The term "postmenopausal bleeding" typically refers to uterine bleeding. Since it is a sign of many different etiologies and has a strong correlation with malignancy and conditions with substantial morbidity and mortality, prompt identification and treatment are desired for postmenopausal bleeding.\u0000Materials and Methods: It is a retrospective cross-sectional observational study carried out in the pathology division of KIST Medical College and Hospital, Lalitpur, Nepal. From July 2017 to July 2022, 270 endometrial and endocervical biopsy samples with a history of postmenopausal bleeding were included. Following microscopic analysis, frequencies of histological findings in various age groups were generated. To determine whether the difference was significant, chi-square and proportions were used; the cutoff value was set at p 0.05.\u0000Results: On average, the patients were 51.9 years old, plus or minus 6.6 years. Of the 270 samples included, 222 (82.2%) were endometrial biopsies, and the remaining samples were cervical biopsies. Endometrial hyperplasia was the most common histological finding overall, occurring in 67 (24.8%) of the patients. With a mean age of 65.33 years, endometrial and cervical cancer patients were between the ages of 51 and 79. Endometrial and cervical carcinomas were together present in 31 (11.48%) of the patients. Leiomyoma was one discovery; others included endometritis, adenomyosis, endometrial polyps, hormonal deviations, and disordered proliferative endometrium. Endometrial hyperplasia was discovered in 20 patients over the age of 50 and 47 patients under the age of 50; this finding is statistically significant at a p-value of 0.05.\u0000Conclusion: In postmenopausal bleeding, benign diseases predominated, but the proportion of endometrial and cervical cancers and pre-malignant disorders was rather high. Our study demonstrates the significance of the endometrial sample, particularly in peri/postmenopausal women who have atypical uterine bleeding.

Moreover, kidney is involved in the production of erythropoietin hormone. The bone marrow suppression may occur in Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) patients. Reduced hemoglobin and increased calcium phosphorous product concentration is also common in CKD patients. The current study is aimed to find out the impact of CKD in calcium phosphorous product and hemoglobin level in Nepalese population. \u0000Materials And Methods: One hundred consecutive diagnosed cases of CKDpatients were enrolled retrospectively for the study. Calcium, phosphorous, urea, creatinine and other biochemical parameters were measured in fully automated biochemistry analyzer and hemoglobin was measured using hematology analyzer (Beckman Coulter DxH500 Automated Hematology analyzer). \u0000Results: The current study revealed the hemoglobin and calcium phosphorous product in CKD patients. The Calcium Phosphorous Product (CaP) of 69 subjects were having less than <40mg2/dL2 and remaining 31 were having ≥ 40mg2/dL2. The negative correlation of calcium phosphorous product was seen with calcium (r= -0.478, p-value = 0.000) and sodium (r=-0.309, p-value=0.002) whereas positive correlation of calcium phosphorous product was seen with urea (r= 0.559, p-value=0.000) andCreatinine (r=0.353, p-value = 0.000). The creatinine was negatively correlated with the hemoglobin concentration (r= -0.320, p-value = 0.001). \u0000Conclusion: Calcium phosphate product can be fluctuated in chronic kidney disease patients along with the decrement of hemoglobin concentration. The serum calcium phosphorous product measurement can assist to rule out the severity of chronic kidney disease.

Medical treatment is the primary option for the patient with mild to moderate voiding symptoms which consists of alpha blockers and 5-alpha reductase inhibitors either as mono-therapy or in combination therapy.\u0000Materials and Methods: A observational cross-sectional study was conducted in a teaching hospital. Total sixty-four patients were selected from hospital records. Group-A received Alpha blocker along with Dutasteride while group-B received Alpha blockers only as a primary medical treatment two weeks prior to transurethral resection of prostate for benign prostatic hyperplasia. Patients were followed up after 24 hours of surgery in which hematocrit levels were estimated. Blood loss was calculated by recording pre-operative and post-operative (after 24 hours) hematocrit level. Data were tabulated and analyzed by SPSS v25. Comparison of two groups’ Group A Alpha-blocker with Dutasteride and Group B with Alpha-blocker only was done by applying independent sample t-test. A p-value ≤0.05 was taken as significant.\u0000Results: A total of 64 patients were enrolled for this study. Patients were divided into two groups i.e. Group-A (TURP with Alpha-blocker &Dutasteride) and Group-B (TURP with Alpha-blocker). Mean age of group-A patients was 66.4±7.5 years and 66.5±7.2 years in group-B.
