However, the EFL course for the student nurses at the Ministry of Health and Population has not been assessed in terms of students’ achievement in EFL as represented in the five course components of writing, grammar, reading, health-related/ESP vocabulary, and translation. The aim of the study was to cover this shortage by assessing the effectiveness of the course in students’ achievement in the above components and students’ attitudes towards the course. The study adopted a quasi-experimental approach and had one group pre-posttest design. The sample comprised 30 final year student nurses enrolled at the five-year study Technical Tumour Institute in Ismailia. The instruments included a pre-posttest and a course evaluation form. Results indicated that the students’ achievement in the five course areas/components above was proven high by students’ statistically significant difference in pre-posttest mean scores at the 0.05 statistically practical significance level. Two components have improved better than the others, i.e. reading and translation. The student nurses’ views showed that they were slightly satisfied about the course, but desired that the ESP component should be increased and a communicative component to be added. Recommendations included incorporating listening and speaking activities, language functions related to the students’ future work setting, and more genres needed in life, such as email, note-taking, and report writing. It adopted the quasi-experimental design, with one experimental group and one control group. Participants of the study were 30 EFL in-service teachers in the academic year 2021/2022. They were randomly assigned into the two groups, experimental (15 teachers) and control (15 teachers). The experimental group received the suggested training course, while the control group continued to practice their evaluation in the regular way. On designing the training course, the researcher tried to crystallize the prime and secondary elements of training courses in general and EFL training courses in particular. Results indicated that there was a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the experimental group and the control group in favoring the experimental group. It was concluded that the suggested training course was effective in enhancing EFL in-service teachers' evaluation practices. The two groups' pre-posttest design was adopted in this study. The participants of this study were 40 EFL schoolers from Abu Satty Primary School at Abu Hammad, Sharkia Governorat, Egypt. They were divided into two groups: control and experimental. Each group included 20 schoolers. Three instruments were developed and conducted: a questionnaire for measuring the English language performance limited to the four language skills in addition to vocabulary and grammar and a rubric measuring those skills. They were validated by a panel of jurors. Based on these skills, a test of English language performance was developed and used as pre/post-test. During the experiment the researcher used tasks and activities based on the storytelling approach. They were taught through the sessions to develop the schooler's English language performance. By the end of the experiment, the test was administered to both groups to find out the effectiveness of the storytelling approach. Findings of the study were statistically analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences software (SPSS).
