The structure comprises dielectric and chiral layers and both are loaded by arrays of patches of different geometries. The reflection characteristics are analyzed for different loading configurations. The analysis is based on the generalized scattering matrix (GSM). The scattering matrix of each layer is obtained by solving the BC problem on the conductor at the interface of each layer using the conjugate gradient iteration scheme in conjunction with the fast Fourier transform (CG-FFT). All of the scattered propagated modes are studied. The results illustrate that the proposed structure with different patch configurations achieves better absorption characteristics than the use of square patches.","PeriodicalId":123517,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the Eighteenth National Radio Science Conference. The work concentrates on analyzing only affirmative and interrogative isolated 'read-loud' sentences. The work is divided into two parts: extracting the common characteristics and differences between the F0 plots of affirmative and interrogative Arabic sentences, and analyzing the effect of change in sentences length on the characteristics and differences extracted in the first part of the study. The analysis is done on a regular PC using a set of special and common software. The model obtained can be easily implemented in speech synthesizers to improve its intonation.","PeriodicalId":123517,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the Eighteenth National Radio Science Conference. In this method, a passive network is connected to the diode cathode, then this combination is modeled with an RLC load. Using the explicit formulas of filter approximations such as Butterworth and Chebyshev, a broadband matching network is synthesized between the RLC load and a resistive element which is not equal to the characteristic impedance. Then another matching network (filter) is synthesized between the resistive element and the characteristic impedance. This method produces diode detectors with low input VSWR over its useful broad bandwidth without using diode biasing (self bias) and without using resistance in the diode matching network. Examples of broadband square law Schottky barrier diode detectors with their analysis are presented to illustrate the design steps of the proposed method.","PeriodicalId":123517,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the Eighteenth National Radio Science Conference. We derived the appropriate dielectric tensor components for a gyrating electron beam with anisotropic temperature (for different parallel T/sub /spl par/a/ and perpendicular T/sub /spl perp/a/ temperatures with respect to external magnetic field H/spl I.oarr//sub 0/). The importance of special cases for isotropic (T/sub /spl par/a/=T/sub /spl perp/a/) and anisotropic (T/sub /spl par/a//spl Lt/T/sub /spl perp/a/, i.e., if T/sub /spl par/a//spl rarr/0) beam temperature, is investigated. We derived the dispersion equation of longitudinal oscillations in a cold electronic plasma penetrated through by a beam of charged particles with anisotropic temperature (for different parallel T/sub /spl par/a/ and perpendicular T/sub /spl perp/a/ temperatures). As an application, the derived dispersion relation is solved in due course to investigate the current-convective instability (CCI) due to helical beam-plasma interaction. We determined the self longitudinal plasma oscillations in the absence of the beam. We investigated the derived dispersion equation in the two special cases for isotropic (T/sub /spl par/a/=T/sub /spl perp/a/) and anisotropic (T/sub /spl par/a//spl Lt/T/sub /spl perp/a/, i.e., if T/sub /spl par/a//spl rarr/0) beam temperatures. The theory of a helical beam interaction with a plasma can be applied in astrophysics and in the study of the Sun-Earth environment. The study of instabilities in a system of gyrating charges is of special interest for elucidating the conditions of plasma confinement in magnetic traps.","PeriodicalId":123517,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the Eighteenth National Radio Science Conference. The method is suitable for fault detection and location of large mixed digital and linear analog circuits. It can be applied for both combinational and sequential circuits but for sequential circuits the timing relationships between all analog- digital circuit ports must be taken into consideration such that the measurements at different ports must be taken at the proper timing. The fault diagnosis of the digital circuit is based on the test set generation. Therefore, all the works done concerning that topic can be applied here which is a major advantage of the developed method. The method presented can be used for the mixed analog-digital circuit test program development, prior to the availability of prototype. Illustrative examples are presented to clarify the developed method. Results are obtained and found consistent.","PeriodicalId":123517,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the Eighteenth National Radio Science Conference. NRSC'2001 (IEEE Cat.
