PCNs are toxic, resist decomposition, and bioaccumulate in adipose tissue. They are transported through air, water, and migratory birds, across international borders and precipitate far from place. Released, where they accumulate in terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems, PCNs form as unintended persistent organic pollutants (UPOPs) with PCDDs, PCDFs, PCBs, and other UPOPs. The use of polychlorinated naphthalenes in multiple applications such as chlorine rubber, pyrene, sealants or adhesives, and in similar applications such as capacitors, transformers, and anti-corrosion paints. It has innumerable uses and applications, and thus constitutes an imminent environmental danger to Earth and humans, and when identifying waste containing naphthalene. polychlorinated or contaminated with it, States and those with an interest in the seriousness of naphthalene may also consider an approach developed for the inventory of naphthalene. There are a number of different methods that have been used to collect information for POPs inventories, such as the indicative method, the qualitative method, and the quantitative method. This study explains their nature, sources, physical and chemical properties, products that may contain them, steps and stages of PCN control in products and tools, and most importantly in this study. They explain the methods of analysis and sampling in different products and in water, air and soil.","PeriodicalId":121477,"journal":{"name":"Abhath Journal of Basic and Applied Sciences","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129251095","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The method relied on the condensation reaction between the drug and Ninhydrin reagent (NIH) in the present NaHCO3, and then the colored product was measured at 420 nm. The absorbance measured was related to AMX concentration. Different experimental conditions of assay were studied, and optimized. Beer’s law for the method is obeyed over the concentration ranges 30-180 µg mL-1. The molar absorptivity value was 1.76×103 L mol-1 cm1. The limits detection (LOD) and quantification (LOQ) values were 0.9 and 2.73 mg mL-1. The method was validated according to ICH guidelines for precision and accuracy, robustness and ruggedness, and selectivity. The intraday and inter-day relative standard deviation (%RSD) values for precisions were found to be in the range of 1.53–2.62%, whereas the respective relative error (%RE) values for accuracy were better than 2.25%. Robustness and ruggedness were tested, and the %RSD values were within the accepted limits in both instances. Also, placebo blank and synthetic mixture analysis was applied for method selectivity. The results showed that there is no interference resulting from co-formulated materials in the developed method. The assay was successfully applied for the determination of AMX in commercial tablets and capsules with reliable, satisfactory results, and indicated that the proposed method was as accurate and precise as the official methods. Hence, the proposed method can be applied in pharmaceutical laboratories of quality control.","PeriodicalId":121477,"journal":{"name":"Abhath Journal of Basic and Applied Sciences","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132912636","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

All surface water and groundwater resources in Yemen are being exploited beyond the recharge level, resulting in a water crisis. Reusing treated wastewater for irrigation could mitigate this water crisis. Analyzing the quality raw and treated wastewater of Hodeidah city's Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) by waste stabilization ponds is the objective of this study. A comparison of the results of pH, EC, SS, COD and BOD5 with Yemen and international standards shows that WWTP influent and effluent meet acceptable standard limits for irrigation. According to the wastewater parameters analyzed, the suspended solids, COD, and BOD5 levels in influent and effluent were 380-180, 757-175 and 450-84 mg/l, respectively. As a result, the wastewater treatment plant in Hodeidah city can be used for unrestricted irrigation as it poses a low risk of impacting the surrounding environment.","PeriodicalId":121477,"journal":{"name":"Abhath Journal of Basic and Applied Sciences","volume":"432 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116404982","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The need for sophisticated computer models, such as the expert systems based on fuzzy Logic proposed in this study, which address the evaluation of teachers even in the face of ambiguous information, has been brought on by the indexing of academic performance in numerous international databases with impact indices at different scales. The development of a fuzzy Logic model in this study, which makes a unique contribution, involved simulating and implementing an algorithm in MATLAB, in which the membership functions and inference of fuzzy Logic rules designed. This pilot study's outcome was to test and validate the suggested model using a graphical interface, providing the results in accordance with minimum requirements and with more explanations.","PeriodicalId":121477,"journal":{"name":"Abhath Journal of Basic and Applied Sciences","volume":"113 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134624516","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The fingerprint was the most intensively researched in the field of biometrics system due to permanence and uniqueness features which made varies of different peoples. The paper addressing many stages, in addition to the primary stages of any biometrics system the fusion of unimodal system was used in order to improve the performance of the system. The double enhancement techniques were used to make the images very clear by Histogram Equalization and Fast Fourier Transformation (FFT). The feature extraction was conducted using three techniques which called Zernike Moment (ZM), Hu-Moments (Hu) and Gray-Level Co-occurrence Matrix (GLCM) that categorized to statistical and texture features. The matching between these features was performed using the Euclidean distance to find the scores matrix. Additionally, the fusion as the most modern technique was used to improve the performance of the biometrics system which performed in this work by feature level and score level fusions. The feature level fusion by using concatenation and score level fusion by using Weight sum rule strategy led to improve the performance of the system. The system was evaluated by False Accepted Rate (FAR), False Rejected Rate (FRR), Equal Error Rate (EER) and Genuine Accept Rate (GAR). The results show that, the fusion gave the most efficiency results compared with individual system. The work was tested on four datasets such as Fingerprint Verification Competition (FVC2000), (FVC2002), (FVC2004) and our department datasets which called KVK dataset. The best results were achieved by FVC2002 with maximum GAR reached to 98.45% and minimum EER of 1.54% as compared with other datasets and existing works. \u0000 ","PeriodicalId":121477,"journal":{"name":"Abhath Journal of Basic and Applied Sciences","volume":"11 Suppl 11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127404162","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
