador de señales sísmicas, el cual toma en consideración las características del evento sísmico y las condiciones del subsuelo para hacer una representación realista de los movimientos del terreno. Se utilizan operadores genéticos para transformar en forma iterativa los acelerogramas, imitando los procesos de apareamiento, selección natural y mutación. El generador de señales sísmicas genéticas, modifica los componentes de aceleración de los registros considerados buenos padres para producir individuos exitosos o nuevas señales óptimas que mejor se ajustan a las condiciones objetivo. Para estudiar la subsidencia, se llevó a cabo un procedimiento interferométrico utilizando cuatro pares interferométricos adquiridos del radar del satélite Sentinel-1 en modo IW (Amplia Banda Interferométrica) TOPS (Observación del terreno mediante exploración progresiva) SLC (Complejo de aspecto simple) . Se generaron cuatro interferogramas y cuatro mapas de desplazamiento. Para cuantificar los cambios morfológicos, se consideró un sinergismo de las bandas de radar Sentinel-1 en el modo IW GRD (Rango de Tierra Detectado) considerando las bandas ópticas SPOT 6/7. El sinergismo consiste en una imagen híbrida formada por las bandas de radar y las bandas ópticas. El análisis de componentes principales se aplicó a las bandas de la imagen híbrida. Los primeros tres componentes se retuvieron, y luego se aplicó un operador de divergencia al campo vectorial formado por estos componentes, produciendo un mapa de textura. El mapa de textura se evaluó junto con el interferograma y el mapa de desplazamiento para los terremotos de septiembre de 2017. Los resultados indicaron un patrón complejo de hundimientos y cambios morfológicos. Records from RESCO seismic stations were used together with records from SSN seismic network. Source parameters were estimated: source dimension, seismic moment, stress drop, average displacement and source time.The seismic moment tensor inversion was used to estimate focal mechanism and seismic moment to compare then whit short and long period estimation of these parameters.A stress tensor inversion was also performed in order to evaluate stress state of the area of study. The results indicate a compressive stress regime, which is characteristic of a subduction zone. It is interesting however, that plunge of ?1 goes from a moderate angle in the northwest to sub-horizontal in the southeast. The existence of normal and strike-slip mechanisms is also interesting in a subduction zone. For this, fifty vertical electrical soundings (VESs),including 14 performed near existing boreholes with known values of water resistivity, have been conducted in the region using the Terrameter ABEMSAS-1000 with a spacing of current electrodes (AB) varying from 2 to 600 m.The curve matching technique is used to set structural parameters then, an inverse technique algorithm fits both theoretical and field curves for each experimental. The transverse resistance TR and the transmissivity T for the interpreted 14 VES are computed, then used to establish two relationships: one between the modified transverse resistance (MTR) andthe transverse resistance (TR) and another between MTR and the transmissivity (T).This enabled to compute MTR (ranged from 1526 to 28209 ?.m² with an average of 7873 ?.m²),TR (ranged from 24 to 31350 ?.m² with an average of 7476 ?.m²), T (ranged from 4 to 17.4 m²/day with an average of 7.23 m²/day) and K (ranged from 0.07 to 0.74 m/day with an average of 0.31 m/day) values in the whole region. The analysis reveals some anomalies considered to be of local volcanic origin: the EM background in the vicinity of the volcano was found to be significantly noisier than other reference stations; sporadic strong noise-like geomagnetic activity was observed in the H component; some geomagnetic pulsations were observed only at Tlamacas station (located 4 km near the volcano). The objective of this paper was to examine GPS as a complementary tool for seismic studies and to estimate earthquake seismic moment and Mw. For this purpose the capabilities of high-rate GPS (5 Hz) data located in the northern part of the seismic rupture has been explored to obtain the kinematic coseismic displacements. GPS data were processed using Precise Point Positioning method with GIPSY-OASIS II software, then applying the Fast Fourier Transform to the position time series, spectral parameters, seismic moment and Mw were calculated. A good agreement was found in terms of signal correlation of the GPS displacements, by comparing strong-motion seismic records integrated to displacement, using filtering parameters for two sets of instruments. Kinematic GPS displacement spectra clearly shows the low frequency displacement spectral level (~0.2 Hz) when compared with double integration of strong-motion data. It is easy to calculate the static coseismic motion from GPS data, however it is very difficult to calculate it from strong-motion data.
