In this strategy, the order of the pressing and the pressing load applied to the coupling are controlled to meet the necessary conditions. The basic theory for latch completion conditions is derived based on our previous study, which revealed the mating completion conditions of kinematic couplings. An experimental model that consists of two circular plates and three parts of two–degrees of restraint (2–DOR) (balls with grooves) with pressing load mechanisms using tension springs is developed. The shape repeatability in the experimental model is evaluated by measuring the relative displacements of two plates in each installation while changing the pressing order and load applied. During this demonstration, it was found that the cells became curved, which destabilized the attitude of the spacecraft. Therefore, this study focused on a sputtering deposition technique that generates internal stress during the formation of thin films. The objective of this study was to control the curvature of a multilayer film by sputtering with a pattern. This program includes not only lectures on space science and technology but also hands-on trainings with onboard equipment and project-based learning utilizing parabolic microgravity flight and CANSAT. During such project-based learning process, students learn the complete process involved in space missions, such as mission design, implementation, project management, and operations regarding various constraints. Such learning is very effective for acquiring individual knowledge of space science and technology and also acquiring skills required for space missions. The first author of this paper was one of the first T-SEP students in 2015 and one of the best examples of the impact of this program. In addition, he continues to participate as a mentor to support T-SEP. One of the most important scientific objectives of Hayabusa2 is to investigate the chemical and physical properties of the internal materials and structures of the asteroid Ryugu. To achieve this goal, we developed a new device called the small carry-on impactor (SCI). The SCI is a kinetic impactor that is being used to create an artificial crater on the surface of Ryugu. It has no attitude or orbit control device. The helical spring in the separation mechanism provides both separation force and spin torque to the SCI. The impact accuracy of the SCI depends heavily on the separation accuracy. Repeating a large number of separation tests is a straightforward approach to evaluate the separation accuracy. However, that is not realistic. Hence, first we performed several element tests to understand the separation dynamics. Then, the final separation accuracy was evaluated through a small number of separation tests, and this was followed by simulations that used the results of the element tests. ITF-1 was the first CubeSat at the University of Tsukuba; however, signals were never received. Although ITF-2 was developed based on ITF1, the components that resulted in failure were reconsidered and improved for use in ITF-2. In this paper, the overview, subsystems of ITF-2, and the design improvement from ITF-1 to ITF-2 are presented. In addition, ITF-2 was deployed from “Kibo” on January 16, 2017 and it is still operational as of September 2017. This paper reports the operation results and the achievement of missions: “YUI network”, which is a “participatory” mission using CubeSat, involving participation from people around the world, ultra-small antenna, which is used for two amateur bands by attaching it to a metal structure, and a new microcontroller, which has been reported to be saving energy, high radiation resistant and demonstrated to acquire a new achievement in space.
