Dodecyl mercaptan, Potassium persulfate, anionic Dioctyl sulfosuccinate as surfactant and aerosol. The emulsion polymerization of acrylics with NaCN cellulose as protective colloid was used as binders for gloss paints of special rheological behavior. The work has shown that there was a good compatibility between the pigment and the binder during the paint formulation, which accounts for the deep colour and good opacity for paints formulated. The formulated paints were characterized for physico-chemical properties such as viscosity, hot box stability, gloss, gloss retention, opacity, scrub resistance, colour, adhesion etc., which yielded positive results, and revealed that the paints could be used as both indoor and outdoor coatings.","PeriodicalId":11960,"journal":{"name":"ESSENCE International Journal for Environmental Rehabilitation and Conservation","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-08-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86518228","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A study was carried out in Mohabala lake on phytoplankton diversity in different seasons during 20142015. The Mohabala lake is principal fresh water body located within Bhadrawati Tahsil in Chandrapur District of Maharashtra state. The Present study deals with estimating the change in forest canopy density using remote sensing techniques for last decade i.e., from 2008 to 2018 of the West Singhbhum District. Biophysical models like Advanced Vegetation Index (AVI), Bare Soil Index (BI) and Canopy Shadow Index (SI) are overlaid to achieve the FCD for two time periods with an overall accuracy of 86% in 2008 and 82% in 2018. The final FCD is classified into five classes namely High forest, Moderate forest, Low forest, Wasteland, Bare land and it is evaluated how the High and Moderate forest is converting into Wastelands and Bare lands. The focus of this study is to assess the change in vegetation cover using NDVI and to predict the NDVI for year 2028 by generating linear regression model which has shown a coefficient of correlation of 0.617. The derived results showed that how the high forest cover density is degrading in West Singhbhum and wastelands and bare lands are increasing linearly while this study showed the pattern of change in NDVI and predicted its scenario after one decade","PeriodicalId":11960,"journal":{"name":"ESSENCE International Journal for Environmental Rehabilitation and Conservation","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-08-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"77281639","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study was undertaken to assess the nutritional status and observe the diet quality and their association in 7-9 years old school going children. The sample comprised 120 boys and girls who were randomly selected from three schools. Background information was collected using self-designed questionnaire; socio economic status was assessed using Kuppuswamy’s socioeconomic status scale. Anthropometric measurements included height and weight. Weight for age and height for age Z scores were calculated using WHO reference. Twenty four hour dietary recall was used to collect information regarding diet and nutrient intake; nutrient adequacy ratio and mean adequacy ratio were calculated. Healthy Eating Index-Canadian was used to assess diet quality of the subjects. According to weight for age Z score, 5.8% were underweight and 0.83% were severely underweight. Nutrient adequacy was inadequate for energy and iron, and was 75% higher than normal for fat. As per HEI-C diet quality of all the subjects was poor. Diet quality was not associated with anthropometric measurements of the subjects. Weak positive correlation was observed in nutrient intake and diet quality score, and no significant association was found between nutritional status and diet quality (p>0.05) and socio economic status and diet quality (p>0.0.5) of children. These complexes are significant not only for their redox-active role in several biochemical processes but also for the diversity in their magnetic behavior. Manganese complexes containing tetra co-ordinating ONNO donor ligands are well studies as the structural models of active site of many in Metallo enzymes. In the present study an attempt has been made to determine the water quality index of industrial outlet and along river Yamuna in Delhi, India. For calculating the WQI, the following eleven parameters were considered: pH, electrical conductivity, total dissolved solids, salinity, dissolved oxygen, biological oxygen demand, total hardness, calcium, magnesium, total alkalinity and chloride. A disturbing observation was the level of dissolved oxygen in Yamuna River at Nizamuddin drain which was found to be nil. The water quality index of gas turbine station outlet was 202.9136 and that of thermal power plant outlet was 207.869. The water quality index of Yamuna River at Nizamuddin drain was found to be the maximum at 262.555 indicating very high level of pollution. The present study revealed that Yamuna River was in a critical condition and the extent of pollution was extremely high .
